Rules
Loopring Token (aka Loopring Coin or LRC) is a ERC20-compatible token issued using our smart contract (The smart contract) on Ethereum.

The smart contract will issue LRC immediately after receiving ETH payment to the sourcing address. DO NOT withdraw ETH from exhanges directly to the smart contract. You may lose part of all your LRC, for which we shall not be held responsible nor provide any technical support. LRC has no vesting period.

The remaining unsold token allocation will be issued within one week after token sale using the same smart contract. A detailed layout based on different fundraising scenarios can be found in below. Loopring development team believes that a capped fundraiser will promote a widespread distribution of the tokens, a necessary prerequisite to launching a robust network.
Token Sale Distribution Ends in 30 days, Hardcap is 120,000 ETH, Softcap is 50,000ETH; All the tokens will be refunded within one week (minus some gas cost) if the project fail, the last transaction may cause the final sale slightly over 120,000 ETH.

The fundraiser will last for a period of 152500 blocks (about 30 days). Throughout this period, a contribution of one ether will lead to an allocation of five-thousand LRC plus a time dependent bonus. This bonus is meant to incentivize contributors not ot delay their participation. The bonus starts at 20%, meaning that a contribution of 1 LRC yield an allocation of 5000*(1+20%)=6000 LRC and decrease progressively to 0% over 10 periods(20%, 16%, 14%, 12%, 10%, 8%, 6%, 4%, 2%, 0%).

60000~70000 ETH (inc.) 35% LRC will be sold through Token Sale
70000~80000 ETH (inc.) 37.5% LRC will be sold through Token Sale
80000~90000 ETH(inc.) 40% LRC will be sold through Token Sale
90000~100000 ETH(inc.) 42.5% LRC will be sold through Token Sale
100000~110000 ETH(inc.) 45% LRC will be sold through Token Sale
110000~120000 ETH(inc.) 47.5% LRC will be sold through Token Sale
12000 to above 50% LRC will be sold through Token Sale

The Loopring Foundation will manage the contributions according to its purpose. Initially, the Foundation will budget for 4 years. The Foundation will have the discretion to pay for service it believes will benefit the promotion of the Loopting protocol, either in tokens or another currency. The remaining 40% unsold tokens will be distributed to the team will vest in a period of 4 years. Additionally, 60% rest will pay for research, legal service, business development,communications and marketing.

When implemented on other public blockchain(eg, EOS, Qtum), alt-LRC tokens will also be issued proportionally to the addresses that participated in this original Token Sale - as long as the singing algorithm is also ECDSA (with 5% fee); otherwise, Loopring foundation reserves the right to issue alt-LRC tokens on other blockchain in a different way.

i think is very dificult can get investor

I did my own research and read the white paper.  It's a tough read but once i was able to digest it, i found a lot of positives and no real negatives. 

Find it's technically comparable to 0x project after a little bit reading at their website, even though the announcement here is really bad and it's not as popular as 0x so far.

The project looks serious. Is there Neo behind it? It didn't open up to Global but it receives a lot from Chinese investors I think. The developers look qualified. I think I'm goint to follow it.  ::)

Yeah, there're two famous backers: NEO and QTUM,  another backer ChainFunder invested some of well-known ICOs, including ETH, NEO, IOTA, ARDOR, EOS,RiPPLE, FACTOM , Tezos..

They easily collected good amount of money. And those backers look pretty good.

We can see EtherDelta has added LRC already, this isn't official but a good news.

The price for the start is not really cheap, even someone who invested 11 days ago may already be worth as much as 20% on the spot.But my suggestion is definitely to wait until you get to a stock exchange.Maybe for urgent needs, but if you do not need the money in it, definitely do not sell at these prices 
.I do not even get the risk that I get for this as it makes a good profit compared to the price of ethereum. So I decided to wait a little more on my own.I hope this process is harmless for everyone.

The ICO way over valued the coin in its current state. I love the idea but I wouldn't invest at $200 million+ market cap...I don't regard Binance as a 'legit' exchange for a coin that valuable.

It was a project that I came across as a chance.I guess i was really lucky day. when they were on the forums, people talked about  loopring and  they told me loopring is a really good projects and that the chinese would slowly dominate exchange markets and total value.I think I believed them and I was involved in the project towards the end of the project.now i speak myself and i say i wish i could invest more  . recently it was rare projects that can gather the required investment and enter the exchange and increase its value very soon. It is no scam. Every Project is called scam in the begining. Da Hongfei and loopring are working together very close. Tomorrow there will be an Announcment from the NEO Team (Look at Da Honfei's Twitter). They are going to announce their partnership with loopring!

The Website is really not an issue. Neo's Website was awful before the rebranding. Even after the rebranding from Antshares to NEO their Website was full of grammar mistakes and is as of today still super slow. Technology comes first in China. Don't expect fancy marketing or huge communication. Even though that would really help to increase the trust and also the price. Different culture, different approach.

I remember when ARK was at 6 cents and everyone called it a scam and/or a copy of LISK. Now that it has reached 2$ everyone claims it is the new ethereum. It is really hard to invest in a coin that is in his early stages when everyone is afraid. With that being said, don't invest money you need and do your own research.

Would be good news if this tokens goes to bittrex and other western exchanges, the token is not a security so there is nothing in the way.

This project has a lot of great people behind it. Barring any disastrous news from the Chinese government, this coin should do well.

It's too bad that Binance is no longer going to trade LRC. I'm holding mine in my ether wallet as well. I have tremendous faith in LRC and I see a bright future ahead for it. In my opinion, China will reverse its stance before the end of the year. When that happens, LRC is going to the moon!!!!  :D

When you do a little DD you see a big conection with NEO, all the big people from NEO are in LRC are working close with LRC.
LRC is like they say "" THE SLEEPING GIANT "".  I buy all I can.

When NEO announce  that they work together with LRC, then LRC will go balastic imo. Next year LRC will be at around 20-30$ . Just my opinion based on my DD.
They will also go to Bittrex anytime now this year, alone that news will put the price way more up.
Imo we see 0.50-0.60 before year end.

I hope to buy all between 0.20 and 0.30. So I hope it stay at this price/level for a few days so I can buy more.

Very good article and interesting, i'm seriously thinking investing in this, perhaps a few ETH's in binance.

Amazing article and project indeed.
But it just annoys when people are calling it "THE SLEEPING GIANT" or "A hidden Gem" or whatever. If we're all talking like that, its not hidden anymore.

I looked at an interview on youtube with the crypto lark and a founder of loopring, did not get me turned on. Loopring is ERC20 only and not multichain/crosschain or whatever. The NEO connection? Just not there, they talk to each other and are friends and exchange ideas, thats it.

20-30$!?!?!? I love your enthusiasm but for LRC to be even 20$ it would have to be over a 5 trillion dollar market cap which is in the top 10 list. All coins in the top 10 list are running on their own blockchain and aren't ERC 20 tokens. The only ERC 20 token near top 10 is EOS at the moment and they are holding at 1 trillion. So 20$ a coin next year??? I don't know, I don't think so. I'm not fudding - I love the project but I think realistically it would cap around 5-10$ if anything , I may be wrong though - and if I am I commend you, I'm just cynical.


I agree on that for the fact that there are so many shills at the moment, so I understand your skepticism. Although, There definitely is a ton of potential for LRC but it's incredibly overestimated at the moment.

Loopring going straight up when looking at the charts. I wonder where we will see LRC in 2018. I guess $1 should be an easy to achieve target. Staking system is also pretty cool, should drive the price more because of less LRC in circulation.

Bittrex is located within the U.S. which means they really need to analyze every project on their exchange. Who knows, You may see LRC on Bittrex or you may not.

OKex has already listed LRC, its up. been up.

Pay attention to the github commits and the community, you'll see that this project is much more than a "moon" coin, it may be likely to stay in the top 50 beginning next year. If you can't hold it, sell it. I'm sure many of us in the community would love the discounted price.

Also, it is crypto, so still a little bit of a lottery - but with more possibility for success  ;).

I'm sure once LRC gets picked up in Asia that the price will correct itself - into an upward movement.

Loopring Protocol had been deployed on Qtum mainnet.

A week ago we rolled out our 2018 R&D roadmap. Based on the roadmap, we also had an engineering and a marketing kickoff meeting to bring everyone on the same page. We have strong confidence that Loopring’s core technologies will be ready for adoption during the year of 2018.

We have confirmed that three engineers are coming onboard full-time. One of them is a senior engineer working on Alipay’s core database systems. He is now working on the protocol development and deployment on NEO. Another engineer is a backend architect from meituan.com, he is very solid in high performance system and experienced in developing exchange and match-engine. Last but not least, Chen Wong will join us as a mobile app developer to work on Loopr’s mobile version.

Wallet
We’ll only fix bugs and add small extra features to Loopr beta1 (available at https://loopring.io). This is because we will soon start developing beta2 from scratch, which is actively being designed.

Relay
The biggest change in design is to apply consortium blockchain technology to current relay infrastructure. We need to make sure future miners can have access to as many orders as possible. Onchain and Hyperledger’s consortium blockchain technologies will be evaluated and explored in the coming months.

Looping.js
This library is in a major refactoring. The goal is to make the integration with Loopring really easy for wallet developers without writing a lot of boilerplate code. The current plan is to extract 1) a core library to provide fundamental functionalities, and 2) a more advanced library to encapsulate business logics common to most wallets. In Loopr beta1, the sell and buy actions both have over 500 lines of JavaScript code and many of them are very similar; this is true for other operations including Transfer, Approve, Convert，and Cancel operation. This will not be the case in beta2 if we can use the new loopring.js library.

The initial focus of this collaboration will involve researching and testing more robust Loopring relay infrastructures. The first step of this will include benchmarking the current IPFS based relay implementation used by Loopring. Yeah, Loopring popped up pretty high in the top 100 coins. I remember posting in this thread a long time ago but I forgot about the ICO. I regret that so much now, not only because of the profit I could've had but also because I really stand behind the idea. Decentralization is the way to go for the future of crypto trading. Too many hacks, downtime, high fees and the risk of not owning your own wallet with normal exchanges.

Main exchange is Binance now. And Loopring is being traded there. Of course it's good to be listed on every good exchange.

Loopring Bi-Weekly Update — 03/02/2018

In this update we will share our progress on our wallet UI/UX design, and protocol v1.1 development. Please note that this report only covers 5 work days because of the Lunar Chinese New Year.

Protocol
We have implemented Dual Authoring, our solution to front-running. The code has been merged into the master branch. We have also accomplished several optimizations, including 1) updating public the protocol’s interface to minimize the data footprint in Ethereum transactions, 2) introducing an internal struct RingParams to clean up internal application logic, 3) optimizing the calculation of a ring-hash. The master branch is now ready to branch out into a new v1.1 branch for deployment. The v1.1 release still doesn’t incentivize wallets, but all the methods and parameters are defined and will be compatible for a future v1.2 release which is due in April. V1.2 will pay wallets 20–25% of the mining fee.

We have also made some progress on our LRN smart contract on NEO, and we are currently busy with the airdrop smart contract. We have also reached an agreement with OnChain to have them review and audit our smart contract code.

Hey guys, so I was reading a bit about binding my ETH address that has my LRC in it to receive the airdrops, and I read that medium article that says in april a wallet will come out and it will be much easier and they airdrops don't start until may. Background & Objectives
We recently released a new Loopring whitepaper in English. This whitepaper is much easier to read than the origin one but still very technical, as it is supposed to be.

We want to incentivize open-source community to translate it into the following language: Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, German, Vietnamese, French, Korean, and Italian.

100,000 LRN and 100,000 LRQ are prepared to incentivize volunteers. As of the last round of private token sale, the price of LRN and LRQ are1.0 USD and 0.45USD respectively.

The Deliverables
The whitepaper has been maintained in this github repository. The whitepaper PDF file was compiled from two source files: 1) en_whitepaper.tex and 2) whitepaper.bib, where en_whitepaper.tex is the main LaTex file and the only one you need to translate, while whitepaper.bib is the bibliography file that contains all publications we cited.

If you don’t know LaTex, here is a Word document for the whitepaper. Feel free to work with your favorite editor, when it’s ready , copy and paste your work into a Google doc — name it as “xx_whitepaper_your_name” — make sure anyone who have its URL has access for comment. Please put your team’s contact information in the doc so other contributors can reach you. When your Google doc is ready, share it with Daniel Wang for review. In case you are the sole contributor, Daniel will tweet your translation for community review. If you don’t work with LaTex, no need to translate the diagrams.

If you do know how to use LaTex we assume you know git too. Please feel free to clone the repository and make a copy of en_whitepaper.tex and rename it to xx_whitepaper.tex where xx represents the language, then you can edit the file directly and track changes with git. When your pull request is ready, Daniel will also tweet it if you are the sole contributor so people can review the generated PDF file — please make sure your source files compile.

Before starting the translation, email Daniel Wang and cc all your team members, we can use that same email thread for communication.

Rewards
For each language, we have prepared 100,000 LRN and 100,000 LRQ for all contributors. We strongly encourage you to join a team to collaborate. Eventually we will only select and reward the single best work.
We will send tokens to the team lead, and he/she will be responsible for distribute tokens among team members.
If the final deliverable are github pull requests with translated diagrams, and the final PDF can be generated correctly, we will reward 100,000 LRN and 100,000 LRQ to the team; if the final deliverable are github pull requests without translated diagrams, we will reward 90% of the bounty reward; if the final deliverable is a Google doc, we will reward 75% of the bounty reward. Depending on the quality of the translation, additional discount may also apply.

These bounties are valid until May 15th 2018. Please make sure you submit your work before the deadline.

I would spend some time to read whitepaper as just now saw it was published already. After reaching at this price which is approximately 90% down than all time highs of few months ago. This is something new and can be game changer seeing the line Loopring is going to take regarding wallets. I found it very interesting piece of writing that felt need to read it twice from start. Just wanted to update that I have received my Loopring token from the airdrop. I don't understand why there is nobody from the team active in this thread. There are so many comments and active followers. Some projects would give a lot of money for such an ann thread with an active community. If there will be any interaction with the team this thread could be a good entry point for many investors. There are still many people who use BTT when evaluating already running projects or ICOs.

I hope Loopring will reach $ 1 soon, all investors certainly hope for the best from LRC, I'm sure when the market recovers, the LRC can easily reach $ 1 this year.

This isn't standard to judge the popularity and success of any project to count the number of pages here. We can see lot of projects which have nothing to deliver and not even active but pages increase is going on there. Future of this project is dependent on the dex if that succeeds to bring users in large number price will start increasing gradually.

I don't trust any cex. But atm It's the only place to buy LRN at good price.
With no relevant liquidity at loopr and other dex the prices are not competitive.
This will improve over time of course. We have to be patient.

Today I got few Loopring tokens sent to my ETH wallet and want to ask the community what is this?

I see that the name is changed to LoopringCoin V2 but I assume this is still this same project because links in Etherscan.io show this thread in profiles.

I haven't followed this project for a while and I would be grateful if someone would summarize me the last half year.

Worth waiting for what will happen after the market looks good like now, I still hold LRC and hope the price can return to reach $ 0.35 when I bought about a year ago.

But getting back to at least $0.1 is still a long way to go for this token. - Loopring protocol fees come from transaction volume (economic activities) on Loopring Layer-2 (L2) and are also distributed on L2.

- The initial protocol fee parameter will be set to 20% of the L2 transaction fee. With the current relayer settings, this means 2 bps (0.02%) for AMM swaps,
   between 0.8 bps to 4.6 bps (0.008% to 0.046%) for orderbook trades, and $0.01 for transfers.

- Protocol fees are paid to 3 types of participants: a) liquidity providers, b) insurers, c) Loopring DAO, in an 80/10/10 proportion, respectively.

- Protocol fees accrued in tokens other than LRC and ETH will be sold on L2 for LRC and/or ETH; all protocol fees are distributed in LRC and/or ETH.

- Protocol fees will be paid on a monthly basis.

- Changes to parameters in the future will go through a forthcoming Loopring DAO.

This is one of the first DEXs out there, but curious here, since deploying your DEX, have you reached your target trading volume? To be honest, I am not very familiar with this DEX. Do you really have low gas fees as compared to UNI and other top DEXs? But the limited trading pair may be one of the hindrances that traders are utilizing this exchange.
