Title: Name your TOP 3 altcoins! Post by: colour on May 16, 2013, 12:55:35 PM We have seen the arrival of a lot of new altcoins in the last couple of weeks, and I love all of them. I think they are all great in their own way, but here is a list of my favourites:
-------------------------- #1 - Gamecoin! A coin that was made especially for gameing. I think that is a pretty awesome idea!!! #2 - Bitbar! It's actually a BAR, not a coin. The guy who promotes these wrote that they could one day be used as a way to transfer value from one bank to another, because they are not Bitcoins, and therefore they are not associated with crime. Banks don't like to be associated with crime. I think Bitbars could potentially have a great future! #3 - Powercoin It feels to me as if this one is practically oozing with POWER! So awesome! #2 YAC (for now) because its actually *different*, and seems to be growing an active community (even a new dev forking the branch to maintain development). We'll see if it has any merit long term. Nothing is #3 yet, the rest are all just clones of each other with minor tweaks. ELC had potential with its low block reward to prevent the mad rush at the start, but was such a failure at launch with all its problems it seems doomed. The reward increase also seems a bit extreme.
