Title: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: mikenz on August 02, 2017, 08:47:07 AM .. a step forward we waited for more than 2 years to see!
And what do brave bitcoiners do? They mourn about a new Altcoin. What a joke. And what do brave bitcoiners do? They mourn about a new Altcoin. What a joke. Yeah, this is so annoying.I think all the members here will forget about bitcoin cash after a few days. BCH is doing really well.I`m surprised about this.I was expecting a big failure which isn`t happening. Bcash is way more successfull compared with Bitcoin unlimited and the best thing is that bitcoin isn`t damaged by this fork. Title: Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: mikenz on August 02, 2017, 02:20:56 PM Yes. But there is no point measuring it as successful by the price right now since its transfers are really slow so sellers cannot come to the market.

Bitcoin Cash will crash absolutely, but not in a few days or around that day, because if you can see the market movement and comunity demand seems like it will exist for more than 2 months after that slowly gone. Bitcoin Cash 'successfull' not because technical network or something like that,it's 'successfull' because it's created based on a real cryptocurrency and we got it for free. .. a step forward we waited for more than 2 years to see! And what do brave bitcoiners do? They mourn about a new Altcoin. What a joke. yeah it has been more than 2 years, but nothing to lose for bitcoiner, even bitcoiner gain a profit from this joke. i just hope Bitcoin transaction back to normal and segwit activated and then 'HELLA FAST' Title: Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: amacar2 on August 02, 2017, 07:53:48 PM Yes. But there is no point measuring it as successful by the price right now since its transfers are really slow so sellers cannot come to the market. Bitcoin transactions are getting confirmation within few minutes without any issues and fees have dropped considerably even before segwit activation. Only bitcoincash is having problem with there network because of very few miners interested in mining those shitcoins. I am expecting a huge dump on BCH price when everybody will get chance to deposit their coins in exchange platforms. Title: Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: maeusi on August 02, 2017, 09:59:36 PM BCH seems already to be on its downturn. Lets look forward to the next free coins on next split in November. :)

Bcash is way more successfull compared with Bitcoin unlimited and the best thing is that bitcoin isn`t damaged by this fork. The BCH price did well today on what little liquidity was available. It's still way too early to say that BCH will be doing well. That we will see once the BCH network is fully functional and BCH can be effectively traded and arbitraged. Until then it's not much different from viaBTC's pre-hardfork futures trading. In general, I agree with OP. Bitcoiners should rejoice about the progress that's happening instead of bitching about their neighbours (that goes for both sides of the fork). But I understand all the focus on BCH. Haven't had that much fun watching crypto drama unfold for quite a while. Segwit is a good news for Bitcoin. Let's hope for the best and wait for another November drama Title: Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: botany on August 03, 2017, 01:29:13 AM BCH seems already to be on its downturn. Next split in November? What are you talking about? Next split in November? What are you talking about? Segwit+2mb was the deal, if the 2x part fails then Jihans will create another alt-coin. It will be shitshow for sure but he will not be making enough money to fund his Bitmain company with an altcoin :D Title: Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: pooya87 on August 03, 2017, 02:47:25 AM BCH seems already to be on its downturn. It will be shitshow for sure but he will not be making enough money to fund his Bitmain company with an altcoin :D the split that Jihan bitmain was talking about was this BCH split which they used to call UAHF! and since SegWit gained the majority support with the JGarzik proposal they changed their stance and said will continue supporting SegWit and if the 2x part didn't happen they will switch to BCH. so i don't think there will be another split, just hashrate leaving! And what do brave bitcoiners do? They mourn about a new Altcoin. I also am looking forward in an optimistic way because of Segwit - although my favourite scaling solution is not Lightning but the "Drivechain" mechanism (or, alternatively, extension blocks). But I think the continuously high price shows us that not many Bitcoiners are really "mourning" - aside from some forum drama queens ;) The buy pressure is high despite some big blockers dumping their BTC. And it looks like the big money is waiting to jump in (or already jumping in): In the German marketplace Bitcoin.de, for example, after BIP91 got locked in the amounts of the buy orders rose to record level. I expect that to happen again - at all exchanges - when the Segwit blocks are nearing the 95% threshold. Currently from what I'm seeing also, bcc and btc are still in a high number especially bcc that is still unstable. What i read was that Segwit will lock in at about august 10? Is that right? so I don't think there are yet many big blockers who are making trades in the market until it could be completed. And if so i think altcoins now also will make there move. And what do brave bitcoiners do? They mourn about a new Altcoin. What a joke. Well, it's about time isn't it. Honestly BCH was just free money, free altcoin. It really has a much to do with bitcoin than ethereum, monero, or litecoin. Treat it as an altcoin, get money out of it if you can, after all it's a free airdrop and everyone's entitled. It's been a long long 2 years... I'm just honestly thankful that something is done instead of nothing at all, and more and more postponing. When SW gets locked in, don't be surprised if the price of each BTC goes over $3000 each finally. I mean technically if you held bitcoin before the fork then the price of BTC + BCH is already over $3000, but still. Title: Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: GreenCoin22 on August 03, 2017, 09:58:40 AM yeah, if we know the result, why don't we agree to the hard frok in 2 year ago, just like ETH/ETC?

It's August 8 or 9. You can see a countdown here: xbt.eu (https://xbt.eu). Their exact estimation is: Quote from: xbt.eu Lock-in threshold expected at ≈Tue, 08 Aug 2017 19:11:58 GMT I don't think there are yet many big blockers who are making trades in the market until it could be completed. You could be right, maybe big blockers are waiting with the BTC dump until a higher price has been achieved because of the Segwit lock-in. That would be a "smart" move from them - it would mean that they are not trying to harm Bitcoin but to get maximal profit. Totally legit if you ask me. Title: Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: ThunderCatSteve on August 04, 2017, 08:19:24 AM .. a step forward we waited for more than 2 years to see! People can make everything joke if they cannot do something own. So I would like to say that you should need to learn and practice there idea as well because it would be more helpful to you because if they made an idea about new altcoin why you cannot make a new altcoin? Bitcoiners are too fastest people on the earth they know how to earn money. And what do brave bitcoiners do? They mourn about a new Altcoin. What a joke. Title: Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: Nivir on August 04, 2017, 09:22:14 AM Yes people do make a joke out of a coin that's new and most specially it came from bitcoin it was a split from bitcoin, of course those die hard bitcoiners would make a fuss about the coin.

No, this just is Progress at last of lock-in SegWit (BIP148) and is beginning the process active SegWit of Bitcoin System 100% until November 15th. You can check the schedule SegWit on Coindesk.Title: Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: el kaka22 on August 04, 2017, 08:19:01 PM .. a step forward we waited for more than 2 years to see! Title: Re: In about 8 days Bitcoin will finally lock in SegWit Post by: d5000 on August 05, 2017, 01:50:57 AM My theory about the current price upswing to $2800+:
The Bcash fork has passed and nothing dangerous has happened - we simply have a new altcoin now - and so traders and investors are again concentrating on the great event that lies before us: the Segwit activation. Confidence is coming back. I think we are now entering a kind of "buy the rumours" phase, because it is becoming so unlikely that BIP91 will be reversed that we practically "already have segwit (almost) for sure", although it is still not locked in. I expect a slow, but continuous price increase and a new attack to the ATH, maybe Monday or Tuesday, but even at the weekend it's possible ;) |
