Hello, guys.

Want to announce FairPool ETC/MSR/WOW/RYO/XFH/XHV/XTNC/ETP/PURK/LTHN/NUKO/PGC/AKA/PIRL/PASL/TUBE (https://fairpool.xyz) mining pool to you.
Pool's software is completely written from scratch.

The main idea i want to bring on the pools scene is a Community-driven development pool.
I'm sure that a lot of you have a strong vision about how a pool should operate, especially a good one.
That is why I'm willing to use my skills in the pool's development.

Kept that in mind i designed the pool's internals in a flexible manner. That will help us to rapidly implement new ideas and features.

What is written above coupled with impossibility of the current well-known pools to move on faster to fit growing number of user's requirements give the whole Idea a good chances to live.

The project is like a child right now, but it will grow up and we have a great opportunity to use our best practice to give him a good manners.

Let's start from the beginning.

The features I believe the good pool must have:

• Realtime stats - Tired to wait 10 minutes to see your miner alive? We too. Our pool shows your miner instantly when it comes alive DONE
• Instant payouts - No more "payouts once per day/every 4 hours/etc.". Our pool executes payouts instantly once a block is unlocked by the network DONE
• Smart variable diff - Don't loose your hashrate with static difficulty anymore (still wonder why it is so widespread today). Our pool chooses valid difficulty setting for each your connection DONE
• Single connection port - You really don't need to know what TCP port should you use to connect the <NAME> mining software. Pool must do that for you. And our pool automatically recognizes the protocol, it supports GetWork, Stratum, EthereumStratum, Nicehash all-in-one at the same port 4444 DONE
• Fair reward calculation - Pool must pay all rewards he got for a block (transaction fees included into block, uncle blocks, uncle inclusion rewards) DONE
• Mobile-friendly - Web stats page should be accessible from the mobile devices when you are going for a walk and want to monitor your rigs DONE

Implemented Audio and Desktop Notifications when a new block being found.

Added live displaying percentage of work done for the current round (so called "luck")

Thank you for a reply, right now the pool produces 1-4 blocks per day. Once you joined the pool you'll receive your part of the reward once the pool will find the next block.
The more miners will join, the faster we will solve new blocks and see balance updates.
Btw, it found a block ~3 hours ago, your balance had to be updated with your part of the reward. The pool was unlucky this time, found an uncle block (a block having reduced reward), that happens sometimes rarely, for example, this one is the first uncle for the last 18 blocks on the pool.

In the long term you will receive at least the same amount of coins than on some of the biggest pools.

All what the pool is in need is to achieve some measurable speed (about 20-30 GH/s).

Experienced and newbie miners, you are welcome, we are waiting for your feedback. Just give it a try and i hope you will like it.

I have always mined ETH at Ethermine.org and done well with them, but am actually making a little more in your pool. People tend to be quiet when things are good and make lots of noise when they are unhappy.

I downloaded the miner too; from https://github.com/ethereum-mining/ethminer/releases
I provided the bitfinex exchange wallet address & started mining for 15 hrs.
As of now I dont see any mined ETP reflected on Bitfinex.

Also noticed that there is a dashboard which requires "the login used in the mining software". I'm not sure where to get this login from? The mining tool is just a command prompt with the command line execution. Dunno where I missed out..

Hello! I am having issues making the Payout work. I go to the settings screen and set the payout threshold, but what should I put in the Miner's IP box?

Use your miner's external (public) IP.

Contact me if you experience any problem with it.

i have too low diff issues on sumo.fairpool.xyz get insane amounts of shares and after 2 min stale with error in claymore can you please add high diff ports for farms too.

hey iv been mining sumokoin from your pool i have mined 1.7 sumo and its has been transfered to my wallet address but it not showing up in my wallet i have synced up the blockchain and everything still not saying its in the wallet

I tried to mine SUMO to only my wallet address, miner connects and submits shares but pool said it wasn't recognized and didn't show stats from my address.

Then I added payment ID from cryptopia and worker to the miner and then it shows stats on pool, but cryptopia says it  doesn't support direct mining to exchange, and balance was zero on cryptopia.

Can you only mine directly to exchange or also to normal wallet? Cryptopia is the only exchange for SUMO but doesn't accept direct mining, so this is useless?

Hey guys -- For some reason my dashboard isn't reflecting my hashrate(Reading 0).  One rig is showing 4500+ hashes and another showing 3500+.  Everything looks normal.  Currently using EthOS SGMiner Setup like Monero setup in their knowledge base.  Just servers pointing to SUMO and address SUMO.  Shows getting work etc but I cannot see on the dashboard on your site the hashrate or even if it's mined anything.

I seem to be having the same problem mining PASL.  The Dashboard says my login is recognizable and can receive payments.  From my miner side everything seemed to be working fine. I mined for about 15 hours and never saw any stats nor saw any payments.  I stopped mining because I wasn't sure if I was getting anything.  I also left Feedback but have not received any response yet. Hoping to get this figured out so I can get back to it.

There was some web stats outage during the last couple days caused by ongoing scaling/migration process.

Yep, please re-check the address for typing errors. If that won't help, please contact me, will check that.


FairPool SUMO supports mining directly to exchange. Use cryptopia's address and your payment id your get there in the form "<ADDRESS>.<PAYMENT_ID>"


There are some miners using EthOS, so it works fine for SUMO mining. But it is hard to say what is wrong with particular config remotely.


I'm sure your reward for just mined fresh block was nearly the same as the reward for just confirmed block.
So that is absolutely fine:
1. Reward for just mined block was added to "unconfirmed"
2. Reward for just confirmed block subtracted from "unconfirmed" and added to "balance"

Let me know if you still have some questions.


Significant difficulty rise in SUMO network these days is the reason.

Hello, I think firewall bypass should be done on the client's side. Each case is different and probably there won't be any solution to cover any possible traffic restriction variations.

Mining PASL here using the auto-generated claymore config on the main page and not seeing any stats at all.  Says the account is recognizable and valid but no hash info.  Looks like others seem to see this issue too.  Any chance we know a cause?

Yep, the pool will split the next block's reward among the miners.

Nope, Bitcointalk and chat/feedback form on the web site.

The pool supports any known mining software, and it updates Speed stats nearly instant.
That said if you see 0 H/s speed on the pool, check your configuration for a typo in the wallet address.
And we have command line generator on the pool's page.

Took a quick look at the code, seems ethminer is in active development right now and the guys just touched work update and share submission logic in the recent commits.

Please, check some older version, something like 0.12.

Well I had Pascal Lite coins auto pay out 12.25 at a time.. the last payment was for 4+ coins. I'm guessing the owner of fair pool just closed down his doors and sent the balances out to the specified wallets. That sucks cuz there aren't many Pascal Lite pools to pick from.

This is a great pool.  Hope it comes back soon.  My miners are still up and working which is the main thing  ;D

As a pool operator, you really should have a Twitter.  You could at least tweet when you have an issue.  It would make us miners more comfortable .

We place faith in a coin, partly based on social media presence.  I don’t think that is too much to ask for a pool admin.

beforehand, I was getting "Blocks till next confirmation 5" does this mean it will take longer to mine?

"Blocks till next confirmation" shows how many blocks more need to be produced by the network for your next move from "Unconfirmed" to your "Balance". In other words, it is a countdown of how many more confirmations your "Unconfirmed" balance needs to be confirmed and moved over to your balance pending payment. Bear in mind this won't move all of your unconfirmed total over, just the next first batch. Hope I didn´t confuse you more with this explanation.

Finally figured out the situation with fairpool.xyz domain

Someone ran spam attack with this domain, sent a lot of spam mails containing link to fairpool.xyz (http://fairpool.xyz).

As a result domain was blacklisted by multiple well-known spam blacklists: Spamhaus and SURBL.
Finally XYZ registrar suspended the domain registration. To renew the domain registration i need to remove it from the Spamhaus and SURBL blacklists first.

I got a success with removing it from Spamhaus. But had no luck with SURBL, seems like these guys don't care what they are doing, they just don't pay any attention to your requests. Kindly surprised to see such old-minded regulators still driving the internet train nowadays. Being long time in the crypto I used to be sure that nobody can regulate my finances (if you are using a solid crypto like XMR or SUMO). But unfortunately there are a lot of dumb-ass regulators who is still able to block your service/domain for nothing.

It doesn't look like separate worker designation is working. I'm mining with two servers: one default worker and another "mac" worker (via the + operator in wallet address). I see only one worker (default) in the stats though the mac is doing work too.

Please check the wallet address you've specified on both servers.
I see the 'mac' worker in the logs and checked the dashboard, everything is fine with it, but the 'default' worker is not active with this wallet address at the moment.

That's strange. Default worker is the one generating most of the hash. Mac worker is doing only 100 H/s.

Ime the variable difficulty works really well on this pool as compared to others. IMHO you will not gain anything by setting static diff unless there is some situation where the miner is losing connection a lot, and even then it is debatable!

I'm not aware of any other exchanges you may use for this right now.

We have a very bad luck on ETP  :'( idk whap happened to us lately lol

By the next 12 hrs, it will be 96 hrs of mining here. I'm benching the performance using only 2 rigs (just switched back from other coins)

So far I only got 33 ETP (including unconfimed blocks), which is only around 9 ETPs per day. from 345 Mh/s..

Based on the fact that the difficulty for last 3 days went as low as 5 million to 6 million I'm getting roughly 12.5-13 at other pools.

Will my hashrate that were submitted during no-block time be compensated?

I know PPLNS favors the loyal pool member, but every block I found now I only get 6% or roughly .22 ETP per block, that's equal to the percent that I'm accounting for (6% of 4.xx Gh) as the new guy with big hash came.

So I'm assuming that the share I submitted during no-block days are excluded right?

Is it an estimation? Or do you run couple rigs here and couple on the other pools in parallel?

I love our pool so much that I always comeback to mine here whenever I got a chance, the only reason I switched was that there was a few miner last weeks and we can't even hit a block.

This is the latest stats before I moved back to our pool on 25th, I got roughly 11-13 at other pools.

You can check the pic above, that's for 24-hr mining from 23-24th. The difficulty was even higher at the time.

So ofc I would expected to get much more when the diff sunk so hard, turned out I got really bad luck?

Is everything alright on our ends?

Lastly, is it possible to check what time did I submit first share? I really want to time it precisely to make sure that I'm not rushing to conclusion. If I can know that so I can get a big picture of my average reward during these 4-5 days.

When the pool's hashrate is stable, rewards are equal "to the percentage of hashrate I'm accounting for".


PPLNS prevents pool hopping abuse but works well for miners mining at the pool for a quite some time.

I asked this in another thread, but would you mind shining a little light onto the crazy hashrate/difficulty excursions that I am seeing on the sumo pool several times a day recently? 

I'm not a very experienced miner, in fact sumo.fairpool is the first pool that I've mined for any amount of time (couple weeks now) - so this may be obvious to more experienced people.

It seems overall difficulty stays 'normally' around 6-8k (might be a little off) and the total Hashrate for sumo is about 25M/hs

From time to time (generally several times in a 24 hour period) the hashrate jumps to 35-43M/hs and therefore difficulty increases to 9-11k.  Usually this lasts several hours and then SUMO returns to 'normal'

Is the the result of large mining farms jumping from one coin to another ?  Doesn't PPLNS make that 'not as attractive' or is their hashrate just so large it is inconsequential to them ?

As I'm new to this my Hash is only about 2Kh/s which brings me just under 1 sumo/day however during these big difficulty jumps I drop to under /5 SUmo daily.  This brings my daily average down to .6-.7 according to how long these big guys stay around for.

I appreciate any knowledge you can give me about this.  Thank you.

PPLNS is the FairPool's rewards calculation system.
That said, yes, it is not attractive for them to point the hashrate to the FairPool, and they don't.

Consider this rented hashrate as a big farm doing solo mining.


The SUMO network's difficulty increases, what in turn brings down your daily average.
This is unhealthy for the SUMO. But at least SUMO guys implemented so-called "anti-botnet" difficulty retarget algo to minimize such abuse's effect.

The situation is even worse for the most Monero forks, tons of which you see around nowadays.

IDK if thats 100% correct.  A couple days ago, I briefly say our 'top miner hashrate' on our pool jump from 200 or so to over 1MH/s

I did face the same issue just like you, especially with my rigs which have high hashrate.
But it is gone now after I upgraded the srb miner to version 1.4.9.

I suggest you to upgrade as well if you haven't. Hope your issue will be gone as well.

As soon as i noticed it, ive increased the payout to 50 and quit.

I switched from your XRN pool to your RYO pool a few days ago.  Was going to switch back to XRN but there is a still a 0.8426 unconfirmed balance.  Never seen that before.  Is there an issue with the XRN pool?

Fixed, the issue was caused by the XRN blockchain rollback happened a few days ago (block were literally removed from the blockchain).

Please fix this ASAP.

PS: checked all the txes sent by the pool during the last month, resent some missing txes, but that won't fix your issue. There is no way to match a particular tx with yours cryptopia account without payment id supplied.

Seems you just don't understand what you are talking about.
SUMO is ASIC-friendly chain with hidden premine that was abandoned by the community. You won't earn a cent mining it with GPU.

RYO is rebranded SUMO Cryptonight-Heavy chain, it doesn't have any premine and has a great support from the mining community.
And FairPool is one of the oldest SUMO/RYO pools. Obviously there will be a ton of links to https://sumo.fairpool.xyz over the web.

And here are the estimated daily earnings for the same hashrate 50 KH/s, for example:
$41.6 mining RYO
$1.36 mining SUMO

Don't even try to continue this conversation without doing some research, read SUMO thread, RYO reddit and so on.

And now just say "big thanks, man" and we are done. But i bet you won't be so thankful, people like you usually just silently disappear (or continue spreading this bullshit and FUD) after being caught calling some essentially fair and comminity-friendly project "a scam".

Yep, the pool supports using "." instead of "+". Was implemented some time ago.
Will take a look into posting your Baikal workaround a bit later, thank for submitting it.


These txes were sent to cryptopia, you can check them through the block explorer by pasting appropriate txid in the "Find" field on top of the page.
But there is no way to match them with your cryptopia account since they don't contain your personal payment id.

Can we get some details on the operation of the api? I'm trying to audit some of my mining activities, but the payout history currently provided doesn't go back far enough to resolve the issues I'm having reconciling my records with the pool.  The error's definitely in my records (given that I've already spent some of the mined coin that I don't have accounted for), but I need to be able to account where each coin came from. 

I know earlier in the thread you said you weren't sure it was ready for live use yet, but I'd rather have access to my account data so I can get records tied down.  Thanks

One other feature I'd like to request:  I have a lot of hash power to throw around; enough to cause distortions to the nethash and pool hash when I point at something.  I try to keep my share of nethash at reasonable levels for myself, but I don't know what your comfort level for the poolhash/nethash ratio is.  If you had a way to say if the pool was approaching your comfort threshold (or that you wanted an individual miner to back the power off), it would make me much more comfortable.  I'd much rather work with you on managing hash power than work against you and risk getting banned from the pool.

First, you probably want to mention which coin you're mining, it would definitely help w/ diagnosis.

Second, one thing to watch for is transactions getting forked out of existence.  I know when I was auditing my payouts, I found several transactions that no longer existed because of being on the wrong branch of a soft fork.  However, for each forked transaction I found, I also found a replacement transaction from the pool making sure I got my earned coin.  Had a different transaction ID though.  I'd look and see if that tx is still in your payout history, and if not, if there's a different transaction of the same value paying you out.

Yes, maybe, but i know how it's work. Right now pool hide reward without any transaction when payout threshold was reached.

And yes, I'd like better/more in depth reporting, but nothing I've seen so far has concerned me overly.
