real rally will start after 1 august. i believe ethereum will hit x2 after 1 august.

It depends how interesting becomes BCC, for traders. Maybe he can even take away some investors from ETH?
On the other hand it is always wise to buy when others selling in panic. I believe it can go much lower than it is now, because it is not main attractions currently,  but does not mean trends won't reverse in near future.

ETH rally will happen at some point, but probably not yet. When it happens, I'm expecting sharp increases. I'm not risking any trades from now until the bitcoin situation is resolved.

You have to wait at least 1 more week for such a rally. People still scared about 1st of august. And a few days will be needed for them to understand that there is no hard fork ;D

this is not a rally this is the come back after a huge dump, when people start FOMO buying at the bottom thinking it is the rally!

like always everything will come down to bitcoin and its price. if in the following month bitcoin price reaches $3600 as the experts have speculated then most altcoins including ETH will have a very bad time ahead of themselves because they will get dumped even harder.

but if bitcoin starts having problems with its rise and breaking the ATH, then it is possible that the money travel to altcoins to pump them instead while bitcoin gets its shit together!

Yes, it won't be yet. And yes, people are still thinking Aug 01. Also we have Aug 08 as the expected lock-in date for Segwit, and there could well be a "sell the news" effect once lock-in is confirmed.
Probably more volatility to come before a bull market returns.

After August 1, everything will be rallying. Not just ETH but also the rest of the alts. The dipping will cease after August 1. That would be the recovery period and breakthrough period right after the recovery. Bitcoin, ETH, and all the alts will all be going to the top breaking past all time high prices.

Getting closer to August 1st the discussions are getting more, most has some panic movements on their portfolio but let's keep in our minds that all movements has 90 degree turn points, buy when the market is bearish. BTC vs ETH...

Expected this much since the August 1 news. And we will feel more this August 1 UTC as we can see ETH win almost all transfer from BTC than all coins.

Just looked at what ETH looks like from coinmarket and it looks like eth and other alts are being pumped as money leaves the bitcoin market ahead of the scheduled bitcoin fork and imo this is something that is temporal and will change should the masses see the bitcoin market to be still favourable for investment and trade it will be a blood bath for the alts.

I'm thinking that people are moving they funds from bitcoin to altcoins because of the 1st August event.
And it's a surprise seeing the ETH trading volume in the past 24 hours in poloniex where it is 20-30k BTC more than the second most traded coin, since yesterday there is a slightly increase of price.

You're correct! This is just a temporary pump because lots of BTC holders are converting their coins to altcoins. If the confidence on BTC will be back after the anticipated split on Aug 1. then I can see red percentage on that chart.

I think eth will rise to $400 after august 1 if big whales stop to make speculation and will be happy with their new cheap coins.

What do you think ETH will be x2 after August 1? The division of bitcoin does not affect ETH. Conversely, I am concerned that the value of ETH will be reduced.

It doesnt really have connections about on August 1 event on bitcoin but seeing on the chart above on marketcap i can really see the movement of people on altcoin on which they do really move outside of bitcoin now.
We cant be sure if ETH would 2x on upcoming month, its really possible but we wont know on when for that thing to happen and for those who bought cheap ETH on previous days do really have the advantage.

ETH and most Alts have bottomed. After Aug 1st FUD is out of way, a big rally should take
most to new highs in next couple of months.

I'm not sure it will be that fast, I predict the ETH will be back in September. Lots of support for ETH, every project now uses an ETH token. No doubt, only time is still waiting for that time.

As we can see there are lots of eth-based project on the market which are on ICO state now if those project would really get some attention of fundings then expect price of ETH would rise up but for now seeing on the current state specially on hacked funds which is the main reason why the price have been dumped. If you do have a trust on ETH capability then its the best time to buy cheaper eth as of now.

Eth is down, time to buy more etherium fellas. If  i'll ve given a chance i wanna mine etherium too..if you can observe etherium is in majority of platforms of all icos here so i believe that's the sign of etherium to fly to the moon.

Finally it is undeniable that eth has grown a lot, and will grow much more.

For sure Ethereum will be back and would support this coin too, and you are actually right. Just take a look at most of the projects created now, most of them do really trust Ethereum because they use Eth token for their projects. And mind you, most of the projects are very successful too and raised thousands of dollars for the project. We will just have to wait after tomorrow and see the results of the split if what reaction it does affect on traders and investors too.

I don't believe that ETH will take off again like it did before. The technological weaknesses have become extremely obvious, the unlimited and uncapped emission is a cause for great concern, and general sentiment has slid on it. All these things mean that the coin is very likely to under perform in the coming weeks or months.

Thank god! At least someone knows that eth is not a good option for investment to have enormous profit in the upcoming months. It really needs tremendous changes and updates in order to meet the demands of the crypto market. It is not going to perform well after the Segwit.

Yes right now is the best time to buy at 0.069 btc per etheruem and hold it because rally might come soon before this month end. And though there are issues about the hacking of MEW account of ICO's still there are plenty of ICO that use eth platform it means that people still trust eth until now.

ETH is going to blow everyone's expectations out of the water. People will be unable to believe what they are seeing when ETH doubles in price. Far too many catalysts including MANY ICO's, a difficulty bomb that took place today, all the FUD dissipating surrounding Aug 1, Flippening inching closer and closer every month, Mayweather endorsement right before what will be one of the most watched fights in the past 5 years, and the list goes on and on.

You've got to be a complete fool to think that ETH will ever go sub $200 from today onward. BUY ETH, don't miss the train.

The issue hacking on MEW just by the person own this account not keep safe their private key, json file or cookie. Remember hacker can't rob data of MEW, but they can rob data in your PC by some ways as Virus keylog, Teamview ... and scan your private key for login your wallet and withdraw all. Don't blame this issue by MEW!

I feel like ETH might go up but it will come down again to around 200 or below.  Doesn't mean it will stay there it'll work its way up then go down to higher than before.  That is just the cycle most crypto follow and until I see ETH break it I refuse to believe my ETH wont be worth 190 or so at some point in the future.

I invested in Eth, I feel like there will be a huge pump this year. As these past weeks eth has its downtrend. So hoping it will recover this august.

ETH will undoubtedly rise, but we need to be patient. There are other things happening in the market. We have BCH at the moment, and it will take a while for that to settle down. Then we have segwit lock-in for BTC, which looks like it will happen within the next week. Once these have calmed, we will see lots of money flowing back to alts, and alts will rise with ETH leading the way.

Why would it undoubtably rise? We all remember there are problems awaiting ethereum. It is ought to switch to proof-of-stake if it doesn't want to crush again. I think soon we'll see eth having problems just like it was with bitcoin. When the problems will be solved, it may become great again. Not now. $200 is just a normal price for eth nowadays. Apart from potential problems, it already has some serious security issues. Lots of eth was stolen a couple of time. This coin is hard to trust nowadays.

Out of all the altcoins so far, I think Ethereum really has potential to increase more its value because aside from its progress, if you could see the charts in the coinmarketcap website it is next to bitcoin although I can not say it will take over bitcoin but it is next to it. Which means this coin really have greater purpose in the future too.

I think most alts will rise, and Eth as #2 will lead the way. I think a lot of money has gone from alts to bitcoin recently, so that people can take advantage of the free bitcoincash. I think that money will flow back from btc to alts.

There is no way the money will flow back to altcoins. Bitcoin cash is still better than eth and altcoins. As far as eth is concerned, it still needs many months to increase in value, leaving the investors with grand profit. Eth literally needs some good changes in order to make its position in the crypto world.

eth will rally, it is still undervalue, we will see eth at $1000 not takes too long times, maybe in the end of this year it will reach $1000

240$ break out has been reach as of now, as my prediction, ETH may hit 280-290$ by mid of August. Support is 180-190$ for a long time. I do hope it will continue to rise as many ICOs will be release soon.

Calm down the rally has not yet started it was just recovering from further falling. But there is nothing really to be worried about bitcoin has finally crossed $3k now all the coins eth , ltc , etc will start rising slowly. This can be proved by seeing the price of nem it has increased to almost $0.3 maybe $1 by end of this year.

The target of Ethereum in this year is $600 - $1000, in recently just by correction on market make the price of Ethereum comeback to base price (BTC), but then it recovery very fast and create strong support line around 0.07x - 0.06x BTC in current.

Falling price is also the way investors buy coins to finally pump,

It's not going to happen! for one simple reason! Many ICO startups will cash out to fund their projects! And scammers want to cash out to run!
It will start rally after some calm in ICO and some regulations!

I am really forward for a next rally but i find it difficult to see how that will happen,the price have risen from $10 to where it is now pretty fast and they were able to manage those high valuation for a long time and now the price is going down for a while,it might take a longer time to see another good rally in ETH.
