According to news.bitcoin.com bitcoin has surpassed $3000, will it stop there or keep going up?? what do you think??

Of course it will go up. This all have been waiting for. Let me remind you that in June, the price was already approaching $ 3,000, but after the panic gained momentum, the price has dropped. The whales will begin to sell the purchased coins and it will raise the price. Then she stabiliziruemost on a real level.

i agree! i think in 2 months we will see 5k...

Segwit will lock in in ~600 blocks. I suppose the price will increase further then and even more once it activates.
Then a correction will most likely follow, but I suspect we won't go below $3000 at that point.
It's not impossible for it to dip below $3000 these days though (before Segwit).

Its is true, bitcoin has already surpassed $3000 and we have now a new ATH. No one can really predict the movement of the price, but this is a indication that after the feared Aug 1, people are now going back to bitcoin and selling their BCH for BTC. Again, we don't know what's gonna happen in the future, bitcoin seeing bitcoin breaking $3000 is a good sign that the future is looking good. I just hope that we can really sustained this momentum and not see any negative news that will slow down the phase. Just keep on holding and we might see the price climb higher in the next coming weeks of months.

there might be a good chance to drop, but in the end it will indeed go well beyond 3000.

I think it will make a huge jump after segwit gets activated, due to way better scalability.

Of course it will jump over the "current value" and then drop again to lets say first it goes up to 4000$, but then it drops again to 3800$.

Yes, very happy to see the climb above the $3000 ceiling.  I wonder if the climb of BTC and the crash BCH will dissuade other hard forks?  Or did those behind the hard fork take their BCH and move it to BTC anyway?

I just wake up and saw the price at almost $3200. It really made me smile and remember how we are still in the beggining of the chart, and in a few years we will see this chart again and remember how 3k was once the ATH. Also makes me happy for never giving up on Bitcoin, since the day I found a thread about it and the price was at $300.

I wouldn't be very getting used to it because the output of the market you now see, is just a temporal response for the market settling in after the all coming "hard fork". This situation may change in November. By then, the price may seek a new All Time High.

Bitcoin was set to increase after the BCC fork event and so is happening. I think it will increase and might reach $4500 by November before 2x Hardfork with some fluctuations. After fork there might be a fall but we will definitely see $5000 by the end of the year. Bitcoin is in its growing phase. There was a stagnation in July because of FUD and speculations. That is least to happen again before November.

Anybody who has been following the series of events unfolding over a period of time, knows that it just a matter of time before the $3000 mark will be surpassed couple with the fact that i t went as far as $2900+ few hours to August 1. I guess what we are witnessing is the dividends of August 1 at this time. Whether it stay there or move forward is another discussion because the bitcoin I know, something big of a challenge is coming in the few days but this is a testimony that we can still surpass them as well.

I think it will goes up higher  and higher before the year ends. And i believe also in bitcoin. We all hopes that bitcoin might help us to provide our needs. And we believe that it will be bigger than ever and it will becomes good at its value. We all want to have a big money from it so we hope that we could get that one.

bitcoin has touched $ 3000, it is a success for bitcoin digital currency as popular. I think the bitcoin price will keep going up. But for now bitcoin will decrease for a moment. And back up. So for those of you who do not have bitcoin immediately buy bitcoin. Do not let you miss.

I sold some of my bitcoins today morning when i saw the price above 3000$. Its a big achievement for all the bitcoiners. Bitcoin will surely move up more and it will touch 4k$ similarly as it touched 3k.

Yeah I think it would continue hope that it could rise up to $4,000 soon.
Maybe this is just the beginning of the pump of the price  I hope we could see it to touch above $4,000 before the year ends.

And I think the price of Bitcoin Cash can increasing after Bitcoin original when the price of Bitcoin original reach to your target, maybe a half price is possible because the whales will not skip the opportunity for compate SegWit Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash have 8 MB blocksize.

yes it was a big jump for everyone especially for some people who hold their bitcoin since that time, I admit they have great faith in bitcoin

It will survive and then it will continue to be pumped as it has now touched in $3300, maybe this will be heading for a value of $4000 and it looks like it is the next target even though we never know for sure when it will touch $4000.

With the Bitcoin Cash weight out of our shoulders, we can now aim for a clear $4000 horizon. August will be extremely bullish, September will be a year of consolidating the price.

October is the key month now. It all comes down to the NYA participants. If they want to go and crash the price with an unnecessary hardfork, let them be responsible for that and see what happens. The community will not be happy when the price crashes coming from ATH.

I think bitcoin price continue to increase because many people as of now buying bitcoin and I think next weeks the possible price of bitcoin become 3500-4000 dollars and I hope it will happen so we can make a lot of profit .

3500-5000$ is the one I've keep looking for now and since bcc is going down i'm sure that those millions invested with it will go to btc and thats why we can see some great price pump unto the bitcoins for now, and people will regret if they will sell for this early pump since their are great more huge pump will come to it and surely whales would want to buy more to gain more from bitcoins thrends right now.

The price is now residing at around $3200 and it seems like that it's just going to stay there for a while now.

It's been crazy, really. One day $2800 and the next $3100, and now another hundred dollars up from that.

From what i can tell i don't think this thing is over yet. A large part of why bitcoin has risen is BCC crashing, and BCC is still quite overvalued IMO at $200 apiece. When BCC crashes to say, $50, then bitcoin would have no issues going up to $3350.

Plus, Segwit has not even been activated yet. When it gets activated the bull trend is simply going to gain even more traction and probably go up even further, until it either becomes a bubble or readjusts.

And bitcoin price seems decline a little bit to $3200, some people in rush to get profits obviously.
But, I won't sell any coin yet as bitcoin suppose to reach higher price after segwit lock-in. BIP141 activates if 95% of hash power within about two weeks signals readiness before November 15th, it has reached 1516 blocks and 400 blocks remaining to reach 95%.
I guess, segwit will be activated in few days later, then bitcoin price will on rally again run after $4000.

I think, bitcoin will not be separated from fluctuations, because this is already part of this digital currency, today maybe the price will rise but tomorrow will go down or even the opposite happens. The important thing is your decision to know when you should sell your bitcoin and when you should hold it.

Well, thanks to it bitcoin finally touch or even surpass the $3000 per bitcoin. And I think bitcoin will continue to rise hence you ought to buy noe until its still early because you will never saw it as like before. Its is recommended only if you are holding for a long time

Considering the fact that the price of Bitcoin depends on the demand for it compared to the total supply available in the market, it is no doubt that Bitcoin will continue to go up. Bitcoin will not stop at 3000, not at 5000,or even 10,000. As long as the people demand for it, its price will continue to grow. Bitcoin's way forward is up.

Your sounds are full of greediness, but there's a possibility to reach $10000 however I think this is not the time. Maybe it takes a decade before it happen. Even bitcoin is high demand in the market don't forget that there's a lot of competitors too.

This makes me really happy and glad because of the bitcoin has value pricing until finally the number $3000 which we all await the bitcoin returns with news of the best news of all time once in a while we have a sense of bewilderment and dismay. I expect the bitcoin will continue to evolve until the future becomes good and worth ever ;)

But bitcoin prices have increased before the BCC down, honestly from the first I heard the news that bitcoin cash will appear, I already know that if the price of bcc down will make bitcoin prices rise.

I think it will still keep on increasing but not instantly, more of a slow rise most likely. But we still have to check and see for a couple more days if this because of the segwit on August 8 that will be fully locked in.

The price is really soaring, I'm seeing $3400-$3500 on some exchanges already. 319 blocks before current lock-in period ends. Still 219 blocks needed for a lock-in. Lock-in threshold expected at ≈Tue, 08 Aug 2017 20:11:11 GMT. Only a few blocks needed to be fully locked it. I hope that we can make it just in time on Tuesday. Otherwise we will have to wait again.


Bitcoin is really picking up steam after the hard fork. It's hard what to speculate now, maybe the Segwit thingy is really on the minds of all investor that we can lock it in that is why the influx of money is unprecedented. And they are seeing a positive outlook for the next couple of months. Maybe $4000-$7000 will become a reality before the end of the year.

I was surprise when I see the value of bitcoin today it almost reach to $3500 and I think it will continue to rise... we only hope that it could reach $3000 but it's really a blessing for everyone that it increase this high and the good thing is that it can possibly reach $4000 before the month end..i guess investors are really happy now..I wish I had invest more money before this day to happen

I think bitcoin will continue to move further and further anymore and nobody can disturb it, I will see until tomorrow whether bitcoin will still survive this high value, because to reach $4000 in the near future, it will become a new history on bitcoin.

I would not be surprised to see the Bitcoin value falling again in October/November, the same way we saw it in July loosing over 1000$ in some hours and then coming back to what it was. If the same situation happens again, it will mean we will have the value at 2000$. To be honest, I  won't be surprised to see a 500$ correction in the next following days

This is very profitable for all of us. Unexpected prices, especially after the occurrence of the incident on the 1st of August. Many do not expect that the increase will be this high, bitcoin prices increased by almost 500 $ in a short time. Whereas there is an issue that bitcoin cash will disrupt the bitcoin price movement, and those holding bitcoins are certainly very lucky. They can sell the current bitcoins for a high price and also earn money from the sale of bitcoincash.

Maybe next time if Bitcoin still increasing as past days, I think a big withdrawals crypto to FIAT will happening is possible and make the marketcap of crypto decreasing fast, but I can't predict exactly when this worse situation happening.

I'm not seeing  any possibility of big dump in coming days as everyone is ready to believe into bitcoin like it will be having huge price levels like $5000 and then $10k. So, there  will be very less level of chances from bitcoin community to dump in coming days. When bitcoin prices are increasing the adoption rate also increases which means the power goes to more people hence  in coming days dumps are not at all possible.

Ya good so.If the value of bitcoin reached 3351$.It is like the bitcoin price at the moon .I am waiting for long to this to happen so.Once this was achieved many start to inverse on bitcoin and end the result the price of bitcoin increased further .If this continue means,soon the Investors became rich.

For me it's expected one.Now it's 3351 $.Tomorrow it will reach the value of 3500$.Its not very far away.It's in the hand of bitcoin Investors and mining people.Now the price of bitcoin will reduce only if it's not accepted by the moments and Investors stop to inverse on bitcoin.

The pruce of bitcoin as of now is already 3400 dollars and i think it will reach tomorrow the price of 3500 dollars. I hipe it will increase more like 4000 dollars before end of this month and the price of 5000 dollars before end of this year. Many people for sure continue to bhy bitcoin so the price continue to increase aslo and thats good to us becausewe can make a lot of profit if bitcoin continue to increase.

Hi all today at now the bitcoin rate was around near by $4,070 usd and I think the price of Bitcoin will continue to increase, we must hold it for a long time and in the end of this month absolutly  its reach above the $  5000 usd and above its sure and any one can say no to this one. Because day by day its value increase only.its a fact only

Yeah and its good to see that bitcoin is moving in an upward direction since long time and now we should hold our coins till it reaches to $5k mark as it would be an ideal price to sell bitcoins and grab huge profits and now I don't think bitcoin will fall back to $3000 price in coming days and even if it falls it won't go below $3500 level.

Too early to say that bitcoin prices will drop to 3000 USD. Currently the bitcoin price is at the 4000 USD rate. Bitcoin prices have indeed decreased but this is not a reaction that needs to be overstated. Bitcoin prices are still fairly normal and we all definitely want there is another price increase. Buy bitcoin at the moment and we will get a profit margin when the price has reached 4500 USD.
