You understand better that you "preferr" to get as collateral btctalk accounts from alt coins?
Nah,it's not that and we know it... You just want to "buy" one through your "lending" service,when a "borrower" defaults.
Just be honest man and admit it,it's too obvious. ;)

You are entitled to your opinion, but I prefer accounts as I know their value only goes up and altcoin prices are highly volatile.


I am much more understanding... accepting collateral which other lenders do not. At the same time, I am good at sniffing out the scams.

Yeah for sure he did, on the lending section signed messages, repayment addresses and such should be public.
Also if you really did lend him that amount, well then your money is gone, sorry to tell you that.
I don't see anyone coming back for account with negative trust, because it cannot join with most of campaigns so i would not say your lending service started on the  best kind of light.

Due to this being my first loan, the borrower was hesitant to give his account for just 0.1 BTC. You should think that maybe we discussed this in PMs and you don't know the whole story. ;)

Im sorry but i don't see the original owner coming back for the account. You should have more strict ruled about taking account as a collateral.

I do not mind if the borrower does not want it back, as the account is worth more than was loaned. (that is the point of collateral)

You realize that someone will flag that account red and the account will end up worthless? To me, this seems like either a sale or you been in control of the account this whole time but that’s my opinion about it anyway. Just better hope a DT doesn’t flag the account.

Not really. The account is already tagged by a DT member, which means that the account worth is really close to 0 because it cannot take part on signature campaigns (the legit ones that actually do not accept sold accounts to their campaigns). Also if the borrower does not pay the loan at all, then you are basically 0.1 on loss. I suggest that you only accept account as collateral that do not have red trust, no long period of inactivity. This can be considered as an account sale.
