Can someone give me some tips on how to study smart? I have an upcoming test this october and i need to pass that test but i dont know how to study and memorize many topics and lessons. Thanks in advance!

Hey, you don't need to literally memorize them all. What you need is, practice.
Practice in every word problems (I'm referring for math and science), and understand well the concept/theory.
Relax, don't pressure yourself too much. :)
Too much time investing in studying can improve your skills,
Solve problems every day just to exercise your brain. Also, sleep atleast 6-8 hours and always eat breakfast!
And don't forget to concentrate. When you're concentrated for a certain goal, give your best and trust me it'll work.

Never escape from the parts where you're the weakest. Try to focus on them as well. This will help you increase your point.

Learn where your lack of exams and reading exercises ;)

Break it down into sections. ie *important people *vocab *dates make flash card sections like these individual stacks. study each stack for a half hour (studies have shown after a half hour minds begin to wander and dont retain info as well) take a 5-10 min break eat a healthy snack. peppermint and water while you are studying will help keep you awake and keep the room a little on the chillier side. Remember you dont have to remember everything all at once. after you feel confident with that section have someone quiz you. Take out what you know really well and then study what you dont. This is how I studied for my ACT and all of my OGT's and I passed all of them the first time with flying colors. I wish you luck!

Read the book, the book is the window of the world, besides reading the book can also add vocabulary so that will become more understand the various problems of the world.

Easy you have to study hard and diligently read so that your knowledge increases.

Check out spaced repetition software for helping you memorize things. Anki is a good program to start with, you can create your own flashcards or use other people's.

When I was still in school, I would save studying for harder subjects in the morning when my brain is fully refreshed and alert. Caffeine can help as well.

hello there. you don't need to memorized all the lines or paragraph just Discover your learning style/technique , review and revise, sometimes you need to take a break.

for me it really helps to listen to some chill instrumental music while learning :)
also a skedule (like 1 hour a day or more) at specific times workes really well

Sometimes teachers like to include the same class exercises, so study them.

You probably would not accept this advice but my tip is that you should not study if you dont want it (or even not sure). Better give up now then force yourself to study and after  some years realize that you don't need it. So for me the best way to pass the exam is to belive that  the subject is intereting for me and i will need it. Then preparetions gona be easy.

I have the same peoblem as yours,  but the things that i do to passed the exam is read and analyse everything that your teacher saying,  and always prepared yourself if there is a surprise quizes,  make yourself ready tp answer them. Just always and read and not memorise them.

Have a good nap time and don't study if you are hungry, it's a basic for doing great.

Thanks to some test, you can calculate the number of aykes in a person. I did not apply this test on myself and therefore I do not know how real it is and how clever I am. But for today it seems to me that what I have in my head is enough for my life. Although every person is trying to learn and develop. Therefore, I do not stand still.

Yeah, you don't need to memorize, all you have to do is to understand the topic, and do not think that you have to remember everything, all you need to do is to remember those important information only.

I Want to add my suggestions, in addition to being diligent, trying, and others like above, you also have to have regular time, study time, play time, and time off.
You are learning continuously will make you tired and your mood decreased
If you are tired of rest, and if your mood decreases try some time you play, like doing your hobby

These study habits works for me:
If you are studying at night then becomes sleepy already what you have to do is "SLEEP" do not force your self to study more, your brain will have a hard time absorving all that you are reading when you are sleepy...
For me i wake at 3 am and study at that time...
Where everything is quite it keeps me calm...
I also like to study outside or near an open window to have a fresh air everytime i breath...
And i also have some finger foods on the ready like peanuts...

Try to create connections between what you're studying and what you already know and ideally enjoy.

It also helps to imagine yourself explaining the subject matter to somebody else in various ways. (Ask yourself a lot of different questions and try to answer them in different ways.)

practice main main points, and formulas,

later check how much we are perfect in that subject.

for reading early morning is best.

Study and practice. Once you have studied a lesson try yourself by taking a test or quiz on that particular topic. Also, if you feel sleepy while studying go on and sleep after finishing a topic or a material. Why? Because your brain is trying to rearrange and store the information in your brain and that is the cause of your sleepiness.

Just stay focused use adderall if you have to stay away from partys and woman they only distractions from true purpose.

Have a good physical and mental balance.
Eat well
Sport
Rest

Dont study the last day fornthe exam. That day is for re-reading and chilling only.

Brother relax,  please take out tension of exam.  Make up your mind to sit for studying seriously.Have Study planner  or time table  till your exam, strictly follow it.Have all the study material with you. Study with full attention. It is also advised  follow and get it done of previous 5 years question papers. Remember topic contents again and again as a revision. can make short notes or foot notes for refresh the knowledge.

read early in the morning, one's mind is fresh and crystal clear. Just stay focused and motivated, develop this habit  over a period of time and you'll be surprised.

While not always appropriate, mnemonics can be great for memorizing lists and sequences.

To this day I remember things from school where I used a mnemonic such as the reactivity table in chemistry, the geological ages, or written japanese.

They help us create connections, and the more absurd the story the better.

Well, in my case, I give full attention during class discussions so I can understand well the topic matter. I also do advance readings on some of my subjects, especially my major subjects. Days before my examination, I don't stress myself on reviewing, I rest my mind for a while before scanning my notes. I also listen to upbeat music, coz it helps the mind to be active and upbeat music tends to make you pick up words faster. I also eat nuts while reading my notes, well, nuts is food for the brain. I also sleep at least 7-8 hours before doing my reviews. It also help to exercise before reviewing, coz it awakens your mind, body and estimulate the blood flow in your brain.

Effective learning is that you understand the concept instead of memorizing it, studying at 3-5 am because at that time the brain is still fresh and easy to digest the incoming material.

One thing always keep in mind that never mug up the concepts always understand and never studies for more than 1 hour continuously.

I learned that repetition is the key. Just re-learn and understand everything as much as possible, no need to memorize every single thing.

Notecards help. If you write down what you have to memorize, you can memorize it better since your brain will remember what you wrote.

Pay attention to details. If you learn to pay attentions to details while you study, later in your life it will be a huge advantage and will help you succeed in your business.

i used khan academy for alot of my college learning since i can listen to it 4-5 time before i understand what he is trying to say.

plan which one we want to read first, next underline main, main points in that concepts.

For me I suggest you need to eat vegetables and fruits in order to get all the knowledge you would like to attain because fruits and vegetables has anti oxidants and make your brain smart. In addition you need exercise so that the oxygen in your brain will easily connects.

Facts: if you are not using the knowledge you have learnt you will forget 90% of it in the first 6 months.

Try to capture the essence of what you need. If not then just learn.

Avoid guessing the answer. You only need to analyze the question. Having a common sense is also necessary to pass the test and praying is more important that you can pass it.

You should study in your productive time. Set a schedule or time when you need to study. All your gadgets should keep away while you are studying, you need to focus. Also my suggestion while you are studying is drinking coffee. It can help you to be more alive and awake.

The trick is to speed up your learning process. It's never too late for you who just now want to learn because age is not the limit for someone to be smart.

For me, how to study smart is to take notes while your teacher is discussing. Or if it is a different test, study the keywords and take note of that, if you're not familiar with what you are studying watch it on youtube, or khan academy. Always analyse and understand what you are reading make sure to clarify all what you are learning so when the test begin you'll never forget it.

Try to write the key word and sumarize it while reviewing the lessons .
You can easily memorize it while learning in easy way.

Since your test is over. i can give you a long-time study plan. Try do be as organize as possible by noting every thing you know in different text files. It will force you to make gap between knowledges. ::)

I always found having classical music playing in the background while I studied to be most helpful.  It drowned out everything else, and really helped me focus. 

somehow it was helpful but on my side, it was so distracting since I love classical music and when the music is playing while I'm studying I can't focus. :( (but maybe it will be helpful to many people)

To study smart you must not forget about rest. Feel tired - go to sleep, and when you get up your brains will be rested either.

Try to focus in your study and every days lessons review so you can have any idea on that question  . read many books and always research .

That's the point right! You have to push yourself for your weak parts. There are many differend methods for study, search and find yours.

Im not smart person but i know the technique on how to be smart first reading read your lesson twice mark all the important topic that will be possible the question in your examination 2nd memorize the topic that you will read 3rd listdown the important thing 4th make a quetion 5th answer those question and correct it if wrong just do it 3times or up until you perfect

Just focus and concentrate :-) I prefer visual learning because I can faster memorize. Some people speak 4-5 & more languager what is amazing for me but for me study more languages I can confusing :-)

Easy! Take a subject, then break it to pieces. Take every piece and place it in a time frame. Then study them one by one. Once you actually master every piece then give yourself a reward. Always remember your goal and motive yourself

Make sure you can understand the whole concept.

For me the process of studying is not the process of stupidly learning the stuff. I always try to understand the thing and not to learn it. Once you understand how everything works you're capable of having an answer to almost everything concerning the topic. Read some more literature on that topic to have a more vast understanding. It'll take some time, but as a result you'll become a teacher yourself!

I learnt from my former classmates that they used to eat food like chocolates because It boost your mind. But my suggestion is, study before the test not the exactly before one day and make sure that you understand the concept so that you will not get confused on every side of a certain topic. Lastly, if you are really having hard time then maybe you should focus on the key words so that it will make you easy to remember them. I've suggested it because I works on me, I hope it will work on  you too.

Having beautiful notes and a perfectly highlighted textbook doesn’t matter if you don’t understand the information in it. Your only goal is to understand the information so it will stick with you for assignments, tests and life. Don’t be afraid to get messy when scrawling out ideas on paper and connecting them in your head. Use notes and books as a medium for learning rather than an end result.

As a pragmatic person, I studied a lot of how to get better in studying, to get more efficient. A one hour lesson I can warmly recommend anybody is "study less, study smart" from Marty Lobdell. He is a Psychology Professor and gives a lot of very good advice on this topic. To be smart I think must do study hard, because if not by learning there is no other way to be smart

How to study smart is first you got have dreams and plans and then get motivated. Your dreams are enough to kick your ass to go and study hard in order for your dreams to be achieved.

Working hard as much as you can is the best tip. Nobody can become the best if they are not working hard at all.

Choose the subject that you are interested in and focusing on it. With joy, i think you will do the best at it.

Eliminating all distractions. Go to a place with no computers,  phones, tv, etc.

I agree and avoid the things that might distract specially the technologies or gadgets.

Something that you understand the basics like why this thing become like this etc will make easier when to apply to your study. Unfortunately, for this to happen you must understand the basis which is from the very beginning you must understand the concept. Maybe today already late but if you want to study smart, just understand the basic and you good to go

To study smart you should be very persistent and avoid making the same mistakes.
