There is no reason why that Gap in the number of years, combined with the fact that the girl is 14 years old, should lead to any confusion at all as to why they charge brought against the man. But in my country, it is even illegal to have sex with a 17-year old (unless the accused is also less than 18 years of age). Here accused was clearly above the age of 18, and she must be charged with statutory rape. |
