Title: [ANN] [GME] [GIVEAWAY] 1000 GME to the next ten users! | http://alt-co.in
Post by: jayo89 on May 15, 2013, 02:50:38 AM
UPDATE: We're currently running a GME-giveaway promo. The next ten new users to sign up and provide bitcointalk as the promo code will receive a 1000 GME sign-up bonus!

I'd like to get this coin in more hands.
Alt-Coin Slot Machine currently supporting  GME, FTC, BQC, WDC, DGC (Will add/remove currencies with demand)
Automated Escrow Service currently supporting  LTC, GME, FTC, BQC, WDC, DGC, CNC (Will add/remove currencies with demand)

alt-co.in is dedicated to stabilizing the value of various cryptocurrencies by providing a purpose or transaction medium outside of an exchange.  Our *insane* theory is that money is more valuable when it can actually be spent on things.  So aside from investing money in the coins we feel have merit, we also invest our time and skill to try to produce an environment more conducive to money flow by providing purposes for these currencies outside of an exchange.

http://alt-co.in - 0% Withrawal and Deposit fees (Standard network fees for individual coins still apply).

We've recently made some changes to the main dashboard layout, including the addition of free transfers between alt-co.in members:

Looks like at least MinCoin and BBQ Coin to be added by tomorrow, probably more to come.  I've also done a quick UI update to make some room for the new currencies.

Also, cheapest place to get Bitbars?  Jesus they're expensive, but I'll need something to start the Jackpot off with.

Does it matter? What gives value to coins is their ability to do more than just be traded. If you were the first to adopt it into something other than trading, it could gain value and then you'd be sitting at the top.

Seriously, it was named perfectly for what you're doing. You can't lose, IMO. I'll even send you some to get started.

I'm liking what I hear, and it's not a lot of effort or risk as far as i can see.  want to PM me links to the client/source and some more info?  I'll need to compile for our particular server build.

This is what mining all these alts are for sometimes. Maybe you can actually win enough and have .5 BTC worth to cash in.

Right?  I actually started this a few days ago because i mad the mistake of dumping a bunch into FTC before the big crash.  i was looking for something interesting to do with it so i didn't have to cash back in and stare at my loss, and couldn't find any slots for alt-coins really.

what are the winning odds?

We're aiming for an average payback ratio of around 90%, which is above many standards.  We're always tweaking the algorithm to try and make sure this goal is met, and the more data we have the better.  I'm actually considering adding a "free play" option just so we have more spins coming in to analyze and be sure we're getting the right ratio.

Sorry, I should clarify, single-reel wins are on the first reel only, as in common in many slots.  I should make that more clear in the "Winning Plays" section.

What's the hashrate like on some of these alt coins?  We may be dropping CHNCoin soon due to the fact that the CHNCoin network is giving really slow confirmations.

Once the user base is large enough We'll be opening a full exchange, at which point we're likely to move the wallet over to it's own "Finances" area.

Can you add YAC?  Many people have boatloads of shares, this would get your game even more attention.  :)  And it would probably also increase the exchange rate too.

Junkcoin, Royalcoin, Powercoin, Novacoin, etc would all be awesome too.  But YAC please for sure.

Lets throw a few hashes towards GameCoin.

I'll throw a bit that way to move a few coins. This could be a lot of fun if we get more casino type games to use our GameCoins on.

Bytecoin's pretty slow right now ~67GH/s, give or take, and about 6 hours between block finds at the current diff. I've actually switched over to PPCoin because of it. If the diff factor could go down, or more peeps would jump on, it would be fine, but the difficulty went to 30,000 and then people jumped, causing it to stall out.

Had some fun, was up, was down, then down a little more using my gamecoins on maxbet. The site could really improve with some sounds and additional games to throw coins at.

Just some brief downtime while we put a little more memory into the server (these coin daemons run on a lot more than you might think)

It's nice to see GameCoin getting a little action.  I was a little skeptical that I'd see much of those coming through.

just a quick update guys, as a sort of bonus-promo thing, every spin now gives out 0.05 Gamecoin in addition to any payout.  Losing spins will also give this payout.
This will only last for a few days, just as a trial thing.  if it catches on we may keep it going.

I'm thinking we might add PWC, since that one's been mentioned a few times.

Because of the ridiculously slow transaction times, we're considering dropping FTC and CNC, possibly BTC as well because it consumes a LOT of server memory, and it seems people are playing a lot more with the alt-coins anyways.
Anyone else have more coin ideas?  Preferably networks with active hashrates so we can keep things moving!

We're an active node on the standard gamecoin port, address 192.227.159.54 or slots.won777.com.  if you add another node it'll hopefully speed things along a little.

Yeah, it took like 8+ hours for me to move some around last night.  I'm holding out hope that once the difficulty drops way down again miners will come back and it'll speed back up again.

Just an FYI, there will be intermittent downtime today as we move to a new service provider (ironically enough because of too much downtime)
Expect us back up and fully running later on tonight.  For the moment, deposits and withdrawals are still permitted, but will be temporarily disabled during the switchover to preserve wallet integrity.

The good news is we're moving to a beefy new server with plenty more storage and RAM, so we'll likely be adding a bunch of new coins.

In other news, We've also forked the gamecoin source and fixed errors that are plaguing some people with "out of sync" errors, we'll be posting links to the github repository and compiled binaries as they become available.

slots.won777.com is now alt-co.in (http://alt-co.in)

Why the change?
Well, look how pretty it is!

Actually, we're shifting our focus and increasing our scope.  we aren't going to be all about gambling, we're opening doors to features like an exchange and automated escrow service, with the aim to make alt-co.in the #1 place for people to manage their alt-coin portfolio.

Yeah, just a little leak I've been meaning to fix.  In the case of a full withdrawal, our system absorbs the tx fee (all coin daemons have thier tx fees left at the default to ensure consistent transaction speeds, and we charge no additional fee for deposit, withdrawal.)

Just remember we get the 0.02YAC back next time you deposit ;) (If you ever do, totally your call)

Alright guys, It's been a while, but here's a little update:

First are foremost, we've moved to a much meatier server, and performed all sorts of optimization on our code and internal processes.  For you guys, this translates to a faster, smoother experience sitewide.

We've shifted the coins we support a little, dropping some of the slower/riskier/less popular coins, and seeking to find a couple new up-and-comers.  IFC is a possibility if the blockchain stabilizes (I've been hearing about some issues, and it seems like a bit of a risk at the moment).  Currently supported coins on the Slots are GME, FTC, BQC, WDC, DGC.

Our automated escrow service is also still in operation, supporting a few coins that the slots do not Currently supported coins on the Escrow are GME, LTC, FTC, BQC, WDC, DGC, CNC.

Finally, in the next week or so, we'll be launching a crypto-accepting Minecraft server portal.  Members can play on premium Minecraft servers with coins straight out of their alt-co.in wallet.

The flagship of this entire project is a sort of Out-of-game Store, where players can buy and sell in-game items and commodities for crypto. That measn those diamonds you just dug up in-game are worth money.

We're hoping to add a whole new rush to the Minecraft gaming experience.  Turf wars over valuable mining land,  Contractors selling their architectural expertise, the possibilities are pretty broad and I'm exited to see how this all plays out (pardon the pun).

For now the plan is to initially launch the Server Portal with GME Support Only.  However, if people start voicing interest in the service and paying with another coin, the suggestions won't fall on deaf ears.

So, thoughts?  Suggestions?  A corny joke perhaps?
