Post by: adamantasaurus on August 09, 2017, 08:16:38 PM

Baikal is the only ASIC hardware manufacturer with X13 algorithm compatible hardware.

Do you have a baikal? I sent money via wire transfer for one today and I sent them an email with a screenshot of the wire and he replied asking me for a copy of my passport.. I thought well that is really strange so I called their bank to find out if they needed my passport for them to receive my money and they did not so I told them that I would not give them my passport and they replied well it is for us to confirm your payment more safely (which doesn't make sense at all) I called I replied to that last email which was the last I heard from them so I panicked called my bank and tried canceling the wire but then read online that someone wired to the same exact beneficiary Vitcore holdings (or something) and they received their miner so I called back my bank and canceled the cancelation of the wire haha. I hope I get my miner...

I have Baikal Asics miners and I have ordered them many times from the site. I am happy to look at what you were sent for some verification.

If you want to mine x13 without a Baikal Asics miner, you need gpu/cpu mining. :-\

Whats the version of Baikal Asics miner to mine X13?
I had go to their website, but there is only one product on sale, that cannot support X13.
And whats the ghash of your miner?

The older Baikal miners (based on their original chips) were the ones that support X13 - the old Cube 900 etc models.

I *think* I remember them mentioning that their new chip in their current miner can support X13 but they have not enabled that support in the firmware of their new miner yet.

Baikal A2000s mine x13. But X13 has been excluded from the X10. They state 2 more algos will be added. Also Skein which is x13.
Baikal does not list A2000s any more. So who knows what they are up to.

Keep waiting.  The D3 ASIC chip is designed to do only one type of calculation (Application Specific IC).  It cannot physically do anything else other than X11.  It's like expecting a train to leave its track to steam across a lake.
Baikals are FPGS, and can be re-programmed like a GPU or CPU.  Baikals are like the duck cars from the 1950s.

So, it seems like that everyone with an x13 asic is mining deeponion only? what will they do if deeponion is no longer profitable to mine because of difficulty or simply ending its POW period?
