do you sell your bitcoin or convert to usd?

I will be a hypocrite if I say no.
Of course I do. I have the panic mode also which makes me scared sometimes when the bitcoin price is dropping.
I trust bitcoin but I dont trust myself and that is one hell of a problem.
But I dont do it all the time. There are circumstances that I will just close my eyes and leave it. Bet that it will come up again and maybe buy some more.
There are also things that I buy which cannot be bought using bitcoin so I need to withdraw it.

I don't sell my bitcoin permanently, i do trade them in an exchange and i always try to play with the volatility of bitcoin and i just continue doing it until now and i don't sell bitcoin if i don't really need the money. I just sell bitcoins when my savings in my bank account goes too low so i can add some funds in my savings for future expenses.

That's right selling bitcoin all the time reduces the allowance to increase because as we all know it fluctuates most of the time or it changes the rate. That's really nice idea of yours. That's one of my plan, to add up my funds because it's been awhile since I stop depositing some amount of my account. I believe that saving money is the best way to set goals for the future needs. So I hope it will pump more so that I can start a business that is all about bitcoin. I can also help other people about this who also try to live normally they can for survival.

Well the same for me also but btc is my main currency any altcoin i traded always comes back to btc if im going to withdraw it. I dont think my country still has a direct withdrawing site from usd but it supports btc to peso. sometimes also get bored playing around an exchange site so i would just leave it there in the market until the price reaches my bid. I hope bittrex could also support BCC trades to any other altcoins. Maybe a lot would also invest in bcc by then.

Im not selling btc Im just holding them safe on my personal wallet but when there are times I need cold cash amd decide to take from my btc I am converting it directly since my wallet have that feature.

If I have a few dust about of bitcoin in my wallet and I'm seeing the price going down, then I convert my bitcoin to my currency and If I'm seeing the price going up then I convert it back to bitcoin. But for my other wallets that have a bigger amount, I don't convert it but instead just hold on it and I'm not worried if the price is going down. I'm in for the long haul and I would rather hold on my bitcoin instead of panic sell it.


Initially, I was doing this quite often because I needed cold cash for my offline business. But now since my offline business is doing great, I'm no longer converting my bitcoin but instead just continue to hold. I just convert dust amounts, coming from my gambling activity. But my main wallet, I don't touch it very often, unless I needed money for emergency.

I think the word "sell" means to convert bitcoin into some kind of fiat already. I sell my bitcoins weekly no matter about the price. Move everything in RUB (Russian currency) and send to my debit card. That's how I live  :)

Yes holding can make us a good profit, because the price of bitcoin is currently increasing. Selling it part is also an option, but we must keep some of the bitcoin we have. Believe that bitcoin prices will go crazier than it is today. Bitcoin has passed 3500USD and will continue to grow every time. Here's a chance to earn more money.

I always convert my bitcoin to USDollars whenever i accumulate some.

Sometimes i convert when the prices downs and ups like trading but in an exchange.

Most of my earnings i just convert them to fiat currency and just keep some balance to play sports betting and some for long term view. As my all expenses are depended on this revenue so i have to convert them to fiat currency and fulfill my expenses.

It largely depends upon my need. I prefer to keep my money invested in Bitcoin until I need them. Bitcoin is the best investment in terms of ROI and risk and hence the best way to grow your money.

Well it will depends on the situation. If there's a case of emergency or I really need a money, I would probably sell my Bitcoin. But if its just an ordinary day, then I would probably hold and/or invest it. Though at some point to since this industry is unstable, there would be an instances that I would probably be forced to panic sell my bitcoins. To minimize further loses.

I'm invest bitcoin every month from my salary and spend about 10%

At first i always convert it to usd. Then the bitcoin mining turns into mainstream, so i study how the hardware works and i find out that i can earn more coins from it, So i invest some of my money on building the mining rig. Now im earning bitcoins passively through it and im selling some of my excess coins and trading sometimes.

I don't sell my bitcoin and didn't convert to usd, because I'm converting it to my local currency and cash out it to buy my everyday needs. I think I need to try to convert it in usd next time maybe I can gained much profit with that.

Well for now I have no plan to sell any of my bitcoin or convert it to fait currency. Yes i sell my bitcoin but not convert my bitcoin to usd, i convert my bitcoins into my country currency and it's not quite big though, depend on my salary. Actually i can convert my bitcoin to USD but it's no need because i don't use USD here in my country and i also hold some of bitcoin in my wallet.

Right now converting Bitcoin into USD is not the right option because USD value is same from many days so it is not the right decision to convert Bitcoin into USD. So I am not converting because Bitcoin value is increasing so it is good option to hold in Bitcoins only.

I think all our profit in bitcoin will be converted to money currency if we decide to cash out, but for me, for now I will invest on bitcoin I will put some of my earning on it and it will stay a bitcoin for a few years waiting that its value will go higher, and that is for sure. so invest now, :)

I think its automatic. When i sell my btcs, automatically it will be converted to usd so i'm not sure there's a difference between selling and converting. Every now and then i let go of some of the btcs that i have especially if certain circumstances require it.

Both has got the same meaning, but what Op has thought is whether you sell and withdraw or just convert to USD and keep hold of it to buy when the price falls. As different pairs has got different growth, people prefer based on the increasing market. In such way when btc/USD pairing is used majority of the traders convert and keep hold of it.

What currency you convert in depends on the exchanger and the country you live in. So, not everyone sell bitcoins for US dollars unless they want dollars for some particuilar reason. If I sell my bitcoins then it's in my local currrency because in that case I need mone for something but sometimes I don't sell but just use my bitcoin debit card, that is even better.

Yeah whenever I need money I sell my bitcoins and convert it to usd as that is the only option left for me to spend my bitcoins as there is no physical shop in my country that accepts bitcoin as a mode of payment so whenever price goes I higher I sell my bitcoins and convert it to usd.

Yeah, of course, the current price of bitcoin increased so high and is the highest achievement in history so I sell it in part and would like to the record that I ever sell at the highest price. on the other hand, I was worried prices will fall again.

Don't feel worried for the price of bitcoin if it falls again because instead of feeling sad for the price fall, we should be happy because we can get more bitcoin for a lower or cheaper rate than now which is very awesome for traders who want to buy more and also for investors who are looking for long term investment using bitcoin.

Even if price falls there is nothing to get worried as this is a common practice in bitcoins and even if it goes down it will recover once again in future so if there is a downfall in price we should not miss an opportunity to buy it at lower price.

Am pretty  new here and am yet to start earning bitcoin from signature campaign and other services here in this forum. But if I eventually make some reasonable amount of Bitcoin, i will not convert it to fait currency like dollar but reinvest it, since I still have another source of income that will take care of my financial obligations.

Yes, i always exchange bitcoin at fiat every week. Withdrawing half profits from trading. That way, my bitcoin can still grow as my fiat in bank account also increases. And that's a wise way of managing my investment assets.

At present I would just keep the Btc and not convert it into USD unless it's very important . Because the prices of coins are rising day by day and if we convert it we will lose the opportunity of getting good profits in coming time .

I do sell my bitcoins but don't convert it to USD as I am from India so I prefer to convert it to my local currency and as there is no option to spend bitcoins directly at a moment so the only choice left is to sell it and convert it to fiat.

It depends on my mood and of course on the situation according to need. Some of the time I prefer to not to sell it and convert my bitcoin into others for the of profit making and sometimes I sell my bitcoin converting them to dollar and then withdraw it, specially when I am in need of money.
But to be very honest I don't like the time when I withdraw any unplanned amount because of the preferences and the schedule that I made for my trading activities.

For me it's depend to the situation, if the offer of the buyer is higher than original price I sell it but if I know that I'm getting lost if I sell, I think it's better to convert it than to sell. Moreover, due to in demandingly of bitcoin more users are want to buy bitcoin.

Good idea but if you really need the money right now converting is needed than selling it and waiting for a customers before you can sell your bitcoin..
and here in my country there is no rate of converting bitcoin into fiat and i think we can still save a good money ..
But if you have an extra time selling bitcoin can gives you a good benefits and more profit.. and i think you need some promoting strategy to find a customer to sell your bitcoin ..

I am glad that at least you are completely aware of the potentials and amazing features of bitcoins. Indeed it is stupidity to sell bitcoins just for fun. They are highly expensive digital coins and besides are evergreen mode of investment. Volatility definitely serves as an opportunity for those who understand trading in true means.

Ya true so .If you want huge money means you can sell the bitcoin. Or else keep that for very long time as much as possible. Then only you get huge profit as compared to now.It is stupid thing to sell all the holding bitcoin by consider the price will not rise more than this.

I have a debit card and when i really need fast cash i withdraw some $$$ in a near atm, or purchase directly in any store, but i often do it, i dont like spending bitcoins because i prefer holding it for the future.
for those who doesnt have a debit card, you should have one if you are looking for withdrawing or spending some btc, it is the faster way.

Sometimes I sell my bitcoins for USD whenever i need fast money. I have also credit card which can be loaded via Btc so I use it sometimes to withdraw some cash. But I try always to hold some amount of Bitcoin because the price is increasing highly.

Untill  more need of money i dont sell my btc. just trade in the exchange.After withdraw to my wallet then try to sold them to another person who need bitcoin.then if i find the person who need btc i transfer my btc with my local currency.

yes i am also selling my bitcoin in local market and changing it into my fiat currency and then use it for fulfilling my needs. actually we still do not have such facilities to use bitcoin for shopping online or even to use it in our local shops. my be in some places such facilities are available but still in our places we do not have such facilities.

I sell it but never really got an opportunity to convert it to usd i always feel that this is the right time to pull my investment from bitcoin out but no matter what i always fail i simply sell it for any altcoins or for usdt but finally end up buying it during a dip in price. For now I'm just holding it as long as I can because bitcoin price lately was increasing. But selling it and converting is to usd is just the same because you will both get the money. Depending on a certain person if he would decide to hold up their bitcoin for longer times before converting it to USD. Because people will really do make conversions when they do need of money or decided to bought another altcoin in the market and yes its possible because people do really love to diversify things.Just like on what im doing,i do spend some of the percentage of my bitcoin holding into another coin which on the way of diversifying it.

Not everytime but I do sell my Bitcoin holdings because I can not spend my Bitcoins directly. I generally try to spend as much as 50% of my new holdings but sadly there is not even a single merchant in my city who is accepting Bitcoins directly against his goods and services so converting it in fiat is the only option which I try to avoid. I am sure in next 10 years we will be able to use Bitcoins for the offline transactions without the need to convert it to fiat currencies.

For me, depend on my financial condition, if there's no any cash to cover my daily expenses, then there's no choice but to sell bitcoin.

If we are going to sell our bitcoins it will be converted automatically into the value of USD. But here in my country the exchanges are depending to USD's current value but they are paying us when we sell it with our very own local money. I can still see that they are depending with the market's USD value.

I'm converting it to USD because that way, I could earn a lof of profits than selling it on peer to peer. You could only earn profits on selling your bitcoin peer to peer, but only a little, while if you are going to hold it in your wallet, you could earn profits in the long run, and it is bigger than you could ever expected.

That’s wise if you don’t waste your bitcoins and cash them out only when you need some money urgently. I will suggest keeping bitcoins in offline wallets until and unless the prices don’t touch your expected value and then cash them out. Earning bitcoins is not easy at all.

No. I hold it until the right time to sell it. I know it is good for me to become rich. I can considered it as a long term investment. I have a lot of patience because I have a motivation and a dream to become a successful person.

Well, yes. Everyone does sell their Bitcoins when they needed money otherwise there is no reason to sell as everyone know that the price of BTC is still undervalued. The only people who sell Bitcoins without reason is panic sellers.

If I sell more bitcoin than currency conversion including USD. Because the need can not be postponed rather than save in the form of money is better on sale for the necessities of life.

I try to save my bitcoins as long as possible and don't sell it but if I am in urgent need of cash and I don't find any other source to get fiat then I sell some of my bitcoins and convert it to my local currency as in my country I can't use USD anywhere for buying things offline so I sell my bitcoin and get fiat currency transfer to my bank account.

Of course, i always sell half of profit i get from bitcoin to fiat every friday. Because, i feel worthy of being paid online to pay for electricity for example or for time i spent sitting in front monitor. And bitcoin is my best job.

This will depend upon the conditions that will happen for me during the trading because we need to go through the usd because of the onl reason of the two factors .
First factor is to have only usd for thr making deals or we need usd to oay someone and second reason may be to make the stable of your investment  in the bitcoin .
Usually most of the times i faced such type of conditions and also i made changed my btc into usd to make its price stable for long time ( beofre the two weeks of the hard fork .
And i think here herr it is brttrr option for js to have usd instead of cash in some cases because to sell for fiat for direct deal is not safe thing but at exchange direct change into usd is better option and we can still make trade with that usd with another coins .

I use bitcoins as my source of living and trading some of it. I used to work on a signature campaigns and do white papers and as  i earn bitcoins, I have tried to study about trading and how it works and it turns me into a trader because u can gain money easier but just a small amount and that amount is already enough.

Also in time of panic when the prices goes low and when some people find that  price is going down so they become panic due to these reasons which makes them sell their coins. Otherwise I don’t see any other reason due to which people sell their bitcoin.

It will be a great idea if some one do not sell their bitcoins and hold it for the price increase. Uhm, i don't think there's a difference when you convert btc to usd then convert to fiat. Usd is the main fiat currency so how do you suppose to do that. Converting to usd and selling is pretty much the same thing

No I don't. I saving all the bitcoin that I earned because I believe it will become valuable. I think I will sell it 5 years from now because I prefer long term investment. I can say that long term investment is really effective.
