Title: BEST BITCOIN WALLET? +BEST ANONYMOUS, BITCOIN DEBIT CARD? (+two other questions)
Post by: Thomas3520 on August 10, 2017, 11:37:12 AM
What is the best bitcoin wallet?
I'm talking about web/desktop/app wallets that are 1. easy to use and 2. SECURE! :-[

I've done some research and found a few interesting wallets:
Bitwala, Counterwallet, Bitpay, Blockchain.info

The perfect wallet would be one, where I ONLY have control over my bitcoins and which is accessible via multiple devices... :)

Any recommendations? I would go with Blockchain.info, but what are your opinions? (Are the fees high?)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My second question: What is the best ANONYMOUS, (VIRTUAL) Bitcoin debit card?
It has to be cheap and the fees low, and you should be able to order infinite cards...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My third question: Where can I convert stupid Paypal money into Bitcoins with low fees?  >:(
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My last question: There are some decentralized crypto currency exchanges, that I've found! What is the best one?
Nvo.io, bitshares.org and wavesplatform.com
What is your opinion about them?  ;)

PS: I am excited about your answers! It can help many people from making the right decisions! :D

For me the best online wallet is blockchain.info because it has a 2FA authenticator and email verification enabling security that you can set before logging in. And I am using now an Electrum local wallet and I am happy with it because I didn't download the whole blockchain in able to use it and it has so Eco friendly platform.

But I've heard, that the fees are very high for blockchain.info...

And can you take some time to reply to all of my questions? I've seen, that you know a bit about the wavesplatform... ;)

Just use:

https://download.bitcoinabc.org/0.14.6/ for bitcoin cash - 8mb block and no segregated witness.
https://bitcoin.org/bin/bitcoin-core-0.13.0/ for bitcoin core - pre segregated witness in case segregated witness is flawed.
https://bitcoin.org/bin/bitcoin-core-0.14.2/ for bitcoin core - if you want segregated witness.

The above wallets are official functional wallets and does not rely on third parties.

Best wallet? Only hardware wallets. If you cannot get one of these, then offline wallets, Armory s something I d recomment. Electrum is also very good. Keeping your money in an online wallet is a very bad decision.

Anonymous debit card? No such thing. If you want to be able to use your card regularly like a normal debit card, you need to get verified. That might be a big deal or not, depending what country you live in. It all comes down to taxes. Not a single one major Bitcoin card company will let you spend Bitcoin anonymously since they re under AML laws themselves. You maybe can sell a few hundred bucks, after that you need to verify.

About alts and other crypto. Try DMD Diamond, one of my favorite ones. It even generates interest.

Thanks for the reply! :)

Yeah, I know, that a hardware wallet is the best option, but I think, that a blockchain.info wallet is save too... And a Bitpay mobile wallet also, because I alone have access to my private key!

And there are many cards, which don't require verification... I only want virtual ones for investing and spending bitcoins online... :D

Do you know a good place, where I can buy bitcoins with Paypal? :-\

You did ask for desktop wallets. If you are new to bitcoin, desktop wallets is the best and safest way. Use other wallets later after you've learnt and gained confidence in how bitcoin works.

Can not answer other questions as i have never used them.

I am using Electrum wallet, it is desktop wallet, but it is secured enough and the most important thing you have access to your private keys, so you own surely your bitcoins.
Blockchain wallet is safe also, but actually it is not allowing the export of the private keys.

Do not even compare hardware wallet and online wallets, these are two separate worlds in terms of private keys protection. When you use hardware wallet your private keys never leave device and you can take your wallet with you and use it on any other device.

Regarding cards and anonymity, all will ask you for verification-if not then something is wrong with that service probably and they will be the target of various institutions who hunts money laundering, terrorism and similar.

PayPal is a very risky way of buying BTC,but you can try here on forum : Currency Exchange (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0)

Second option(I have never tried personally),but fees could be pretty high : Paxful (https://paxful.com/)
