Title: Really? 153 Degrees?
Post by: indicasteve on June 21, 2011, 03:07:04 PM
Lol...I'm running Linux with a nvidia 9800 getting max 24mh/s on kradminer web miner eating some popcorn and I bring up my nvidia utility and it shows my GPU running right in the red at 153 degrees Celsius.

How long you think my GPU will last?

Your tool is displaying in Fahrenheit. If it was at 153C the card would have already shut itself down to prevent damage or destroyed itself.

You're at 67C

On the bright side, when it gets cold, you won't have to turn on the heat  ;D

153C = machine on fire
153F = nothing to worry about
