Is there a coin designed for crowd funding real world projects? Something that could be used on kick starter and go fund me and indiegogo or even other crypto coins? Designed so that trasactions only happen once the project is funded. Just an idea I had, any thoughts?

You can do crowdfunding with almost any coin - in theory even with Bitcoin, although the transaction fees are a bit high for crowdfunding-like activities. All the coin must support is a kind of "assets" or "colored coins". In fact, there are already some "real world" crowdfunding projects, e.g. Jinn (a microprocessor).

Examples for coins that have a native, easy to use interface for that are Nxt/Ardor, Waves and Nem.

Most other coins use an additional layer for that, for example, Bitcoin's Counterparty/OpenAssets, Ethereums "ERC20" tokens and Peercoin's PeerAssets.

For the function you describe in your last sentence (where the project that applies for crowdfunding only gets the funds you invest when a certain goal is reached) I think you need Ethereum or another smart-contract-capable coin like Burst or NEO.

I actually think it'll rise based on the hype that it gets on this forum alone.

It's an interesting idea, if you market it well enough you can probably get it going.
I'm more interested in seeing what else can be achieve with the distributed nature of the blockchain.

These days I checked the Burst wallet (I'm not invested but it's an interesting coin), and I saw that they have a crowdfunding platform, probably based on their smart contract platform (Automated Transactions (https://ciyam.org/at/at.html)).

It seems to offer exactly what the OP wanted to have: that the coins deposited by the "crowd investors" are only transferred to the "crowdfunded project" if a certain amount of coins are invested in the project. I still couldn't test it because my Burst blockchain is already not synced.

I looked also at cofound.it, but it seems a pretty centralized platform.

2nd that on Cofound.it. Cofound will also supposedly to be a good place to eventually find great new projects to invest in aside from getting your own funded eventually.
