Title: Winklevoss Index = $12,770,919
Post by: the founder on May 16, 2013, 04:59:38 PM
I added the Winklevoss Index,  they claim to own 1% of all the bitcoins created so far,  and the formula assumes they purchase at time to time to keep that rough percentage.   http://www.ounce.me/

I don't see that this is adding useful or interesting information. I mean everyone can do a simple comma-shift of the total market cap to get to the 1% value.

It would be much more interesting to add direct BTC/Gold and BTC/Silver rates.

Apart from that: Nice site.

Why would anyone care, and who are they? Looks like junk on your site, and the satoshidice and rss feed cubes look terrible too.

don't visit it then...  70,000 visitors a day go there... so making it 69,999 a day won't bug me too much.

I fixed order of Gold / Silver and Gold:BTC and Silver:BTC

Feedback other than from farlack ...  we already know his opinion ..

I'm hoping those twins are seriously considering opening a fully licensed US based exchange. They would probably be able to actually do it correctly, legally, and they would stand to make even more money than they have now.  The estimates I have seen for the cost of starting an exchange, following all the rules, is only 25 million. their btc holdings is about half that now, I'm sure they could raise the remainder. That's what money guys like them do. We will see what they have to say at the big conference this weekend.

There is a lot of VC money looking at btc, let's hope they see opportunity while the rest of us penny-ante dreamers wallow in FUD

I'd be surprised if they still hold 1% after the past month of volatility.

You know, for some reason I really doubt you're getting 70,000 visitors a day. You don't even have any seo, you don't even have any real tracking software. You're using a hit counter that probably adds +1 every time it refreshes.

Google analytics is free.

I was just trying to help, though I guess I was wasting my time, seeing as I'm trying to help convince the same person you don't need a $500 a month server for 50mb a month in bandwidth, that out of your supposed 70,000 visitors I'm sure 69,995 don't know who that person is. And the two blocks look tacky as hell covering your charts.

It's why I don't really pay attention to you or your buddy Matt Wright.

Even if its 70,000 visits, its still not bad. Great website but not greatest design an layout.

The problem is I need it to fit a mobile design ...   hence very limited room.

if anyone has any ideas on how to make it look better while still fitting those dimensions I am all ears.

Thanks for the service, looks good and I'm sure you will improve on the display. But where are you getting the gold spot feed? Is it live spot? It shows 1374 as current price, did we even go down to that price today?

I'd be stunned if that high a percentage of people using Bitcoin were unfamiliar with the Winklevoss twins.

... Not that I want a "Winklevoss Index"...

Where do you get your oil number?  I have crude at $95.20 right now.

Cool, it looks good on Windows Phone in IE.  :)

Someone needs to design a wallet app for Win 8.

We know and don't care/aren't particularly impressed. Max Keiser (http://polimedia.us/trilema/2013/in-which-noobs-learn-lessons-and-pay-for-the-privilege/), another utterly anonymous famous person also made very similar claims for very similar reasons at about the same time, with the same pretense and everything. Do you see a pattern here?

Kinda cool seeing what the pizza transaction is worth now. Fear not, the receiver probably got rid of it or just lost his wallet.
