Title: So Poloniex is just hijacking users coins at will now?
Post by: nutildah on August 01, 2017, 01:56:12 AM
I filed a support ticket after not having a deposit go through after 3 patient days of waiting. They have still not credited me for a deposit made 40 DAYS AGO! Now they refuse to withdrawal my DOGE after opening another support ticket with them. This process should be automated. WTF are the admins doing over there since they closed the trollbox? Just jerking each other off all day? Because they certainly aren't working on customer tickets:

I'd like to hear about any similar experiences by others. Because this could signal the beginnings of an exit scam.

If a quarter of Polo's users suddenly decided to pull their BTC, the exchange would assuredly become insolvent and collapse.

Really? Are you sure? I've been using poloniex exchange almost more than 1year now but i never experienced that they run my money so if you experienced that they scam your money i think the reason is the hackers that's why they put a 2fa for your account to protect it from hackers and Poloniex exchange is user friendly but sometimes they're late to reply your ticket.

I have experience about  when used poloniex, when i was login be logout automaticly, it is bad for trading altcoins because we can not trade on there and i can not send the ticket to support too,  i don't understand what is wrong with them and we hope there are administrator of poloniex on here and fix their problem, by the way this topic more be good to move on service discussion section not on altcoins discussion.

i think poloniex.com have been hacked now trying to find liquidation from one to pay for anothers until they have enough fees or way out of it. or the IRS probably on their back right now. the rumor usually true with crypto. i would not touch poloniex.com with a 5 feet stick at this point, it is a dead whale.

May be we don't know some people are facing little minor problems may be. I hear many people complaining about their deposits and withdrawals but even I never faced any deposit and withdrawal problems with Poloniex.

Poloniex still own me my DSH, I have withdraw it before it delisted on poloniex. System gave transaction id, but always pending, cannot find it from block explorer.

I contacted poloniex support, they claimed wallet issue, dragging me month to month, I have fed up with them now...

I don't think it's a scam. But they should solve their problems...

Poloniex was not hijacking users coin because I'm a part time trader in Poloniex. I also encounter you problem sir and it takes 8 days to received my withdrawal. If you just watching on your history sir maybe it takes more time to complete. Just submit them a ticket then wait for a week or two weeks.

You are not the only one whose experiencing these problems but there are lot of users do suffer withdrawals and deposit issues too on which poloniex do really slow on responding on those issues which is somehow gives frustrations specially when you are an active trader.Ive experienced some withdrawal problems too but after 2 days it went through to my account the sad thing on here is that they didnt really respond on the tickets you send which do really suck when it comes to their service and knowing that they are one of the most popular exchange site.

At the moment poloneix has to be one of the worst exchanges, I wonder if funds there have been frozen by the feds because their performance as an exchange is very bad. Great volume and liquidity but I doubt their legitimacy, it is taking too long to get just a reply from them. DON'T leave your coins there.

Same sentiment. Something is wrong, they have not added any new coins in weeks. Last one was gnosis. They are unable to  respond to service requests, trollbox is down for over a month. It's like an imminent shutdown is coming.

It might be over and we should now stop using poloniex also , maybe they are trying to solve your issues but the support available is less. I had stopped using poloniex because even i faced a issue the site banning my ip and then unlocked it after 35 days. Switch to bittrex i have been using and faced zero issues till date

I used both poloniex and bittrex. Honestly I feel bittrex works better. I will try my best to avoid using poloniex unless coins are listed in poloniex only, or prices are better significantly, just deposit trade and withdraw. I have no confidence to put coins in poloniex wallet anymore.

Crypto "banks" are not like real banks. They should hold all the funds, and thus shouldn't collapse even if 100% of users withdrew everything.

I'm sure they are not insolvent... Looks like they just jacked everyone's BCH to pay the bills. It's listed everywhere else but there.

There is an attack by the United States against bitcoin. BTC-e was taken down. The US is taking everyone's coins to destabilize bitcoin confidence. Using the premise that I don't want my citizens using bitcoin, so I am going to take your bitcoins and sell them to private US investors.

Don't be fooled. As previous poster has said, all exchanges work on a balance. Even if everyone pulls out coins does not matter, as long as exchange is working.

World, leaders everyone Bitcoin needs your defending it. Stop this crime against humanity.

bitcoin withdraw is fine, but the other alt except ETH is in trouble. So many people lost fund from withdraw even the transaction status is complete, the txid is not valid in block explorer, looks like their wallet got problem.

I'm pretty certain Polo is on the verge of pulling an exit scam. I have hundreds of dollars worth of coins "Awaiting Approval" for withdrawal... for almost 2 weeks now.

Given that crypto is likely in a giant bubble right now, they might not have the funds to process all the withdraws that are taking place.

I really hope they are not hijacking users coins in Poloniex, I still have a dew coins left there and Im afraid to transfer it because I might not be able to transfer them like some users are complaining. It would be a waste of time and money on my end.

This is possible but hopefully they wont really do such thing there are already lots of complain from poloniex regarding withdrawal and even deposits on which we can really think off that they might already preparing for an exit scam and withdrawals i guess are piling up on huge amounts already same as you assume. Lets watch out for their next step.
