Do you think this will happen after or before the smart contracts?

it will happen in next two months keep my words, i trust lite coin has a good and solid community, it is still under value now

Smart contracts in Litecoin system??? I don't think Litecoin need use platform from Ethereum for become to an altcoin can provide ICO token in next time, it should find new idea if not want duplicate idea.

They have blockexplore, so smart contracts are not dizzy for LTC, they can even become smart contracts, long coins that no one uses smart contract, smart contract is intended for projects that are not serious

But they are working on it! I do believe its a good technology..They are abusing it! But that doesn't mean deploy it or adding it to Litecoin will make it bad!
Would appreciate more inputs and opinion if I am wrong

Litecoin surprised me and I regret I didn't buy recently when it dropped bellow $40. If it does have a significant dip in the future, I'll probably buy in, but not right now.

Interesting post! Thanks for the link, but if we consider the amount of money that will be invested in next 6 months, including the drop of Ether and it will continue to drop! that money will have to move somewhere! Bitcoin is going to be expensive to trade for average guy!

 I am not saying lite coin is bad but lite coin is very slow pumping.I have seen no change for a long time.Minimum after 1years lite coin will be hit 100$ my personal opinion.

I think that is too long for a coin to hold. I think with the current price, somewhere along six months will be a good investment to see how long LTC price will go further. Its trading at $45, and its not even a 1% increased on its price. If I'm going to invest it in, I will just hold it for 6 months max then see how it goes, it the price is moving to what I expected then I will continue to hold but if not, then I have no choice but to sell.

100$ is nothing and can happen tomorrow, real pump will wait! 8)
Do not expect miracles this summer, we already had lot of excitements and i believe LTC will wait end of the year for new rally. Actually my expectation are much higher than OP's but this wont happend before LN is implemented.

What is the definition of "real pump"? For price to double now is already a fear, are you talking 10x for $400? That's higher than ETH and BCH. But you are correct. Summer is already belongs to others. Maybe in the quiet Christmas period, LTC will take the limelight.

But does litecoin really aims for higher prices? It feels like even the developers don't try to push it into higher prices. It works good as a steady calm coin. It's prices is almost always the same it then rises or falls but then remain at that price again for some time. Many people use it in times of market fluctuating to keep their money made from bitcoin or altcoins safe. It's been always in shadow of bitcoin but it has always been indeed the longest running altcoin. They will eventually get it to higher prices but don't look at the raises the way it happens with bitcoin when you get from 2000 to 3000 in a month. I would say, enjoy the peace of Litecoin.

lets see if it's true cause i dont think so. it might be pumped up but not that significantly. and if its does pumped up it would not last for a long time. yet still a good invest thought

Well, litecoin does have a nice and solid community but I'm not sure $100 will be achieved within two months. Even I am not sure, if litecoin keeps pumping its price will arrive at that value.

What do you mean about before the smart contract? Any news about that?

If litecoin will going to have smart contract, well that would be definitely an additional points, but copying concepts with other alts would be making them a copycat coin, and the interest will not become higher compare to others.

For litecoin to reach $100, i believe it will be after smart contract.
Although it is not a new idea, but the community support is solid. 

I think smart contract talks will speculate its price and it will rise around 80  even before. But not sure about what is going to happen after it. It is very great altcoin.

Litecoin might go down in short term. Think about the strong BTC and ETH. Not so much attention to Lite in short time.

I really doubt whether LTC will ever reach a market price of $100 per coin (that would mean a market cap of around $5.3 billion, which is more than the Bitcoin Cash market cap). We need a major miracle for LTC to reach that levels, and I don't think that it is going to happen anytime soon.

I did not see properly the first post about smart contracts. Sorry. About this, no, this will not really do anything to give Litecoin such a boost. Smart contract is not "new". Ethereum is most known for it but Bitcoin can theoretically use it.

Litecoin is Bitcoin's guinea pig, so yes, of course smart contracts will help, but we know it is for Bitcoin.

i don't know, but Litecoin is very very boring and static.
