Title: UCASH
Post by: Custard81 on August 10, 2017, 12:35:02 PM
https://u.cash/

I've not come across any information on here and was wondering if anyone had any insight into the IBO.  IYO Is it worth a punt?

Custard,

Thanks for asking. I am a member of U.CASH and so my opinion would be biased. But I would be happy to provide insight into the amazing people, project, and community we have developed. If you would like to learn more about our IBO model and how it differs from a traditional ICO model let me know.

But it is interesting no Ann page can be found about the project, I visited the website and was not disappointed but seen vague words like killer app got me wondering how many killer apps are we going to see in this space

I have also a question to those ones, who started dealing with Ucash. Have you checked their whitepaper? Does it exist? If you answer positively, will you leave in this thread a link to it.
All I suppose will be interested in reading more about this project.

Sgenuine,

Great question, thanks for asking. Currently we are still in our IBO phase (not ICO much different), and as such the only way to obtain U.CASH is via one of our retail converters in Toronto, Canada, or via our website by participating as a benefactor with cash, bitcoin,or ethereum. We are going to be listed on exchanges near the end our our IBO.

We do have a whitepaper which you can find here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Lvh4SEvGVHQ0Opj8wKmytMe63PxpXFgZNgIGbpIi22M/edit?usp=sharing

Just a background, we used to be SecuraCoin (like local bitcoins) but changed directions 3 years ago to develop what we have today

Not worth a punt the way I see it. Nothing new or innovative? Then I don't care about it.

U.cash is actually doing some big things. I think people don't realize that just doing basic money management stuff between banks and payment processors (legally) is very difficult and time consuming. Although it feels like something that is not innovative, there still is not one dominate player and a lot of room for competition.

Check out their announcement thread and you'll see a lot of accusations of scam.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2435943.0

This coin popped over $1.5-billion market cap over night but yet it's only traded on one crappy exchange.  The website is huge on promises but light on details.  To get details you need to sign up and for that you need to supply KYC information.  I'll be watching this coin because it looks a lot like e-Coin.
