Usually before the gpu dies, the fan would die first.

Google: <GPU_Name> <algorithm> hashrate

It depends, but most of them survives 2+years even in mining mode.

Usually the fan will sound weird with some clicking like noise, like scratching something around the fan.
But to be honest I never came to a point when the GPU died out.
The longest card I have used and kept is about 5 to 6 years before the card replaced with another upgrade.
The longest I had running on a card is about a year with in between stopped for no more than a day before started to run again, actually 3, 4 years about and a longer break for a day to a week time.

Some cards I have are mining 2+ years and they are fine (fans are fine) but It has happened to me that a card just died after like 10 days of use.

Most of the manufacturers provide atleast 2 years of warranty on GPU..
only zotac provides additional 3 years on their website registration

So within warranty period, you can use tension free.. but if you plan to mine with gpu.. do expect shorter life..

2 years is the warranty, you should only be worried about that, after that your are alone, and if you don't go very high with the temp they can last very long, even 5 years, but the fan i'm afraid will stop way before that if you run them 100% all the time
