I would like to announce that the Quantum Resistant Ledger (QRL) has our launch window: mid-Q1 2018!

The QRL will be the first decentralized cryptocurrency which is implemented from the outset to be resistant to both classical and quantum computing attack. It uses a different system of cryptography to bitcoin (and all other altcoins) known as XMSS, which is a hash-based digital signature scheme, and therefore provably quantum-resistant.  The ledger will be the first to use quantum-resistant signatures on a blockchain, which provides an ultra secure store of value in the event of a sudden advance in quantum computing (rendering bitcoin, ethereum etc vulnerable to attack). The initial aim of the project is to establish a functional and secure blockchain on which more technology can be built, such as the Ephemeral post-quantum secure data channels.

The project has grown significantly over the course of 2017, led by myself, a core dev team, ancillary devs and a post-quantum cryptographer. We have added to that a marketing manager and small communications team.

We will ship with the following featureset in Q1 2018.
 
1. multi-platform qrlcore node release.
2. 100% PQ-secure address space for the QRL (XMSS)
3. cryptonight POW algorithm, 1 minute block-time interval, ability to mine in existing pools, using existing mining software.
4. ephemeral messaging layer capability (PQ-secure end-end data channel functionality utilising Kyber and Dilithium).
5. completely separated wallet and node functionality with all wallet-based requests passing through the node by our universal grpc api.
6. Use of slave XMSS tree signing capability to allow secure mining (and later in the year staking) keeping private keys offline.
7. GUI-based webwallet and full block explorer functionality
8. PQ-token capability out of the box — creating tokens on the QRL chain is now functional.
9. PQ-secure data stamping functionality out of the box.

The QRL is currently trading as an ERC20 token on bittrex, upbit and liqui.

Genesis Block = 65M coins.
Final distribution in 200 years is 105M (exponential decay in emission).
Blocktime will initially be 60s.

No minimum staking limit. Secure offline staking via deferred stake signatures. .

Looking forward to this TestNet and follow on MainNet launch in a couple months.  Great time to pick up some cheap QRL right now too, now that the BTC-BCC fork is complete and bitcoin has risen sharply. 

I am also very interested to see a PoS coin that has "secure offline staking via deferred stake signatures" as this would give a Quantum Resistant coin maximum security.

What? Have you been living under a rock, this project has been out for a couple of months now with one of the highest volumes on Bittrex. Join their Slack channel to get more specifications. It raised all it's money with little info here on Bitcointalk.  ;)

So who is still in? Did they kick one of the 3 devs/founders out or not?

All founders are still there, the one retard was kicked for being a rat and nothing else. Just a guy hired to do paper job.

This is accurate.  The dev team hired a social media manager 1 month prior to the pre-sale, and the guy wanted to be a "founder" and control over 30% of the QRL budget, and be paid over $6k a month as well as a huge QRL percentage - all beyond his original agreement.  The dev team tried to compromise with him, but after he didn't get all his demands met he went full FUD mode and caused concern among investors.  The guy was in charge of slack moderation, twitter updates, and blog posts.  The real work is obviously in the code, programming, and vision.  The paper boy was easily replaced.

The best way to handle greed like this is to simply carry on and produce exactly what we all expected in the first place - a quantum resistant ledger with MainNet launch in late SEP / early OCT that meets all expectations.  The GitHub is plentiful, and TestNet is live.  The FUD was a gift for those who wanted to get in cheaper before MainNet, as nothing has changed in regards to the progress or roadmap. 

I've been on the slack of those guys for weeks and I have to say a few stuffs:

• Aside from QRL learned a lot of stuff there, very interesting people and discussions
• Great team, always replying to questions and comments
• Testnet is going well, a lot of people is helping the dev team debugging

Don't confuse QRL and Qtum. Two different projects. Qtum market cap is 600m, QRL is way cheaper (yet).

Project is very much under the radar right now. No marketing. Join alpha testers and see the progress yourself mainnet is coming! Very exciting stuff!

It's trading on Bittrex and Liqui. Expect a lot more exchanges once mainnet goes live.

So a link to a 16-17 qbit computer that is slower than traditional supercomputers is proof of what?

You're wrong, this is an anti-quantum project, it's not a quantum project, it's trading on BITTREX.You read it carefully, and if you think it's good, you can buy it.

I'm not too sure what you're on about. You seem be thinking that the team is building a quantum computer. They're actually building a blockchain which will be RESISTANT to quantum computers. They don't have anything to do with actually building a quantum computer. They have a really smart team working on this project, and even have one of only a few post-quantum cryptographers that are out there.

I'm really glad I got into this project early and can't wait to see where it'll be in 6-12 months. Community on Slack channel is really great, with devs online and posting all the time. Something you don't always see in crypto projects.

Question on QRL: I see that both founders (linkedin) have been working for NHS for years, completely not related to technology at all.
I'm not saying people could not have the ability to manage more than one skill - but given quantum computing is something so advanced, I would expect at least 1 founder to have some deep backgroun in computing science??    ???
