Because of the new Bitcoin fork, all cryptocurrency exchange have to stop trading Bitcoin in order not to lose them, and traders will move to the next cryptocurrency market (with nearly $18,649,021,000 Market Cap ) Ethereum , this will cause a surge in its price for a short period of time (maybe one week) .
Just keep an eye on Ethereum [ It'll probably start from 30 July at midnight ].

Most people will keep bitcoin when the fork happens in order to get the free BCC. Ethereum price will go up in the coming weeks but it will be independent of bitcoin.

This will not happen. Most of people will hold their bitcoins.
Lots of people believed that Bitcoin price will decrease before August 1 due to high supply. That prediction didn't come true. Your prediction won't come true too.

It is starting to look that way right now.

I just watched it at 0.071btc rise to 0.076btc like it was nothing just in a matter of 20 minutes.
So no doubt the pressure of bitcoin's impending price is the cause of this rise since the hard fork date is drawing closer to happen in less than 48 hours now.

I think that someone with a bunch of Ethereum is trying to cycle the amount of coins that they have before the price of Bitcoin increases during August 1st. Since the people within the whole Ethereum team were promoting the coin to higher ranked individuals those people promoted Ethereum as well.

The price of Ethereum looks like it’s going to get a price increase pretty soon. When more people realize that the price of Ethereum is going up in a very positive route then there would be new people that will invest in that coin, for the average non Bitcoin purchaser it is pretty tough to purchase Ethereum though.

Nah. Even if it was one individual influencing this bigpump of the price happening right now.
It is not possible to be done on ALL EXCHANGES.

I just watched this on one of them but the price is spread out to the eth price on the entire spectrum of the scale.
So it is not just one but must be a many many whales who hold alot and just did a massive buy up of these on all of the exchanges all at once.

it seems you are right, the price has already pump a lot, but i think there will be fluctuation these two days before 1 August

People are selling ether hard, and this is making the price decrease harshly. I think the negative situation will maintain in ether for some time.

You might be right though there’s been a few hacks that happened lately that can cause the price of Ethereum to go up/down from that one person. If it’s a group of hackers that are selling the coins for price manipulation then I would try to go all in just yet until people notice the amount of Ethereum is being moved within a 24 hour period.
Btc-e went down as well so I am not so sure if the people behind that will try to sell their coins off and make 90 million dollars from it. Ethereum can recover from that though it might take a while.

yeah, just wait to watch the performance, onething i can confirm is that the banker and the big whale will gain a lot by taking advantage of this opportunity, retail investor should watch your money

Just FYI, you don't need to preface threads with "I'm not a financial advisor".  I don't think
anyone here is, and if they were, they probably wouldn't be trying to pump up ETH.  lol

I can't argue against ETH anymore, having been completely wrong in the past.  It's probably
got more potential than it should at this point, and people have made CRAZY money with it.
I just don't see the utility in it myself, but that's just me.  And I sure as hell ain't a financial
advisor.  Rots of ruck with your ETH.

Its most unpredictable coin. But with ICOs regulation coming soon , hacks before and network freeze..I think this is just a bull trap. Anyway I predict BCC price around 20-30% of curent BTC price and I am 90% sure about it.

With ETH price I am 90% unsure about it rise. I think movement to 150$ is still possible. But crypto is just the game. No one for sure about anything. ETH could explode.

as your words, i just plan to do nothing with my coins, i don't sell any one no matter how dump it will be, i believe all of them will pump a lot in a long term, sell and buy frequently is a foolish strategy for me

The market seems to be stable and people are more focus on BCC and there are no news that eth is going up, before the forking news, the rumor of eth is going to replace is being heard in every where but since the stable condition I think people will focus on bitcoin and BCC

Just For the records, I have few dollars of ETH (something between $2 and $10)  ;D

As for my observations of you statements mate, you're partly right for this and I also seen that there were signs of spiking higher price on eth now. People were not afraid to divert their ruined focus on btc that's why they've found out the good trades is on eth for the main time and demand rises paralleled together with the current scenario of bitcoin demand nowadays. Even the bigger whales had their diversion, well smaller fishes were not gonna panic about those speculations behind our back.

I'm 1000% positive that ETH will gain value to BTC.

And I still cannot decide - to exchange BTC to ETH and hold.
Or to hold on BTC for getting free BCC on 1st.

ETH will rise but it will not go beyond 20% of it market price and it will not stay longer than 3 days , surely some of BTC traders try to dump their stocks to ETH exchanges they might fear of the downtrend of BTC of this forthcoming btc split implementation but most of the btc holders are quite optimistic that its market value will rise even though if BCC would exist or not after this fork delima.

In current doing the opposite not bad strategy. You can see in June and July if you decisive buying altcoin when have flash crashing on market, you will earning many more profit from do that. So, think carefully again before too late!

If that's true I really do hope Ethereum's price would go up and I'll keep an eye on that because I had a pending buy order for Ethereum for gas. And most probably because bitcoin will be put on hold because of the split so there's a great chance Ethereum will rise.

I don't see why not, the op is not predicting anything crazy or anything, the price of ETH has gone down as the bubble burst and people have bought bitcoin in order to receive bcc, so I do not see a reason of why ETH may not pump in the next days by taking advantage of the volatility of the bitcoin market.

The only one going up is bitcoin now.

That sounds very logical and makes perfect sense. If traders are temporarily unable to trade BTC, then they'll move to the next strongest coin which is ETH.

Really hard to predict. The price of the BTC oscillated between 2500 and 2700 usd the last 10 days. It happened something similar with the ETH. We will see this week if we can get big movements.

Exchanging your money for ETH seems like a better idea since I think the bitcoin cash market is going to be heavily manipulated by the miners and exchanges and it is not going to last much while we know the market for ETH is going to be there for a lot of time.

Today 01.08 we will see whats happens and we have an idea about eth down or up or all altcoins ..

Maybe today the price of ethereum increase because if the bitcoin price decrease for sure other investor will invest in ethereum because they have potential to increase in the future. And I hope if bitcoin decrease the next bitcoin will be ethereum because I have a lot of ethereum than the bitcoin or any altcoin . More ethereum more money to come with us in the future.

i think it will goes near all time high, but there is little pußhing down because many eth get hacked...

ETH right now is matching BTC price due to bots and noobs and hasn't compensated for two things.

1) it hasn't compensated for the fact that BTC is now back at ATH and ETH is still at half of it's ATH

2) it hasn't compensated for the fact that the value of BTC is now in two coins and when combined it brings BTC over $3000

Once a correction happens, ETH will be $300 +

I think BCH cannot last for long and when that happens bitcoin is going to absorb that market cap and we are going to see bitcoin above 3000 dollars, in fact it is very possible that the bull run continues and bitcoin reaches a new all time high after BCH disappears.

Well some bad news about Ethereum ICO and wallet online get hacked can't make the price of Ethereum drop to 0.01 as the predict most trader. It just stop around range @0.06-0.05xx BTC in short time when the market bloodbath and recovery very fast.
