Indeed it could.BitcoinABC nodes are 2 blocks behind right now (478558 is the last common block, BTC nodes are at 478560 right now). According to the fork monitor the split has happened now. Not sure how long but could be several more hours. Some people are saying its going to be 2 days. The chain only has about 5% of the hashing power of the original. Bitcoin Cash still hasn't mined any blocks and the block time is going to take hours due to low hash rate so I don't think deposit/withdrawals will be enabled for a while.
