Title: The best exchange?
Post by: Tgrace87 on August 06, 2017, 03:54:27 PM
Where is the best place to but bitcoin? I've read some bad reviews about coinbase and from what I understand you can't use coincheck if you live in the United states?

Bitfinex
Coinbase
LocalBitcoins
cex.io

I use coinbase, but it's a PIA in that you get capped @ $100 per week, unless you want to submit identification docs. With that being said, I've never had any issues with them. I only trade Ether though, so maybe people who use it for Bitcoin would have a different opinion. I know they caught a bit of flak over their handling of the Bitcoin Fork, and not supporting Bitcoin Cash, but if I read their email correctly, they've reneged on that stance.

Hello guy,
https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/ is a good site which measure performance of cryptocurrencies. You can find on it more information about prices, volume, exchanges as well. I think this is the easiest way to find information related to exchanges that you want :)

Sorry - perhaps I misunderstood the question - I thought you were seeking a place to purchase Bitcoin.

If you're looking for market info, I use poloniex as my exchange when I'm on my desktop, but when on mobile I use https://coinmarketcap.com for SIA Coin, and I use https://ethereumprice.org/ for ETH.

Really depends on what you want. I can't purchase coins via Poloniex, but I can convert. Coinbase allows you to purchase Bitcoin or Ether w a CC.

I've been using CoinBase for about a year now and never have run into any problems. The fees are high, but I think you will find that anywhere you go. CoinBase for online wallet and fiat currency exchange, and Bittrex for trading. Been rock solid for me.

I'll add that I just confirmed my ID, and that bumped up my weekly limit a decent chunk. Enough to at least satisfy my needs. Their fees suck, but I think that that's a universal PIA.

Hi,

Can anyone recommend how to use Bittrex,  I have been using Changelly to purchase XEM, XRP and few other coins but there rates are no good and was told to use Bittrex.

Have created a fully Verified account but I don't see any option to add funds?  Maybe if someone can explain I am based in Scotland, UK and can I pay via Bank Transfer or Debit Card?

Thanks

Hi,

We currently only support wire transfers of $10,000 or greater for the purchase of BTC, USDT, or ETH.  We are actively working to add full USD markets and the ability to deposit/withdrawal USD without needing to perform a wire.

If you are interested in a wire please visit our support site https://support.bittrex.com and click "Submit a request" You can then choose the wire transfer form and we will send you the instructions for your wire.

You can also find some information on how to use the site on that webpage as well.

Thanks,

Ryan @ Bittrex
