I'm just wondering where people that might want to take advantage of a potential quick profit with their mining gear would solo mine BCC?  I know that viaBTC has a pool -- any other options?  Thanks!

I think the pool is probably just prepared but not running right now.

ViaBTC BCC pool is running.  The BCC chain is currently the BTC chain so it is mining BTC - has found at least one BTC block.  After the fork I presume it switches to BCC.

the viabtc one is a pool with PPS+ method.  OP is asking for a solo something like CK Pool http://solo.ckpool.org/

Is there an update on this sub.? I would like to know if solo is posable.

Possible? Of course it's possible. Is it a good idea unless you have a several hundred TH/s farm? You'll probably have better luck playing the lottery. You can use a profitability calculator to see how long it would take you on average to solve a single block solo mining.

You can mine it solo a couple ways:

1) ViaBTC - just set the pool to Solo instead of other payout methods

2) Local to your wallet - Easy to setup

I also have a private solo BCC pool setup. Pretty easy to set one up too.

You can use ViaBTC. Just change your setting to solo and you'll mine solo. But be wary, unless you have a really good rig, you're most likely not going to find anything.
