Title: Bittrex has given users their BCC 1:1
Post by: haroldtee on August 02, 2017, 06:43:08 AM
I just checked my bittrex account this morning and noticed I have been given BCC at 1:1 of the BTC I had. Interesting!
Though the BCC wallet is still under maintenance on the website so I am not sure it can be exchanged yet but I guess they eventually kept to their promise. Any other exchange that has kept to theirs?

EDITED: It can be traded, but until the wallet maintenance is done, you cannot deposit or withdraw the BCC.

I do not have a bittrex account.  But you are telling me they show you have X amount of bitcoin cash in your account already?  So if you had bitcoin in bittrex as oppose to like an offline wallet like electrum, then you dont have to do anything to get your bitcoin cash?

there is only one topic in this board talking about Cex.io not giving the BCC amount their users were supposed to get. I don't have an account there to confirm this though.
but so far all the rest of the exchanges that promised to give, have already credited each user account with a 1:1 amount of BCC. and all of them that I have checked also have their markets ready and people have started selling their coins slowly as they wake up and see their balances.

interesting to see bittrex on top of the volume though. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-cash/#markets

Bitfinex is only giving 0.85 BCH per Bitcoin, so consider yourself lucky.

Good news. My friend asked me to put my small amount of bitcoins to bittrex but I actually didn't really trust them... But looks like they are trustworthy. I hope all other markets gonna take lessons from this.

The same thing happened to my account. I received a BCH the same amount of my Bitcoin. I love Bittrex. They are very generous to their members. Poor thing is that I only have few Bitcoin in my Bittrex account so I only got little BCH because most of my Bitcoin are invested on altcoins.

I would recommend trading it before the prices get dumped once the wallet is fixed by the bittrex team. Because then the community will likely dump it.

It seems great luck for you guys who have deposited your bitcoins in bittrex exchange.but try your best to sell it as soon as possible because most of BCC holders are getting ready to dump their coins to get some quick extra cash.I have kapt my bitcoins in my electrum wallet and so i have missed the chance of getting BCC.

Thats interesting. What is their reason behind giving less BCH? As far as I know it should be 1:1. Was that communicated to account holders prior to the fork?

This is so generous of Bittrex . Come to think of it, it is some sort of thank you gift for their account holders. Easily got free money and for the time being where BCH is still high, go exchange it asap.

The 0.15 is the percentage that Bittrex has decided to keep. I also heard that it should be 1:1. But they at least gave part of the money. I don't know how many exchanges and wallets agreed to support the Alta bitcoin, but coins left. I guess we will hear about such cases.

Still really contemplating on that. I can see a lot of people dumping but it seems the value keeps soaring. Don't know why yet but still trying to gather some info before doing so. Also, I am still contemplating between exchanging with BTC or USDT. Currently 1BCC is about 0.1899 BTC on bittrex. I really hope I play this card well ;D

Already Bittrex announced before Segwit only that they are going to give BCC coin to people who are holding BTC in their exchange at the rate 1:1.
Only a few exchanges announced before Segwit, there are many other exchanges not supporting BCC.

This is one of the best things BTC gives to its holders. For that we all need to support BTC to keep growing so as to penetrate the world market. Thanks for BTC

I haven't got BTC on Bitrex on fork moment. But had aome BTC on Yobit and already got BCH one day before fork. Npw we have to wait, when exchanges will enable BCH deposits/withdrawals.

It's very strange. All others who gave BCH, credit it on 1:1 rate. I think it's a bit unfair for Bitfinex users.

And which exchanges are legal and safe to use? I bet it's only few USA licensed exchanges like Coinbase.

People who has Btc in their bittrex account are lucky. For them to receive an amount of  BCH equal to BTC(1:1) they own.

I checked Poloniex(the exchange i am using) if they already added Bitcoin cash so i can invest into it but,it is not in there yet. I don't know why but it seems like they will not support Bitcoin cash (BCH).Anyhow, there are still exchange site where you can sell or buy bitcoin cash such as Kraken, bittrex and etc. Furthermore, BCC seems to have a great potential since it already in the top 3 of coinmarketcap.com and already reached 10 billion market cap with 600$ value.

You are incorrect.

Bittrex is based in the United States and has a global customer base that trades digital tokens. We closely adhere to SEC and CFTC related laws and regulation and we partner with top quality legal, compliance, government relations and regulatory professionals through our relationships with Perkins Coie, Delta Strategy Group and others. We also serve on the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Digital Commerce and meet with regulators and legislators to educate them about this exciting industry.

This means that not only are we a legit place to exchange coins, but we also follow all laws and have obtained the licenses required to operate legally.

Bittrex should have gained a lot from giving the deserved BCC to their users, it was the leading exchange after the fork in regards to BCC trading volume.
