Title: BCC transaction?
Post by: bikerleszno on August 03, 2017, 08:48:26 PM
Hello,

I sent my BCC from one exchange to second.
It was few hours ago. My transaction is still not confirmed.

How long should I wait for confirmations?

I don't think there is enough mining power to process the blocks which will keep transactions backlogged for a long time. https://cash.coin.dance/blocks The last block that was completed was 4 hours ago.

It's all fine. Your fee of 0.0005 per kb is too low to be confirmed in the first block. I have a transaction with a fee of 0.002 pending for over an hour. This network is just that slow with 1 block per hour on the average. Patience!  ;D

But do you think this situation will change with time? After all, if there are blocks like this we are slow, then once we can get a failure. And this will inevitably lead to loss.

It will take almost a week to adjust the network difficulty and start seeing faster transactions ,until then you have to wait a long time to get the transactions done, the team has already notified about the delay in the beginning and so i am waiting for that to be settled before making my move as i do not want to risk my coins.

Nobody is mining because the price is too low compared to difficulty. It's not worth it.
The sluggishness of this coin is probably the only reason why it's still trading relatively high on some exchanges. The coins are having trouble getting to their destination  ;)

Nobody can know that. The value would have to increase for people to start mining it and as a result decrease confirmation time.

So it will propably grow value if now it is not good to mine. I think it will be 1:1 with BTC or very close to that.

The difficulty could decrease too, but if the value stays at below 0.2BTC it's going to slowly lose popularity among users and miners and become even cheaper.
Good news for you OP, a new block has just been mined and your transaction was included. Mine too :)
