I know absolutely nothing about the origin of the account that I received, but I have been able to use the website and log in with the account that I was given. I was also able to use the app in their website in order to give my Apple TV access to HBO shows. I can confirm that all of the shows I have tried have worked perfectly and the account so far has remained active. OP also PMed me saying that if the account goes down before the end of the season he will be providing me with a replacement, so props to him for that.
