Title: How does Bitcoin looks like?
Post by: Shikaina on August 06, 2017, 08:31:19 PM
Hi!! A am brand new here. I know bitcoin is a virtual currency , but has anyone already portrayed an imaginary design of Bitcoins? How does should it look like if ever? Like in the games in the internet that i see. The coin incentives or prizes looks like gold. Others have designs too and. If it would be a physical money, should it look like gold?

I am pretty sure the design is already quite concrete.
It is a small "B" symbol with a vertical strike-through, like this: BTC
There are additionally other designs which are all quite similar.
The general colors associated with Bitcoin are Gold and Orange.
In short, I doubt it will be redesigned anytime soon. :P

Have you checked out the collectibles board here on BCT,

I can't really say what the nature of Bitcoin is or looks, but with different pictures I have come across in the internet, Bitcoin will be round in shape, with a "B" sign and two "||" vertically on the "B" sign, and more designs.

The truth is I don't want bitcoin to have it's own physical coin I mean what will happen to it's decentralization right?

But you are just asking a portrait, a imaginative layout of the "might be" physical coin. I think it will be having a good look if it looks like a gold portraying it's value or price. In terms of it's design, I think I want the sign of Bitcoin and besides it the name of it's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.

Maybe with the new look bitcoin will bring better future, which surely sibolnya "B". Which is definitely a golden image, no matter what the design is definitely the "B".

Actually I dont like how it was portrayed like this BTC.
It is like a bitcoin that is somehow connected with the USD because of the two vertical line.
It aint that original at all. Maybe there are some good images that could be provided but if it will be changed it might make users confused.

The design is already present here, it is just a letter "B" desgined as BTC. If you are talking about the physical design then yes it is just like a golden coin with written BTC on it, you have seen on the internet too if you have searched about bitcoin. Check this http://www.cringely.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/bitcoin-logo-3d.jpg (http://www.cringely.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/bitcoin-logo-3d.jpg)

You'll see this design a lot. It's the first physical coin that has a private key embedded in the hologram on one side, thus "loading" the coin with actual bitcoin. They're called Casascius coins. There have been numerous versions of physical bitcoins or crypto coins made since and they trade as collectibles (see the collectible digital goods board on this forum where people sell them).

The media uses images of Casascius bitcoins often when talking about bitcoin.

Bitcoin is can say virtual money, for my physical form also do not know. I've seen in an online shop that sells physical bitcoin, but only physical form and does not apply to buying and selling, just for decoration on the table or in the office, shaped like a coin, golden, and there is a letter B

As portrayed above, I also believe that is also the designs. I think maybe at the back your address would be encrypted or maybe the logo or whatsoever about your wallet, and you will make it as a souvenir or if you would like it you will keep it as a necklace or what you wanted for it to be done, It is just my own opinion and idea on how BTC-coin can be or would be.

I don't see any sense in this question because if you are trying to imagine the look of bitcoin when it become an offline item then i can say that it will be just like the physical bitcoins souvenir that you can see from different site like amazon which they have seller that sell items like that.

Well, bitcoin can be described as gold but not real and directly to use, bitcoin is as money too but only with internet connection to manage it or process it. Bitcoin is very valuable as well like as real money that can be spent on this and that. It just takes the internet to cash it, and so far bitcoin has been proven to benefit many people close to bitcoin.

Yes this design is already known for many bitcoin users. I have heard that there was a try of realease of this golden coins with the full Bitcoin's price. But I am not sure does it was successful and does anyone have it on hands.

Talking in actual physical form of bitcoin we can able to see bitcoin coins in the market which are being sold by some bitcoin users here on this forum. Its just a coin with a big letter "B" on it symbolizing bitcoin but talking about its value its just lesser compared on the actual price of bitcoin. We do know bitcoin is a digital currency and it doesnt have a general physical form which can be traded or to make transactions with.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency or also known as virtual currency and it doesn't need any hard form to identify it.
Bitcoin is meant for online use like trading, investing, etc. If we started using its hard form of currency then it will be impossible to use it any more in trading, investing, etc

Well bitcoin is meant to be that way a form of transaction only through the internet, but you can surely store it in physical coins with the Capital Letter B on it or something that has a bitcoin name and a barcode or a letter and number code on it, and I think there are no significant value or what so ever if you own something like this, and I think it is for some geek that are a bitcoin enthusiast that wants to collect many kinds of physical coins, and some coins really are an eye catcher,

Yes, design exists and for a while there were some initiatives of some users that bitcoins hould be in physical form also. But that doesnt make much sense to me because bitcoin is digital cryptocurrency and that is its main purpose. Imagining how the bitcoin should look like is one thing but let's keep just as a design there is no need for actualy having physical bitcoin.

People have been creative with their Bitcoin designs these past years and i have seen some nice designs too but if we ever wanted some physical coins maybe one with some sort of QR code and bitcoin ticker colours would fancy my liking

If it would be a physical money, should it look like gold?
Most people have always referred bitcoin to be digital gold which definitely gives it that gold like look but it can be anything we need people thinking outside the box to make the designs standout

As bitcoin name contain “coin” so you can imagine that I they exist in physical form then definitely it exist in small coins like gold coins, and yes as we see that prices are so high then it must be made of gold if they exist.

We do not need bitcoins to have a physical form in fact one of the great advantages of bitcoin is that is formless, you can hold hundreds of coins in an USB that looks exactly like any other USB, no one will be suspicious about anything, this is a great advantage that bitcoin has over gold and over cash and I do not like the idea of even imagining a physical bitcoin.

Yes, here is something for you to read, if you want to know more about Casascius coins < Just remember that the coins has little value, and the real value is in the bitcoins that are linked to those coins > https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Casascius_physical_bitcoins

It is just a physical representation < collectors item > and not the actual bitcoins. The actual bitcoins is a digital token on the Blockchain. ^smile^

You can create a coin from wood and link $1 000 000 worth of bitcoins to it, with a piece of paper and the real value will be the piece of paper with the Bitcoin address and the Private key. Without that information, the wooden coins is worthless.

The pictures of bitcoin has already been shared but i would like to remind you these coins cost a lot if the coin has 1 bitcoin written on it it will sell for more than 2 bitcoin. These coins are just collectibles even if you buy a 1 bitcoin coin the only way to get it's value is by selling it to someone else

Since it's a virtual currency, it doesn't look like much. The shorthand BTC is accepted in the community, but XBT is the ISO 4217 standard. The fancy looking BTC is accepted as the currency symbol. There's no official image of bitcoin, the most official you can get is XBT since it's set by the ISO 4217 standard.

Perhaps he was asking for the physical Bitcoins. There are quite a few of them floating around. The first one was probably the Casascius coins. Later a few others came in to existence, such as Titan coins and Cryptmint.

If you try to picture an idea of Bitcoin, it is something like a coin that has a capital letter B in it. However, it is just an idea. It is just a representation of a Bitcoin but not the look of the Bitcoin itself. The actual look of Bitcoin is just the numbers and the btc currency acronym itself. This is because it is a digital currency and not meant to be felt or touched like a physical money.

In short example look of Bitcoins is just like this below and has no actual physical coin available.
0.002 btc
0.014 btc
0.00008 btc

It is just a representation of a Bitcoin but not the look of the Bitcoin itself. The actual look of Bitcoin is just the numbers and the btc currency acronym itself. This is because it is a digital currency and not meant to be felt or touched like a physical money.

In short example look of Bitcoins is just like this below and has no actual physical coin available.
0.002 btc
0.014 btc
0.00008 btc
Bitcoins is in silicon chips so it has no physical form. BTC is attached after numbers to show that it is an amount in bitcoins. It is a crypto or you can say a digital currency. Anything that is inside the computers is ultimately just a form of electrical pulses. So if you want to convert it into real world, it would be current of specific ampere and I am sure nobody wants to taste that. :p Correct me if I am wrong.

Bitcoin's design should look like so impressive. there will be a symbol "B" with a vertical strip look like BTC. it will so nice..I think everyone will want this.because it is a only symbol which is mixed witheveryones dreamy bitcoin.and it's color shoul be gold & orange.thank you.
The purpose of a design of a logo is not to be impressive is to be recognizable and to be original, for example you cannot create a currency that looks too much like the US dollar or you could get in trouble, luckily for us the symbol and the colors of bitcoin make it very recognizable, it is a clean and clear design that anyone that can recognize.

I think bitcoin is also described as gold. It can be used to buy some food and utensils. It is very valuable because its value is quite high and many people want it.

I will support what kind of bitcoin looks like now, I think it looks like a physical bitcoin souvenir that you can see from various sites like amazon Which, that's what my prediction about bitcoin looks like.
I will also support what kind of bitcoin looks like and I think bitcoin is like a golden coin with a high price in the market. In addition to that, no one know what is real picture of bitcoin but some bitcoin users says that it' like a coin that has a logo of  "B" that means bitcoin. Lastly, I will still love and use bitcoin what ever it's look like.
I will also do the same. I think bitcoin is like a life saver for everybody because it saves us monetarily. Bitcoin is a source of income that can provide basic needs because in can change into a real cash. Using it through wallet transaction is the smartest way to send out money to families if needed urgently like it's an emergency matter.
yes that is right but i think bitcoin is the life saver for those people who do not have any day job and they are even have big family to support, bitcoin is in fact providing good opportunities to such people to make money and even to support their families in a best way.

Here the basic point is bitcoin is not a physical coin but completely its virtual currency. Basically designed for digital use. So there is no question arise, how bitcoin look like physically.Of course there are lot of logos of bitcoin  existing every where on the net.

Technically there is only one symbol of Bitcoin which is BTC

However, one can design Bitcoin banner, post or design as per his choice. The best Bitcoin design I ever saw is the notes along with the coins which make it look like a treasure and easy to move thing.

We can even gift such paper wallets to someone instead of sending him in digital format.

Exactly that was how bitcoin look like. It was like gold when it comes to color and when it comes to its symbol. Its like a dollar sign but the difference between the two was its letter. Its look was very attractive because its shines esespecially when its hit by the sun or any kind of light.

Bitcoin is a basically Virtual currency, but it looks like better than gold or any other precious tools because of its high price. Bitcoin is becoming a profitable platform for buying and selling. it also can be used for the purpose of saving and investment. day by day it's getting accepted whole across the world. for me, It's more than a currency.
I think Bitcoin will be a major currency in the future at globally, it will dominate one day in the monetary world.

I would like to disagree with all the replies posted here. In my opinion, Bitcoin is a digital asset and therefore it doesn't have a fixed size or shape. The logo of Bitcoin is not like what it looks like. For example, the symbol of the United States Dollar is "$". But that is not how it looks like. Do you want to know how the US Dollar looks like? It is true, bitcoin is virtual currency. But also it is true, bitcoin has no physical appearance, but on internet you will find different appearance of bitcoin shape but in real bitcoin has no face and no coin shape. But for me, it is enough that the gold coins has a name of BITCOIN and i believe on it because bitcoin give me always profit than real physical appearance of coins or money.

You can see already lots of it when it comes to its physical form on which you can see a big letter B on the coin which represents that its bitcoin but those arent still consider yet and there are lots of bitcoin users  who do offer or sell these coins on a certain price but expect value would really be lesser but still good for collection purposes though.

Bitcoins have no physical form because it is in the wires. Ideas have no solid form but they have greater impact than many hard objects. Bitcoins is a proof of this. The design represents the idea well exactly making it digital gold. Bitcoins are big valuables and are still advancing in this concern day by day.

Not spendable cash as such, but the fancy designs, funny-smelling paper, milled edges, gold plating, watermarks, and the endless array of national animals, heroes, myths, and mottos. One of my favorite mementos is a tiny solid gold coin given to me by my grandmother.

As for me, I think that the physical image of Bitcoin is not necessary. Bitcoin is a digital cash and since it is digital, the physical appearance is not that important. Satoshi made it as a digital cash but did not even created a real life, physical and literal appearance so anyone can create his/her own version or design of a physical Bitcoin. The only thing that matters to me is the number after the symbol "BTC" or the numbers before the "BTC" letters.

Bitcoin is virtual money in the crypto world, it is very unlikely to be real native currency. That's my view. Bitcoin became a lucrative platform for buying and selling, it proved the rapid price of bitcoin to date.

If you are asking for the physical design of the bitcoin, it has a symbol of "b" on a coin, but it reality bitcoin is just a bunch of codes it uses  cryptography to secure the transactions and to control the creation of additional units of the currency.

The truth is that I don't want that bitcoin will have its own physical appearance as a coin. What I mean is that, what will happen to its decentralization? But if you are just asking an example of a thing, maybe an imaginative layout of the "might be" physical coin.Well, it will be having a good looks if it is like a gold that portrays its high value.

A bitcoin is one of the units of digital currency unlike other fiat currencies, it works like real money the transactions are publicly been recorded  in the public ledger called the block chain and the value of bitcoin always keeps on fluctuating. The price of bitcoins have increased 100% than last year's value. In other words we can say that it is future money, the bitcoin network is growing daily, most of the countries have legalised this currency. It should look just like the logo of bitcoin a golden coin with ฿ embedded in the coin.

Looks like gold, nice design. It must be like that bitcoin must be made of gold because the price per 1btc is about 75gr gold.

It must be so expensive in feature i guess because of the value itself. I wonder if they be physical coins or should i say an existing physical currency. One must be very careful in storing and keeping them.

Actually I dont like how it was portrayed like this BTC.
It is like a bitcoin that is somehow connected with the USD because of the two vertical line.
It aint that original at all. Maybe there are some good images that could be provided but if it will be changed it might make users confused.

I agree with you. It must be something special and original in design and not just adapted from an ixisting fiat currency. By the way $ has far less value than bitcoin.

We can't blame them if they don't believe in bitcoin, it doesn't matter whether they believe it or not, what matters is we are earning money through it and it is not our fault if they are narrow minded on this thing. Maybe they just have another way or they are just having hard time to believe that bitcoin could be a source of income.
