What changed? Two different forks. The first was a UASF fork supported by some Core developers throwing a bit of a tantrum over Segwit. That was predictably worrying considering we rely on these people behaving like impartial mature individuals in the service of the community. Luckily that fork is not happening thanks to BP91 The current fork is a hard fork supported by a minority miner, ViaBTC, in support of larger block sizes and is only a publicity stunt in my opinion. It is likely to be of very little importance for now. |
