Title: Radeon RX580
Post by: Erium on August 02, 2017, 12:37:42 AM
Hello all. Today I built two rigs:

Gigabyte GA-Z170X Motherboard
Windows 10
Five Sapphire Nitro+ RX580.

Both have same issue:

GPU0 5Mh/s
GPU1 22 Mh/s
GPU2 22 Mh/s
GPU3 22 Mh/s
GPU4 22 Mh/s

How can I put GPU0 at 22 Mh/s like others?
Is it possible to increase from 22 Mh/s to a better Mh/s?

Thank you all.

What are you mining? For ETH, you can go up to ~30 MHs if your cards are 8gb
For BTC / BCH , i have no clue :D

Can you specify which card is working on 5 MHs ? Maybe there's some problem with setup; wires, jacks, power etc.? Try changing that cards stuff with another one and lets see if it is about setup

Some rigs require a monitor to be plugged into GPU 0.  Or you can use one of these monitor spoof adapters like this:

from my experience monitor can only lower the hashrate. perhaps choose the onboard graphics on the bios to bypass the gpu monitor output

When I do not connect the monitor to one of RX cards, and its connected to onboard, i cannot see any heat/warmth information of cards. So i have to connect it to a RX card. I will try with a dummy adapter soon

Thank you all for your help. I just change the monitor to a GPU at a PCIe 2.0 x16 instead of PCI Express x1 and the five GPU are working at 22 Mh/s (110 Mh/s Total).
Any advice for a better performance? I don't want to overclock GPU. But maybe with other driver.
Now both rigs are using Driver 22.19.162.4. I prefer no to upgrade is performance will be the same.

Also I have other rig with 6 GTX1070 and is working at 27 Mh/s each (162 Mh/s Total). I don't know if this ones are better, or if it the CUDA that makes them work at 27 vs 22 Radeon.

Thanks again.

Drivers will mostly have little to no effect on your mining performance, If you want to get more mhs you'll have to either overclock your card or flash the bios, i recommend flashing a bios because it gives significantly better performance, sometimes with no overclock at all.

Check anorak's bioses here:
https://anorak.tech/c/downloads/sapphire
and see if your card with your memory type exists and try flashing.

Plug out you monitor cable and use teamviewer to connect into the rig.

first I'd shuffle the gpu's and see if the problem persist to rule out a GPU issue. Swap gpu0 for gpu1 and reboot..

If it persists..I've heard people noting slower hashrates with the gpu that's connected to the monitor, my rigs personally don't react as wildly as 5mh from 22mh.. but safe to try
>>boot into bios and enable on board graphics. I use 270 chipset mobo's but I'd imagine it will be under advanced settings > integrated graphics > switch it from 'PEG' to 'IGD' >save and exit.

When you reboot your rig plug the monitor directly into mobo. Hopefully that solves your issue.

Now the new issue is that rigs turn off after one hour mining with NanoPool.
Any advise for this power issue?
Also after update from Dirver 22.19.162.4 to 22.19.662.4 Claymore'w ETH no longer shows Temp and Fan data.

Thanks again all.

Hello Berque. I'm mining with Nanopool. Any advise to obtain better results? Also how can you rwach 30 Mh/s with this GPU?
Thank you.

Hi, monitor or teamwiwer takes hashrates from the gpu0
