My question is if you have $10 which altcoin will you prefer to invest and why?

I think i can invest only $10 per month and i never invested in altcoins so far.

You can invest in Ardor, Golem, Stratis, Waves, Ark, BAT, LBRY credits ... these are all long term holding coins which has high chances of potential increase and you can buy minimum of 1.5 or more units for 10$ every month to keep accumulating

Just buy bitcoins and hold for as long as you plan to save. On the other hand there are a lot of good altcoins to choose from, like monero, ripple, litecoin, dash etc etc

I thought i can buy too low priced coins so that i can get good number of coins and keep it long term for profit. In this do you suggest any coins and i just checked kickico also?

I wouldn't invest right now don't invest into an overbought market. Everyone is buying right now the price is rising so the outcome won't be great.
After the market falls look which projects are active and invest into them my tip would be in the future: waves bcs the CEO is kinda a very active guy.

Probably after August 1st, some altcoins will be up again because effect of Bitcoin Hardfork. You can try to invest on Waves, Stratis or Ethereum because they are on development and new project using these contract as their platform, it also proves they are really famous with their platform.

10 us dollars is not a big loss (eventually) so try to find the ICO with higher risk / reward, don't mind if the project is scam, for this amount i personally think that doesn't matter

$10 is not huge amount and don't expect huge profit from those capital of money and predict the movement price of altcoin is quite hard because we as the traders cannot know next coming price from the particular altcoin unless you're joining trading signal with 100% accurate so you can know upcoming pump or dumped but to avoid huge loss from those amount i think stick to the major altcoin such as ETH, LTC or maybe Monero

Since the price of ethereum drops very hard from its previous price, i can say that it is good to invest now in ethereum with that $10 and hold it for long term because there is a chance that amount can be doubled or tripled if the price will start to climb again. You just need patience to achieve those possibilities.

Best to invest in a low cap coin and look for a few x long term. Risky but you're wasting your time with anything else if you want to turn 10 dollars into something substantial. Do your research though!

Try to invest in VSM or TRC coin this is good for a long term and a very active dev also a team always find a way updates there token and coins if dev is active then its a sign that this coin or token is good to invest.

Capital is very low so you will get low profit, if you have only 10$ then invest in ICN, VSL and Stratis. These currencies have potential to increase higher in less time.

Although $10 in small amount but not have anyone can say it can earning good profit, if you take advantage some opportunity on market in past days until now, I think you can earning 10-50% profit everyday is possible. But remember you can do that when you have skill trading and trading with altcoin, not only Bitcoin

Invest in Waves, it's the perfect time to buy. The market was alot higher a month ago.

You can go with established tokens like Litecoin or Ripple, but you should do your own reseach and understand on what you invest.

I'd buy a few waves for $10.

I invest in promising ICOs that come with innovative projects like f.e. Solar DAO with worldwide solar parks or CareCoin that brings together nurces with patients. So I can support interesting development projects and also gain good profits even with little money in the future. And I save a little amount on "old" altcoins like ETH, ZCASH, DASH, LTC and Doges ( :) ).

Investments under 100$ are not serious investments. For me best are those in between 500 and 1k per project. And if you can earn 10% then you can call this return. Us this 10$ and go to Prime Dice or similar destination where you can try your luck.
Or if you believe in miracles go buy URO coin on YoBit and wait Bohan to return.

I think i have decided to invest in ico. Though it is too much for me i have increased my investment to $20.

But now i am struggling to get BTC and then need to convert it to ETH.

If I have $10 to invest every month, I will choose to buy some ETH as a long term investment, I do not think ETH will be bring you more than 10x profit, I just think the price is stable and you will not lose all the money.

Why don't you invest in altcoin? Investing in altcoin is very profitable for the short term and if you want a long term investment then invest in Bitcoin.

Yes agree, a lot of unexpected things when altcoin investment, up and down can reach hundreds of percent in a day so altcoin investment is the best choice even though we only have $ 10.

I think you have a good habit with investing with only few and monthly investment, so do I, and I will keep them as a long term investment since I want to get big payback and I insist long term investment is the best way, just like btc. 

With a capital of $10 many people who managed to make a change, Altcoin is very interesting because of many unexpected changes.

Piecoin at present has room to grow 3-5 times and it will make masternodes and will be cheap for masternodes. I am going long on INSANE COIN, JANUS TOKEN and a few others. I also bought ETHEREUM mining contracts today as well for passive income and they only cost 2.5 USD per plan.

10$ is such a small amount.  For me, I would put that 10$ into Bitbay.  You can accumulate 500 tokens for that.  It has a small marketcap so it has big potential for returns.  It's also a safer investment then most people think, as the dev has been working on the project for years and never abandoned the project.

Another option is just to keep active on the forums and build your rep.  There are projects which airdrop their tokens for free to forum members.

$10 is a small investment you can buy new ICO tokens from this money. You will get a big amount of tokens for this money. But you can not expect instant profit you need to wait for a long time to make a profit. My suggestion is to invest on waves it is a good project, and you can make a profit in the long term.

I think if you can't choose which altcoin are you going to buy, just buy btc. I think it's really the best decision to buy BTC nowadays. BTC price may decrease but it increases even more and recovers fast in just short time. If you want to earn a lot, invest as early as you can.

Maybe i'm unlucky but all ICO i was interested in asked for a minimum contribution of 0.1ETH

If 10USD is a lot to you and you are not comfortable to take risks, then ETH can be a very good choice. Otherwise, you can watch the announcements and identify the coins with best potential to you.

You may buy Waves. Or even better get some Golem or XEL. These coins have huge potential. Also try to get some knowledge about scalping. In addition to this I suggest taht if you do have some time get yourself enrolled in signature campaigns of new ico projects.

Waiting 10 years for $1000 is not really a good idea. I suggest you start with an ICO, right now I've invested in Presearch, they aim to rival google as a search engine. Lot 1 just ended, which was being sold at $0.075, Lot 2 will begin selling soon, I think price is $0.20

I think all these ICOs are overvalued.  What are you getting exactly? A whitepaper, a roadmap, a testnet at best, and a team with no track record that you dont' even know will be around for 6 months.

Compare that to Bitbay that has a working product, 3 years of development from one the best developers in the space, and upcoming feature that solves a real problem in cryptocurrency (rolling peg).  

Waves is interesting but it's 200M marketcap compared to bitbay's 20M means that Waves has to go to 10billion Markecap to get 50x return.  It also has to complete with a very saturated space of endless projects all vying to become the next platform.

10$ in bitbay can easily become 500$ in a year when Bay hits 1$.  This is very possible if you follow the community and where the project is going.

If I have a $10 I would invest but looking at market conditions for trade and also it will affect the benefits that we can produce big profits. but at the moment we should should be able to withstand the possibility in the future will happen increasingly raise market prices so that we get more profit anymore. I believe our future investments with guaranteed ;)

If have $10 i prefer to invest on altcoin who have very active coin price changes or the altcoin who have low price like doge coin. Because the capital is not much I need to multiply it bit by bit.

It's like repeating my past first. The first time I know about bitcoin and altcoin in 2015. I start with 10 $, and I buy xrp coin. And so multiply to 1000 $, and I will advise you a good coin to invest in ltc now. Do purchase ltc you will feel the profit 1 year ahead.

Good question, I did the same thing like only spend 10$ per day trading and stop after losing everything or winning another 10$. So, if I need to gain good profits in ONE MONTH with 10$, I think I will choose some coins that their prices can change rapidly like XMR or something else. I think that's a good idea to cover our balance but it won't lead us to a big profit per month.

I would invest in a coin like Bancor or Ark. The technology behind them is sound and seems very promising. Also they are relatively new so their price is relatively low and matches your budget.
Best bang for your buck in my opinion.

Bancor is the no. 1 highest crowdfunding ever but the price now is very cheap, meaning it's not performing well or the people
have not seen any progress yet. It's going to be a success as it has its pride why people have trust them with that big money to invest.
I don't know what is the ICO price of bancor but I am sure it's cheap now analyzing its chart.

Don't think it is a good idea for invest with that amount ($10 per month).
Better use your money in other ways to increase your capital then invest to some new ICO which you think they are good.

I think you should invest in Antshare or Neo and you have to monitor the market regularly to take profits for everyday, it will help you earn more quickly.

10$ is very less ,even if he double its money it will not affect anything,no matter what the investment asset is ,unless you put some good money to invest then only you will feel profitable,if you keep gambling with 10$ or 20$ ,you are only wasting your time and in trading it will take time to increase its value.

yes i think so, If you want to invest $ 10 it would be difficult to get a lot of profit, so if you want to invest is good for the long term, but you have to choose a coin that really has good potential such as bitcoin I'm sure the next three years bitcoin will have a pretty good price compared to the price now, so hold your coin to get the profit you want.  :)

$10 per month is not too much for investing.
I'll invest mine to bitcoin like I will buy bitcoin as much as I can as I know the price will sooner gets to the moon.
Maybe buying some promising altcoin one at a time that can add to my portfolio.

I must ask whether your $10 per month investment is for a long term basis. If its for a long term then perhaps you can choose those who may not increase in value for the following month but for the next several months. If its for a short term then even shitcoins are good for investment.

Anyway, I prefer DGB, XEM, RDD, Strat, and Waves.

Why these coins?
For $10 I buy some waves and litecoin.
In these I can have some good volume of coins for long term besides $10 is not that too much for buying potential coins.

If you only have 10 $ to invest maybe if i were you i will try to choose small shit coins that have big possibilities to grow. And after with the gains of these coins that can often be multiplicated by 10 you will can buy tokens with a better value for the future. I will not recommand you coins like bitcoin, etherum, monero because too expensive for you so i will go to sia coin, gamecredits, mobilego, evergreencoin. There is not one way to win in crypto, even with 10$ so i wish you good luck :)

Since the difficulty of mining ETH is increasing $10 monthly to ETH is going to be a good choice. But don't forget those underrated coins that are making out some noise like stratis. Just depend on how those coins are reflecting with the demand in the market, just don't buy coins if you don't have enough knowledge with it.

I think invest in BTC. $10 is small amount so if you invest in any altcoin than you have to wait for long time for good profit. But if you invest in BTC, may be you will get good profit in short time also.

With $10 you should wait a project like Ethereum which will make them ×400. you should have bought ICN when it was just $0.13, it is over $3 now and still cheap.

I think you need earning money and only after think about any investitions. As variant take part in bounty campaigns.

10$ is a very little investment to invest in any coin, the coin which you are going to invest will return you more than 1000% in order to be beneficial from it. When BTC was 10$ it is a very good investment at that time. Now I cannot able to guess which one will give you 1000% profit.

I think 10$ is a small amount  but if you choose the proper coin then you may be 2x to 10x profit for sure.

$10 can't do much... But if you were a risk taker, then you may check those coins with very low satoshi, eg. 0.00000010 or below. Read the coin's news, make sure it is still alive, invest it and wait.

Well, if I have $10 I think I would invest in altcoin and I think it will help me to gain a lot of income. In addition to that,  there ar many altcoin that you can invest and as of now the price of altcoins are already goes up. Lastly, investing in bitcoin is one the best option that you can do if you really want to gain much profit.

I am pretty sure that the person asking the question would want to make their money plus have some profit from only a $10 investment. Investing that $10 into Piller, Voise or any of the newer coins that aren’t within the top 7 coins would be a high risk move since the price of those coins aren’t as reliable compared to those that been around for a while.

Investing $10 and forgetting about it would be a smart thing to do, just make a withdrawal when you remember that the investment was put in place. The top 7 coins is a smart choice.

$10 is very small amount to invest in any coin. You can invest in any altcoin which is in PRE- ICO stage after doing research . Atleast small profit you can make it as the price rises. You can join any signature campaign and get more btc and then have some more $ to invest in such coins.

I will invest it in bitcoin because that is the main currency and also the king of all the cryptocurrencies so having it is a good option and i will just use that $10 to trade from an exchange and after i earn i will divide it on altcoins for another good investment.

i think you should better invest in tokens like carecoin or some other pre ICO stuff which could be more profitable with a small amount of $10 and if not then losing $10 is not a big deal I guess. It don't seems to me that with such a budget there will be plenty of options to avail but any how you should try your luck in ICO.

i think i will invest in only 3 coins with using $3 for each coins. the coins is xrp, dgb, nxt. if i can do it at least for 6 month, i think i can have at least $18 for each coins and its a big amount for me. and don't forget, for making invest $3 for each coins, i still have $1 and i can use to buy another coins in every 3 month.

If I will invest $10 into any altcoin I would wait or look for any ongoing ICO then after the ICO I will sell it, but not all of it.

With $10 to invest I would go in a promising ICO. With 10$/month I would go on an alt which has potential and buy a little each month.

WTF, are you kidding me :o? 10$ for invest a project ICOs promising is impossible, if still can do that the profit will very small and not enough for pay fees sending. You can try trading with altcoin if you have small amount funds in first time :)

This is the most sensible scenario with "investments" of this size. You may just end up getting a couple hundred % gains, after which you can do it again and maybe pick up some better long-term coins.

Search the market for yourself and buy one new altcoin every month which has less than 20 sat price. They have nothing to lose some eventually you'll end up making some profit at least.

Carecoin? Are you being serious right now? There is nobody that will want to accept Carecoin in stores and shops all over the world. That plan of thinking seems a little too small compared to most ICO’s out there that have a tangible project or product that will help people make money along with having a practical use within the real world situations.

I just don’t imagine people to shout out that they accept Carecoin and prefer to use Carecoin over Bitcoin because that type of coin doesn’t really have a fit insider of the Crypto game when Bitcoin is the leading Cryptocurrency.

 There are many choices you can choose on which alt coins you can invest and it totally depends on you, I will recommend to invest on small market prices first like, ARK, Monero, LBRY, and etc.  don't go to high investment because its to much and you will earn so little and you can only invest $10 per month, but this is not a bad idea you can earn by doing this as long you are consistent and have patience to wait. I think you will get profit by doing it but not right away. It takes time but I know for sure you will earn and just be patient, you will see the result in the future.  ;)

If possible try to get more money to invest, fees can eat up your capital especially one as low as that, so if I were you, instead of using those 10 dollars to invest I will take my time to raise more money and while doing so, learn the most I can about trading that way when you have an higher capital you will be ready to trade as well since you will have the necessary knowledge to make an informed decision about how to trade.

I will probably invest my $10 to different coins such as;litecoin and ethereum because as I can see,those two has a big potential of growth as it is getting popular with the coin investors.I already have invested on bitcoin so I will not invest the $10 to it again.

I'm sure 10$ is very less investment even considering with the altcoins. You can rather go for selecting only one coin which deem fits your monthly investment. Do not greed about having more coins at the same time as you will end up loosing investment. Just buy and focus on one coin which is stable and continue to grow through the time. As you are investing only 10$ hence this is best strategy to earn back more.

I hope you are not planning on buying altcoins for 10$ every month, because the fees will kill your investment. The sensible thing would be to save your monthly 10$ to invest let's say 120$ once a year.

I think you bitbean would be a good thing. I mean if you have a little amount you can sprout (PoS) and hodl and check the market. On the other hand, just go for the thing that you think is the most promising.
It also depends if you really are into a coin or just wanna make some quick money.

The price of ETH is very far away from its all time high so it is reasonable to think that at some point in the future ETH will go even higher than that price, maybe it will happen in a few months or years but it is going to happen so it is a good idea to have some holding of ETH and take the easy profits.

10$ to be invest in your self so you can earn more once you are able to earn 100$ then BUY bitcoin  ;D

If I have $ 10 to invest I would invest in bitcoin to seek profit from them. But now the bitcoin market is fluctuating badly, I'm afraid the bitcoin will plummet. Currently earning money from participating in bitcoin campaigns is much harder than before but I persevere.

I would suggest to buy some cheap but reliable coin. For example waves. With 10$ investments per month you can accumulate around 7-9 waves by the end of the year

always buy in a dip (-5% atleast). Look for Masternode coins. Ones using X11, X14, X15 algorithm.. make sure there's low resistance in the initial part of the sell orderbook for the coins you buy into. This method is great for microcap coins as the price can double in a day due to the coin being pumped through low resistance sell walls. So try to apply this method to the coins you find now by following the steps.

Exactly, are you a student? As the members said above, that's not a huge amount. In the investment world, whatever your investment always applies the rule that big capital means big profits, and small capital means a small profit too. Although you expect a long-term increase, with such a small capital, you probably will not feel the profit generated, because over time, all the price goes up...

If your budget is $10 per month, it is better if you focus on a single coin for now. That is basically for holding. You may choose one from among those on the top. DGB or Verge or NEM are better choices. But do not just add monthly to it. Try to look for a proper timing. Buy low always.

Why not try to invest in IXT.
This project is about insurrance marketplace and very brighter in the future with low capital of funds and easy to pump high.

to me it does make sense to invest litlle money to see how you manage it, you will learn the risk behind your choice and you will not be burned like some people who start to invest every single money of their account and then lose everything in 2 months

Its more like Systematic investment, but the OP need to make lot of study regarding which coins he would invest that amount. Coins with low value, new projects with strong team can still give lot of profits. It doesn't take much time for 10 to become 100 soon.
But OP also need to consider transaction charges as he need to convert $ to BTC and then interested coin. So effective investment will be lesser.

Another option is to collect the amount of investment and wait for dip in interested coin, so he can get more coins with same amount rather than averaged out value.

I bought PIECOIN for $10, It jumped and I had $115. But I ended up selling at $70. It is possible for $10 to be $100 and than $100 to $1000 ;D

10$ of investment would not really make sense if we want to get some profits on our investments since if we put some little money on certain sites there we can expect that we can gain a little also but if we can gamble that little money on tradings in gamblings well maybe we can get some chance to make it grow more bigger since their are certain jackpot situation will hit on gambling aswell on tradings where we can earn huge on big pumps.

Why would not really make sense? I have a friend become to millionaire just from invest to HYIP site and after one year working hard for marketing, he has get rich from it + trading. So, don't think $10 is small amount for investment, I'm aslo from zero before have stable income as today.

Buy FunFair (FUN) altcoin for $0.01 and when they go to $0.02 you will double your money.

Your friend got lucky investing his $10 and works hard to get downline as affiliate. Well $10 is a small investment but I think if you put effort in it the result will be rewarding in the end. But for me, if you go trading, this is just a small amount to begin with. What you can do is just used this money as a trial for you to get into the market. Feel how the market moves and see how long your $10 will take you. If you got lucky in about a months time you can make 10x of it. It just timing and luck to be on your side to get you started and grow your $10 investment.

Its better to invest your money in waves coin because possible this coin become hundred dollars price before end of this year or maybe next years. Waves coin have potential to increase the price more like ethereum coin.

For long term and based on the prices of alternative coins now, I would suggest stick to high cost coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum. May take awhile to profit but for long term is will surely double the prices soon.

It is a good start no matter how big or small the amount is. If I want to invest $10 per month, I will buy BTC. Unless you are able to buy the altcoin with your currency directly. Or else the transaction fees will be a big % of the $10 if you buy BTC and transfer BTC to an exchange to buy altcoin. 

I think I would just buy Verge or Sia. They are the best cheap coins right now. Verge has roadmap ahead even and it will be successful I am sure.

If I have $10 I invest it to trading sites. I believe that I have good ability in trading and I was hoping that I develop it more. In addition I make sure that $10 I have will increase, maybe the I try to invest in ethereum, waves and litecoin. This coins were shown a lot of potential in the market.

$10 is actually a small value for an investment, but a good choice for invest it in altcoin, buy the low price coins then you forget that you ever bought it, then wait a few years and maybe the prices have already increased 10x

I thought you mistyped 10$ for 10k$ dollar, but no :D ! Frankly who is even bothering with 10$ ? Anyway I would put it in a well-picked ICO, that is what will bring you the most profit.

The amount doesn't matter much. So I don't care if I am investing $10 or $10,000. Right now Bitcoin Cash is looking very attractive, and if I have to make an investment, then I'd go with Bitcoin Cash (BCC).

After reading this thread, it seems most of you are pretty bad at investment advice, considering half of the replies are "Don't invest only $10"
So, I have done the only sensible thing, and I went and actually Invested $10 in Altcoins.
Here is what happened.

Fist I used Coinbase to buy $10 worth of Litecoin.  The reason for this is lower transfer fee and faster confirmation to send to exchange.

Next watch youtube videos on day trading. At this point I realise half the coins I have invested in so far are pretty bad investment.

Wake up and check markets. Some of the pump and dump coins are up, so SELL SELL SELL, and recover money.

Decide on better investment strategy, start transferring LTC over to Bittrex. The reason, Bittrex has a higher volume, can trade more often.
Only invest in coins from coinmarketcap top 100 with Bittrex account
Do some sleeping, watch some VR porn, go outside.
Realise trading pump and dump coins on nova and Yobit is high risk, high reward.
Do smart math, some coins can be bought for Doge and sold for BTC for instant profit if the timing is right.

So the answer to the original question, Buy all the coins. You will learn more trying to turn $10 into $100 than someone with $1000 ever did.  If it all fails in the first month, you got $10 worth of good lessons from it and can try again with the next $10.
also Follow the one rule.... BUY LOW SELL HIGH. if you follow that rule you cant loose money. I even have it on a 'post it note' on the wall just incase I ever forget.

I made a lot of the profit for this experiment from Cream, Asafe2, Kangaroobits, Ripple, Funfair and Elastic.
That does not mean I would buy them all again now.
The best time to invest is is yesterday, the best amount to invest is whatever you can afford to loose.

I think that if you only have 10 dollars to invest then there is no point on being very careful it is just 10 dollars for that amount of money I will take my chances and put it all in a recent ico or a coin that just came out of the ico and that its price plummeted you can lose your money but it is the best chance you have to make some money.

If you have only 10$ please go to a restaurant and buy yourself a meal. You can't invest with such small amount. Find a job and collect money. After you make some capital you can start investing. You can't do anything with only 10$.

In my personal experience, Waves and ETH are one of the best altcoins you could invest in. This is for long-term investment, you should probably store your 10$ every month so you'll have higher chances of getting bigger values. You just need to be patient and wait for the right time to cash out your money when the value is high.

In my opinion should be selective and careful before investing in ico, because this is to minimize the loss of an investment that is not clear.

$10 is a little bit on the light side but I suppose that you could start with some simple and do all coins. Keep in mind that if you've never done this before you're probably going to lose coins and that is perfectly natural there is a heavy learning curve.

I hope that you have the time to put into this the resources to put into this and the follow-through to stick with it. Most of us it front of a computer between 12 and 18 hours a day just looking at the Investments. That's what it takes to turn $10 into something more.

I am not much sure about this coin. Among altcoins, only few coins are doing great currently. I will suggest him investing into waves, neo or eth for an immediate profit. Waves are ready to take a ride to moon, so better invest into it. But if you want the best option, it is as usual bitcoin.

I would advise you not to think of it as "just" $10 dollars.  Pretend you are investing $1000 by diversifying into portfolio so you can get a feel for investing in the crypto markets.  It won't have the high risk/potential for doubling it overnight it would if you were investing in a lower market cap coin, but it will better prepare you for if you ever decide to invest larger amounts.

I agree with this, even if the potential to earn big with cryptocurrencies is there and we can transform a small amount of money on a lot of money we still need a decent amount of capital 10 dollars is too  little, you will need to buy a coin that has a very low price probably below 5 cents of a a dollar and hope it pumps but even if it pumps 100 times you are only going to get 1000 dollars which is not much.

You can invest any amount you have. You don't need to buy 1 coin, you can buy partial amount of them like (0.1 ETH and so on) . But, with small amount you have you shouldn't think to earn much because the profit you would get is small with your current initial funds.

But, as the time progress you can earn much with your current money if you doing trade regularly.

With $10 it's not impossible to turn it into $100, if you had put it on BNB binance last week you would be taking home over $60 about now. Then that could be reinvested and so on, need to be lucky with the timing.

I think this is a bad idea, 10 dollars is not much to begin with, he is probably going to lose most of that money in transaction fees, I think it is a way better idea to invest in an ICO and hope for the best if everything goes wrong then you lose that money but if things go right you multiply your money and now have a more decent bankroll to begin trading or investing.
