Title: top three exchanges in India say they won't support Bitcoin Cash
Post by: Simple8.1 on August 02, 2017, 02:36:54 AM
Zebpay, Unocoin and Coinsecure. As well as stating that they have no plans to support Bitcoin Cash, all three will be suspending bitcoin services during the planned hard fork.

I am sure that their members are missing a good opportunity here to receive some free coins coming from Bitcoin Cash (BCH). We all want anything that is free and with this fork their members could have been rewarded some free coins bonanza. I believe that these exchanges are actually doing some disservice to their members.

My exchange is Bittrex and we already have our share of BCH in our accounts and I am thankful that Bittrex saw the need for them to support BCH because they are always thinking about the good of their members and they don't mind the needed technical changes to be made.

Now, I am sure that customers of these three exchanges are feeling like they are holding an empty bags.

Indians are highly dependant on these three exchanges. You can't blame them for not supporting Bitcoin Cash. Prior to the split they had made announcements that they wouldn't support BCH and asked users to withdraw funds before July 30. Maybe Coinsecure might add BCH option soon.

Our aim has been and always will be to best protect your funds. In the event of this User Activated Hard Fork, Coinsecure may or may not support BCC. We will consistently service the most used chain, even BCC, if it becomes the dominant coin. However we will allow you to enter an address on your account and withdraw the non dominant chain coins as well at a later time.

Rather than keeping your funds on these exchanges if you had moved your funds to a wallet then you will be able to trade BCH on one of these exchanges soon.

It doesn't really matter at this point. Any exchange that runs BCH is basically allowing trading of an altcoin that is very similar to bitcoin.

Atleast they are clear on what they support and that is good.

In third world nations such as India, the exchanges are mostly run by con men, having connections to powerful politicians and bureaucrats. Their thinking is very simple. They will give a few days notice to withdraw the BTC and say that they will not support BCH. 80% of the people will withdraw. 10% can't withdraw due to various reasons (such as travel). The rest 10% simply don't care about BCH or are not aware about it. In the end, the exchanges will steal coins from this 20%.

That means you are not a greedy person like those are want to get free money and dump the free bcc at the same time, i like that  8). But I think the Indian just focus on the security to keep the amount in safe place.
The price of bitcoin just up and down in the predictable direction. But electrum looks supporting the bitcoincash fork.
