Title: PR agencies worldwide
Post by: darligo on August 01, 2017, 04:12:06 PM
Hi, everyone!
Are there any trustful PR agencies, who help to promote ICOs?
If you know any, I would be very grateful, if you post their contacts here.

Yes, there are a lot.
I am not related to any of the ones listed below, so I can't say for sure if they are trustful, but they look very professional:

Wachsman pr is working with the companies in this industry, like lisk, iconomi and dash. This is the first pr agency coming to my mind.

Though you will find hell of a lot of them if you search Google or Yahoo, I would like to suggest that you hire someone some group of experts from this forum itself as you can check their experience from their past works, but for any external websites you will have no option but to take the client testimonials they provide for granted, which can be just manipulated.

If you have a detailed roadmap or solid plans, you can post your requirement in the Service section and choose someone after checking their past experience and expertise.

Do discuss with them in details about what you want and speak to them like a silly person to understand how much of grasp they hold on the subjects.

This could also work as well. Just look for a trusted member who is very knowledgeable about ICO's promotion. I don't have any name but for sure once you post your requirements, a lot of members will contact you. Get the best among the rest. And to help you to have a successful ICO, you may want to read this: https://cointelegraph.com/explained/how-to-launch-a-successful-ico-explained

Here, I found a thread about a member who is doing a ICO promotion. But remember the account is still a newbie, so just be cautious. I'm not endorsing him as well. Goodluck.

I've never hired a PR company before but I have sought them out previously, although not for an ICO. And I have to say they were mostly very disappointing.

When I asked for a list of things that they would do for me, there was very very little that was of actual value. Things like writing a media release (go on freelancer, good writers are a dime a dozen), sending out the media release (you can do this yourself for free), social media strategy, etc (all of which a couple of hours on google and you will know just as much about that as they do)

I asked questions like. Do you have any relationships with journalists or bloggers or sites? Can you show me where you have had articles written about your clients and how many views did those articles get? Do you have your own audience (social media, mailing list)? What can you offer that is of value that I cannot find myself on Google? And the one that nobody can answer - How do I measure the success of your efforts? That is when they got really vague. I even had companies not respond to those questions at all.

These companies charge a lot of money. Do your research. Ask hard questions. Do not be afraid to say - I am dissatisfied with that answer. It's your money. You are the customer. Make them work for your business.

Good point, totally agree. You should ask for the links of pr materials and detailed kpis before shaking hands.
