Title: Anything I can do to speed up my BCC confirmations?
Post by: Vagnavs on August 04, 2017, 10:39:36 PM
Hello,
as the title states. Is anything I can do to speed up my BCC confirmations? I'd be willing to pay if someone could assist me with getting it confirmed quicker..
Thanks for listening,
Brian

As far as I know that would be out of your hands unless you were connected with quite a few miners. Please take a second opinion on this though

Start a BCC node so you become one of the entities confirming the transactions. You may not be able to direct your own transaction to your node for confirmation but you'd be adding to the system and speed up confirmations for the entire blockchain.

Here's the link to download and run a Bitcoin Cash node: Bitcoin ABC (https://www.bitcoinabc.org/)

How long have you been waiting?

I've been waiting about 17 hours. If there is a miner out there that can assist me. Please hit me up. Thanks everyone for the replies! Such a great community

I don't have any free machines for nodes.

Quit the nonsense. Miners are the only entities having the ability to "speed up" transactions. Currently, BCC is very much struggling to push through blocks within a reasonable amount of time.

In the last 10 hours, only 5 blocks came through, which obviously is not very convincing and stimulating any use. From there it's safe to say that even miners can't do much in this regard.

People just need to remain patience (I know how rushed people are to dump their BCC) till the difficulty has adjusted itself to such a level, that blocks will come through far more often than is the case right now.

(as said above) You cant speed up confirmation without blocks. Legendary should know that.
(now i see the waves endorsement, says a lot)

1 block every 2h.
Better than the 1 block every 10h on the beginning ...

Start up your old 486 and do cpu mining. It would double the speed on the bcc network...

Seriously, the altcoin has no mining support. you will be lucky if you get your confirmations before Christmas.

Split it smaller. Send to viabtc or hitbtc only 2 confirmations with Bitcoin ABC client. 20 minutes till 8 hours.

Electrum Cash is frozen for years...

Also you can start to mine it :)

I've used viabtc which requires only 1 confirmation to start trading BCH. But you'll have to wait for 20 confirmations on your BCH deposit to withdraw (BTC for example).

All complain about the same thing with you. There's nothing you can do but wait. 8 hours of long time was a bad achievement for BCC. I think no one can fix this delay. Everyone throws BCC to get BTC.

this is way too wrong :)
a node is not changing anything about confirmation time, the confirmation time is based on how long it takes to mine a block. and since the difficulty is still high and the hashrate is still low (even though difficulty was reduced) finding blocks takes a long time.
running a node helps decentralize the network, helps you have access to full verification, and some more benefits.

As of now there is nothing that can be done it was totally unexpected but you should be happy that transactions are not taking more than 2 hours which is actually than what i expected , it was a known that a new coin would occur but it couldn't be pre mined or something so for now you should be happy with what speed you are getting over the course it will have speed like bitcoin or other alts.

Use the ViaBTC BCH accellerator.

I have used their Bitcoin transaction accelerator (and it works really fine, although it is a bit expensive). But this is the first time I am hearing about the Bitcoin Cash transaction accelerator from ViaBTC. Could you please provide me the URL?

Sorry I know for none, I was being sarcastic.
