What happened to who's online, members and guests section? I miss it. Or maybe I have something set wrong in my profile?

I noticed this has gone too. I haven't changed any settings.

No, but seriously, those features were too CPU-intensive, and were removed.

I was more interested in the numbers of members and guests online, not so much who is.

Use binary search to find the page where the guests start. Count the number of entries before; that's the number of members. The number of entries after would be the number of guests.
