With the rise in bitcoin prices now when I made this topic has reached the price of 2769 USD, my hope can be translucent 3500 USD until the end of the year.

How do you respond about it, can or not bitcoin will reach that price?

It's not impossible to reach that price level especially with Segwit activate, bitcoin network is expected to more efficient which is more like draw more investors into the market. So the market cap is also expected to increase, which will further increase the price.

Bitcoin already broke in to the 3000 USD price barrier earlier but couldn't hold that price and came down. However, expectation is running high for August 1st and I think by the end of 2017, we will be able to break through 3500 USD price limit. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Now is price even higher :)
I expect that btc will soon reach $3000 level soon.
Not sure that we can reach the price of $3500 until the end of year because of many speculations in the btc market.
It seems that we have many sell orders around $3000 price, so in the short term I expect more up and down in the btc market between $2200- $3000.
Such higher price is maybe more realistic next year.

the goldman sachs prediction about bitcoin price came true when they said price will drop down below $2000.

now they have made a new speculation about it saying price will rise up to $3600 and if you read the details and take a look at the analysis you can see how it makes very good sense.

Bitcoin is now back on the rise again. I am not sure but there is a big possibility that the market has already discounted that BicoinCash announcement. Now, in case there can be no major disruption this coming August 1, then most probably Bitcoin can continue on rising and reaching $3,500 before the year ends that can be very feasible. Now, that is something really worth waiting. Let's ditch/dump BitcoinCash so it can be out of our way as soon as possible.

This is possible because a series of central banks in each locality have accepted the bitcoin payment.
As you have seen the market can not go down any more, only a few people are too scared and sell all the BTC they have but they forget that the BTC has great support from the community. .

And I think that it will reach $3500 earlier. The risk of network disruption is little, so we will see growth after August 1.

Until the end of this year price might even cross $5k easily and I think when all this fomo and chaos around hardfork will over on 1st week of august price might reach $3500 which will be new all time high price.

In my opinion yes, bitcoin can break $3500 by end of 2017, I think it is quite likely. Once all the FUD around the altcoin fork is over we will rise.

I really think bitcoin can reach $3500 by the end of this year maybe even more. Bitcoin is strong and I do believe it will exceed its obstacles like the August 1 event, just give it time and surely it will be back to where it drop off even reach a new ath by the time it finds its track. Let's just all wait until this drama is over and we will know what will be the result whether bitcoin is splitting or not it will still increase.

If the price of bitcoin will be greater than the last all the time high which is $3,000 then it will be easy for it to reach $3,500 and more but since there are still a lot of bad news coming about the hard fork then we can't be sure if the price can reach that far by the end of this year.

Bitcoin went up despite all the internal political struggles and scaling debates, so now that the air has (mostly) cleared I think Bitcoin still has a new ATH in stock come November - just in time for Segwitx2 to get the market swinging again. Kinda funny though how one of the factors that probably started the initial rally (namely the BTC ETF speculations) have completely fallen off radar by now. Time flies when you're having fun~

Honestly I'm pretty sure bitcoin prices could be better than current prices. See the possibility of bitcoin prices predicted to increase, although I'm sure the next few weeks there will be a decline in bitcoin prices. For those who can be patient then hold bitcoin at that time can be profitable. Bitcoin at the end of the year has a positive upward trend.

I think it's quite a reasonable target to happen before the end of this year -- $3500 is just 25% away from current levels. If everything plays out well, I think we'll likely see the market attempt to break through the $4000 level this year. I however can't put my possible negative thoughts on the hard fork that is supposed to happen in roughly 3 months from now aside. Nothing guarantees that there will actually be a hard fork as should followed according to the rules of the SegWit2X proposal....

Now left with few more days to see the impact of all those bad news. As per me, it will not impact so much on Bitcoin prices and most of the people are supporting the original Bitcoin than Bitcoin cash. I feel that it Bitcoin cash may slowly disappear and finally, we see the only bitcoin in the market. I don't how much Bitcoin can grow by this year end but by next year end, we can see Bitcoin can crossing 5000 marks.

The price is very close at hand. I do not think that Bitcoin will reach 3500 USD, I know that it will reach it. It can even surpass that price within this year. After the current debate and issues about Bitcoin scaling, we will see Bitcoin soar up again and will reach more all time highs. There should be no doubts about it.

Price will probably begin tanking with the onset of BCC as both BCC supporters and BTC supporters begin dumping coins on both chains. I expect a ~$250 drop or more during the first week of August because of this. Long term, SW will make the price rise but it is not a perfect solution to the blocksize debate. Expect more debating and shit that we've been getting recently in the future.

In fact,Bitcoin already showed us what can he do.it will reach that point ever we can see greater price.
Activating Segwit will fastening Bitcoin transaction which mean we don't need to wait it a bit longer like before.
Because of this the price will soar to the moon.

My knowledge said we will see at least $4000 in the end of the year,but before that we will face another declining.
it will happen because of civil war in Bitcoin and shilling act from 'opposite supporter' but that won't last long just like they did back then

Btc price is still around 2600$ on 30th July. Many have predicted that the value will drop significantly before 1st Aug. But that has not happened. BTC is too strong. So there is a good possibility of price of BTC to go around  3500 USD. But I don't think that it will cross 4000$.

Seeking the current situation anything could gonna happen. It may uptrend to 3500$ if not face any further difficulties. But still looking to the present scenario it seems quite unpredictable.

Maybe yes att the end of the year, But it should also be kept in mind that in this year the price jumped from $1k to what is today, For that reason can not completely rule out a decrease in price,IMO if it is maintained close to the levels of $3k is a sign of solidity and stability.

By this year end only $3500 ? I do not think so. I guess where we had started this year will not be significant enough to decide where we are going to finish up this year with respect to bitcoin price levels.

After segwit activation I guess there will not be any hurdles bitcoin will be facing to have huge prices like $10,000 levels. Yes, I am expect prices to reach $4000 to $5000 before end of August month and then prices to test $10,000 levels by end of this year.

In my opinion 5k would be more reasonable. But 10k would definitely make me happy !

10k would make anyone happy but it's definitely not happening before 2018 or 2019. 5k or close to it will probably happen this year but I expect a correction or crash to happen at some point as well that will subdue the price for several months.

$4,5k is a little more realistic by the end of this year, i think it can reach that price. 10k its a little bit impossible, there are 4 months left on this year, so it is hard to reach, buy 4,5k is reasonable.

I believe and expect $3500/btc to happen this year. And also all members in this forum was expecting same thing with me. Strong struggle for me, survive since bitcoin rate is still in range of $200.

That's possible it almost reach $3000 a while ago and I'm very positive that the value will continue to appreciate I believe bitcoin was still undervalued...I am hoping that segwit activation will make favorable outcome to the price of bitcoin...

Very easy, Bitcoin has prove it's have support line very strong at $2000 and $1800 in few weeks ago, can't breakout this support make the price of Bitcoin bounce and increasing fast. The target $5000 in 2017 can reach if SegWit successfully.

The end of 2017 is still very long. So I feel optimistic that this target can be reached and maybe even pass 3500 $. Bitcoin is increasingly in demand and its development is really fast. Everyone wants bitcoin and use it in everyday life.

But I think next time Bitcoin need breakout resistance line $3000 first, it tried many time but still not pass this price. After increasing to near price $3000, the price of Bitcoin always rollback and correction price again. So, waiting breakout for confirm and buying Bitcoin in that time not bad strategy for keep safe money.

I completely agree with you, because nobody will damage this process. Even what we expected today, Bitcoin had no effect, and even the plug did not affect the price. The fact that Bitcoin has dropped by 100 dollars, it practically does not say anything. In its price, 1 or 2 percent and not a significant decrease.

The price of bitcoin does not fall during the panic and after the plugs. It's surprisingly stable crypto currency. No wonder they want to legalize. $ 3,000 is only the springboard to fly up. The 3500 dollar mark is very close and we could go there any minute now. Considering the fact that BIP91/BIP148 created no problem at all, the activation were as smooth as it can be and no split happened up until now, so we can easily say that we will be there in no time. We could even surpass that mark and I know that for certain.

I don't think we are that close. It might take a couple of months more. Plus we need to wait for the dust from the BCH fork to settle down to get a true idea of where the price settles at.

Reaching for 3500$ is so fast if we mean it will happen one of these days but the real score on this one is maybe we could see and taste it on few months ahead since actually for reaching that up it needs more buy support and for having bcc for now the thinking of investor will be split and maybe they will split also their capital to invest on both currencies.

The split does not negatively impact the bitcoin price movement. Currently bitcoin prices are very stable at 2800 $, so there is still a lot of possibility that bitcoin prices will increase at the end of the year. Even when bitcoin is increasingly in demand and used by many people then I'm sure when the price of bitcoin will increase very quickly. All unexpected and sometimes dreams can come true. The bench mark is $3000 and we are now close to that so the $3500 will happen anytime soon.
The activation runs smoothly and doesnt affect the bitcoin's price as everyone anticipated that the price will dump after it like things turned out the other way around. Really bitcoin is superb unpredictable.

Yes in fact the price can go even higher, I will not be surprised if bitcoin came close to the 4000 dollars, bitcoin has too much potential and with segwit activation people are going to begin to use bitcoin once again as a currency to make micro payments so trade will augment and with it the necessity for bitcoin and when the demand goes up then the price does the same.

For me its more possible to touch $3000-$3300 and have some fluctuation because now the people is in different altcoins like bitcoin cash as of now which is a big effect to the bitcoins to rise . But still we don't know crypto was too unpredictable and anything can happen if it reach that $3500 then it is much better for us.

If the price of Bitcoin can't reach to this target, this is difficult circumstance for make the price of altcoin can recovery and increasing after long time drop down to base price. I think the trader on market will find the ways for helps Bitcoin starting bullish trend on market soon.

Yes you're right. It is possible to reach $ 3500 this year. Well, it's easy, if bitcoin transactions happen so smoothly, it might make bitcoin prices go up, and get popular. I think the price could be more than $ 3000

Getting the market to smash through the $3000 mark is just a first step. Second step is maintaining it for (initially) a semi longer period of time.

People shouldn't forget that in about 3 months from now, there potentially is hard fork that might put the market a few steps back since it is very likely that this hard fork will lack major support.

It basically means that we yet again will face a period of uncertainties. If that plays no longer a role of importance, we finally can move forward without thinking about anything related to scaling (at least for a few years).

Bitcoin will definitely touch $3500 by the end of the year. $3000 is quite reachable by September. Till November it can easily touch $3500. After the 2x hardfork in November which wouldn't be drastic the price will gain momentum and would easily reach $4000 by December.

This is normally happens because after SegWit need have time for stable the system and waiting signal buying from trader on market, but this year just is padding step for the growth of Bitcoin in next year. I believe the day Bitcoin reach to $10.000/BTC will be soon.

$3500 can be achieved in my opinion. The trend of bitcoin price seems to be strongly in favour of the people holding a long position, and when SW gets locked in as well as activated this trend will only accelerate.

Obviously i'm not saying that you should definitely invest everything you owns. I'm all for hedging your bets and trying to diversify your portfolio as much as you possibly can to avoid potential losses. any amount under $5000 can be easily achieved by the end of the year, but you are indeed speculating.

Actually i think it all depends on whether bitcoin can break $3000 or not. If $3000 can be broken than $3500 is easy.

Actually SegWit2x and Bitcoin had played a huge role which was not expected that it would be played. But now a days the confirmations speed goes boosted so people are willing to shopping with bitcoin as well. After lunching of BCC so the era of bitcoin will be totally changed. Like it will become a like local cash money so people come more than before.and also its price goes to high very soon

As of the time of this post, the current price of Bitcoin is at 2865 USD. Meaning we are very close in reaching that price and we could go there anytime soon. I thing that we will penetrate that price withing a month or two and will surpass that before the year ends.

$2860 right now and bitcoin continue to fluctuate, we have segwit be activated within a week maybe or segwit2x will be another chain split.
So, there are some problems which inhibits bitcoin growth and mostly because debates and drama to solve scale problems.
However, if segwit be activated and no need to do hard fork, then bitcoin could reach over $4000 by the end of this year obviously.

The price is really going strong as of the moment. $3000 first should be the target, resistance going and sustaining that price is so strong based on the experience when we touch it. People quickly sell some portion of their stash once they saw the price climb to $3000. But once we got over this barrier and sustainable then we can set our eyes on $3500-$4000. Let's wait till it goes to $3000 and see how the market reacts.

This will probably a close call because there are still 611 blocks needed. It is still on schedule, but we all know that there are a lot of drama again, we will have to wait and see then.

ofcourse there's a possibility that bitcoin would surpass that kind of price value since the bitcoin has a prediction having a big dump this november but it would definitely reach a $3500 value or more since i believe that if there's a big dump there will be also a big pump after that that's how big whales and people in the market manipulate the price of bitcoin.

I believe this can happen. See now bitcoin prices are already at 2900USD rates, stay waiting for a few more days to break through 3000USD and then 3500USD price will keep increasing bit by bit over the last 4 months. Later this year instead I predict that bitcoin can exceed 3500USD, see a lot of positive development going on and even now bitcoin has been more valuable than gold.

I agree it's going to happen too. But I think it can go a bit father, possible $4000 by the end of this year, would be amazing. At this moment BTC price is increasing and LTC is having a nice rise too, I don't know why...

As the price heads near to $2900 we have got increased chances of reaching $3000 in a short time period. Along with the ongoing price we need to think about the past where price reached few dollars away to $3000 and fell back below $2000. Hope the same won't happen again.

Certainly seems like a possibility, I would reckon Bitcoin will reach as high as 3K by the end of this month. The community behind bitcoin is super strong and after the hard fork, Bitcoin is already at 2,876 USD. Maybe we will reach 3k by the end of this week.

Yeah I think we will pass $3500 within the next few days and even if it has a correction it is quite sure to reach it well before the end of the year. I think $5000 is a more appropriate end of year target.

Right now the price has already risen to a level above $3000 meaning that there seems to be very little people willing to sell their bitcoins for under 3k anymore, and a lot of people that are trying to get in.

Market analysts from big banks all across the world seems to be saying that bitcoin is going to go up even further this year despite a lot of haters, for example one of the huge investment banks Goldman Sachs has said this in a public anonuncement.

$3500 honestly is going to be a piece of pie. That's only a $300 rise, which is completely normal in crypto trading.

I can't understand what is the think of whales and big boy on market! But I'm checking again in recently, the market always doing the opposite our hope our predict about a trend in short time, example Bitcoin Cash is the proof very clearly and nearest.

It was about time, 2013 was a terrible year for bitcoin, many thought that was the end of bitcoin but these new prices prove once and for all that bitcoin is back and the price could go even higher since the year has not ended, but even if it did not this will be one of those years that we remember with fondness since the value of our investments have grown greatly thanks to bitcoin.

Btc price already reach $3490 and obviously we are only $10 away. So $3500 is basically nothing, we could even reach more than that. It's still August, long way to go before the end of this year and $4000 could be possible as long others won't get panic.

We can probably touch it by the next coming days. Its averaging like $3450 right now. It can really push the price to $3500 once Segwit lock-in. A few blocks is remaining if I understand it. Maybe $4000 can also be reach at the end of the year. Although we still have the November thing going, I don't think that it will matter now as Aug 1 is the most feared date and we have overcome it already. i think we are very near to it and it can touch that price even today. but i think we are not going to stop here but we will proceed further and hope that the price of bitcoin will cross 5000$ at the end of this year because still people are very confident about bitcoin purchasing and they are not ready to sell it in present time but will hold it for next few months.

If most of the holders will just hold and treat their investment for their bright future I do believe that we will see more uptrend moves coming from btc value like what most of us I do also positive that 5000$ can be achieve by the end of the year or the early part of next year who knows as long as big players won't create panics we will going to keep moving forward.

The expectations of Bitcoin value is no longer  $3500 any longer but we are talking about $5000 if not $7000 before end of the year 2017. Bitcoin rise in its market value is so monumental to the extent that I could not believe my self because all my project are coming to fulfillment.

Looking the ongoing price growth $3500 is not a big deal. 2017 seems to be a best year for bitcoin and hope the same continues towards a better pricing. The price probably increase further and might reach $5000 by the end of the year or by the increase that happens by every year starting.

Seems very likely at the moment but under condition that the price keeps growing and that nothing disturbing happens. Actualy we have already been at 3500$ and it's the situation now to go above this value. But the price could also be stuck for a while at the current value, that would be nothing odd. We just have to have a little bit patience.

I think that the possibility for $3500 is at least 90% if not even more.

Segwit just got locked in today which means that people are going to actually enjoy the benefits of Segwit instead of just talking about it in a couple of weeks time. When Segwit actually gets activated on around the 22nd that is when i think the real pumps are going to begin. And that is only the end of the month and by no means near the end of the year.

If some whale decides to dump then it's another story but i don't think anyone would be into dumping atm.

Yes you are right the bitcoin price is continues to growth and 3500$ is not a big deal as compare to nowadays its price, so as looking to the increasing price of bitcoin this shows that its price will be very grow at the end of this year. What is the meaning of the whale to blame now? Bitcoin price all time is on the rise. In such circumstances, the whales can only enjoy their income. No now they just will not sell their coins. By the end of this year we can see more than $ 4,000.

The chances are really high for bitcoin to penetrate the price of $3500 at the end of 2017 we can see the price hike happening at this moment. The value of bitcoin positively attracts the market and because of that many are starting to invest for bitcoin the reason why the price is moving up..the demand on bitcoin is rising while the supply is limited so the effect is to increase the value to maintain the market.

I do not think those prices are possible, I think a more reasonable prediction is that bitcoin could reach a price close to 4000 dollars but to think we can reach 7000 dollars, that seems impossible for me, bitcoin will need to double its price in the time span of 4 months.

Bitcoin has already reached the price of $3400 today and crossing $3500 is not a big task for bitcoin.Instead,we could even expect bitcoin price to cross $4500 by this 2017 end.All this price rise has increased high only after hard fork as more investors started to buy bitcoins after it.

It seems both of our predictions were wrong bitcoin has already surpassed both of our predictions for this year and it has done less than two weeks after segwit was finally activated it seems that the strength of bitcoin is increasing exponentially and that soon no one will be able to stop it.

I think it can be more unless there will be a major correction that can happen maybe in December or January just like last year. But going into 2018 I can see more growths as this can be a year of great expansions. There are already so many countries that are laying the groundwork for Bitcoin and once they are officially open people would be more willing to have a piece of this great cryptocurrency.
