Why not make it a poll?

I'll definitely dump the free altcoin and grow my BTC holding.

I'm a complete ignoramus about this, and I did read what Theymos wrote about the split thing--and I still don't quite understand it.  Are we getting BCC as a separate coin after the split?  How will we get that?  How can I tell if I only use Mycelium as a wallet?

Don't think I'll sell either way.  I'm trying to hoard everything I get.

If you have a non-custodial wallet (e.g. you own the private keys) you'll have both Bitcoins and BCC as they are different chains. With custodial wallets it depends on the policy of the service.

I'm not familiar with Mycelium though.

Yes make a poll so we'll know people are going to dump this free coin. so far I bought a lot of bitcoin and kept the private keys to gain more Bitcoin cash after the fork, but I have to see first how people will react after we gain free Bitcoin cash.

I want to dump my BCC but i only have 0.2 BTC at my wallet, its a penny but still free money  ;D

Add to that the transfer process is complicated for me.

I am currently holding 0.01 btc and i am buying altcoins with it. I have bought XRP, DOGE, SC, DGB and left with 0.004 btc . I know that BCC will be getting dumped after the fork and people will buy altcoins and it will rise up . Altcoins are getting dips now. Potential coins like ETH, LTC, XMR, DGB are at low prices now and its a great time to buy some them now.
With whatever BCC i get i will dump it to buy more altcoins which will give me more profit later.

I will see how is the crowd enthusiastic, I don't think it will be very valuable since a lot of people will directly dump it after they got the coin, if most of the people dumping it then I will also sell the coin because if not a lot of people using it then in the future the price won't go up

It's all inevitable, BCC later its price is definitely far below BTC. This is the same as a campaign project, if the coin has been distributed to the campaign participants then the coin will dump. The same as BCC later, when the owner has got BCC, then the price of BCC in the market will dump. I am sure it is, because BCC will be obtained for free and people do not care. Eventually BCC will become altcoin.

I only have like 0.25 BTC to get free BCH in airdrop, yeah they changing the ticker because another coin has BCC ticker. If the price is worth to dump at, I will dump, if it is too low I will probably hold. I will try to wait for the bottom also and see who is supporting it, then scoop some up at the bottom, if I can analyze the charts and be clever enough. If it gets to under a dollar I would love to scoop a few hundred up, save and forget and if it ever goes up to ten dollars, well I will have made a bit of extra pocket money. That's my initial plan, going against the grain, waiting in the wings to pounce like a wild cat.  ;D ;D ;D

it will be hard to get a good price for it, sadly everyone is going to dump as fast as they can and that crashes the price. BCC is not a regular altcoin to be dumped regularly with small amounts. it is a HUGE airdrop. i will try to dump it as fast as i can but i don't know how much i can get. but anything would be good because it is free money.

for example Byteball which is one of the best altcoins only got a small portion of bitcoiners linking their coins (about 70000BTC in the first round). this altcoin has ALL bitcoins linked which is about 16,400,000BTC
you can only imagine what that will do its price!

If the chain split happens, won't bitcoin's value decrease? so with bitcoin cash people will have some value in usd currency. If you dump it you will lose your money not earn.

I would be planning to hold BCC.. because everyone will gonna dump and will not get the right price for it.
better to hold for few weeks and see how it goes...
