Title: Getting Started In DATAMINING
Post by: StackMaster on July 29, 2017, 01:52:15 AM
I have spent the last few weeks gathering data and helpful information to create the following wordpress site for everyone that is new to this world of data mining and cryptocurrencies I hope you all enjoy this place and that you can learn a thing or to and use this place as a go to for information. I will also be constantly adding new stories from fellow miners to give people an insight into what they do to earn in their mining lives. Plus I will be trying my hardest to keep more content coming and organizing the site so that it becomes easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. As it stands there is easily enough content their for new miners to get started so please ENJOY?!?!

data mining and crypto mining are totally different terms

data mining is analysis of large amount of data to find predictable patterns, like predict diseases by the way of walking of humans during cloudy days.

and all your website is about mining crypto - a process of hash generation

Yes, for data mining, it is usually about different types of algorithm like K-means, classifier, regression...... It is the process of extracting useful information from raw data. So, better to name the website correctly so as to avoid confusion.

Albeit some confusion in the terms chosen by you which other members have pointed out, not a bad effort by you.
On a lighter note to everyone who is allergic to the word data mining' mining altcoins, bitcoins or any tokens is actually mining data, as the coins are itself only pieces of data encrypted and the coins have no physical existence, but only the data.

Than you all for the feedback and appreciate the suggestion of changing the name but in reality we are all mining data hence why i called it datamining. Yes it goes into detail about crypto but every algorithm for every coin is mined by solving data puzzles. Hence why i chose datamining as the name. But i do see why it is confusing.

I was completely thrown off and I hit your website. I know the some people that kind of mean about it, but yeah just because data involved in the mining process does not make this data mining. The majority of the mining that goes on with cryptocurrency is nothing more that Brute Force hash cracking. Obviously some other people have put a more in light definition for data mining up there but I just had to throw my two cents in because I really expected something completely different when I hit your website.
