Should i invest now or wait for an opportunity for price to go down? :-\

So it is all up to you. If you feel that Bitcoin will go down (in price) any time sooner, then wait a bit more before going in, but if you think that the price will continue to go up, the go all in now. The best thing to do is to study the market first and gather information about the future events for Bitcoin. That way, you can have a firm foundation in decider whether to go in or not. So my suggestion for you is that you should buy bitcoin whenever you can because in long term bitcoin price will be over $10k or even more.

If bitcoin considered too expensive, maybe altcoin could be an alternative in investing cryptocurrency. Probably you are getting worried because of a sudden crash and it looks like it will occur after a few days, if you don't want to take the risk then wait until the price has quitely dropped .

The term crash is greatly being exaggerated in this forum. Nowadays with the price being at all time high levels, fluctuations of $200-$300 will become more regular than they have ever been. It may look like a lot, but in current situation the price going down with $300, translates into a decrease of less than 10%. I don't even look at 10% as being a correction. Correction from my point of view is a decrease of around 20%, where a crash needs to be a decrease of at least 30%. 10% fluctuations are perfectly normal given the price and tense market circumstances. Maybe your 2k$ can be worth 4k$ at the end of the year think about it Exactly there is a full possibility that bitcoin will achieve the price of $5000 in this year so even if you invest some money in bitcoins now then you will be getting positive results out of it if you save it till the end of the year so even if price is high now you can take risk of investing in it. With regards to long term goals of an investments that would be a great opportunity for everyone to wait and enjoy the profit in the future as it eventually grows as you've been patiently waiting. We may be on the edge of a huge drop from the 38th floor to the 20th floor, or we may also go up in value and reach the 50th floor. There is a lot of speculation now and it is similar to last time when we went up a huge amount and then that became the norm and everyone forgot about the pesky triple digit days. But for short term, there are many risks that the price will drop sharply. The 2MB fork planned on November 18th by the Segwit2X roadmap, and it is full of uncertainty. We don't know how it will happen, if the bitcoin "legacy" could survive, we don't even know which will be the "true" bitcoin after this fork. I think they must have to wait until the price will go down then start buying as many as they could because the price now is green(high). I don't know if bitcoin will going to drop its price by the next month because bitcoin price is continuing to rise their price after that August 2 event.But for short term, there are many risks that the price will drop sharply. The 2MB fork planned on November 18th by the Segwit2X roadmap, and it is full of uncertainty. We don't know how it will happen, if the bitcoin "legacy" could survive, we don't even know which will be the "true" bitcoin after this fork. If we look at how things are in the short term, then it's clear that there is definitely some up wards potential, but in the same way the market might also fall down. Regarding why people haven't invested in Bitcoin already -- its either them not having had free to invest capital, or they panic sold at losses and kept waiting for the price to go down more, which obviously hasn't been the case.
