Title: The MtGox Account Recovery Time Formula Post by: Gabriel Beal on June 21, 2011, 05:00:11 PM If they are doing a manual verification process then this is going to take a long time.
Accounts * AvgTimeToVerify (in seconds) / NumOfEmployees So, my guess is 60,000 * 60 / 5 = 72,000s to completion (8.33 full days of work). Of course I'm just guessing on the last two numbers. Anyone else have better information? Title: Re: The MtGox Account Recovery Time Formula Post by: jimrandomh on June 21, 2011, 05:06:32 PM I'm pretty sure that if only one person tries to claim an account, and it had a strong password, then it'll be handled automatically. Most of the accounts will fall in this category. There will probably be a small number of disputed accounts, though, and those will take a lot longer to sort out.

Yeah, what percentage of 60k accounts are active right now?
