Title: EMC2: Bail or Stick it out?
Post by: ReptarKOTO on August 11, 2017, 02:49:13 AM
Hey everyone!

First of all, I'd like to say that this is my first time on the forum and I'm new to investing in crypto.
Here's a sum up of my first week walking in blind and throwing money at things like an idiot.

-Day 1: Invested in a loser, a gainer, and a sleeper.
-Day 2: The sleeper dropped, the gainer kept going, and the loser stopped.
-Day 3: I cashed out breaking even and invested in Monroe.
-Day 4: Monroe dropped, got scared, dumped it for a small loss.
-Day 5: Monroe went back up above initial investment and I kicked myself haha.

So here is where I need your advice:

-Day 6: After seeing Einsteinium skyrocket on 'Day 1', it was is a new low and so I decided to buy at 0.00001900 which I thought was good at the time ( before I realized how much the correction would really drop it ).
-Day 7: EMC2 ... loss
-Day 8: EMC2 ... loss
-Day 9: EMC2 ... loss
-Day 10: Currently at 0.00001556 and wondering if I take the $130 loss as a lesson, or wait for it to at least ways go back up closer to my initial investment.

PS: I'm expecting a lot of "you're and idiot" comments, but I only invested in what I could afford to lose and value everybody's opinion! Speak your mind :)

Thank you!!

You are trading way too fast, blindly, and on pure emotion. Luckily you are still in good shape.

Your EMC2 purchase is a dud. EMC2 is a pump coin as far as I can see (but don't take my word for it, I have not looked at it beyond its price, being frozen for months, and the massive jump in price).

Because EMC2 soared, it is on its way back down and probably for a long time, and will bleed you. I say pull out, and invest in something else.

Thank you, that's the exact sort of feedback I was looking to hear!

Now, In regards to changing my pace (not trading so fast), I've head a lot of good from Waves and Neo, so I plan on investing "long-term" (6 months or so).
I know that Neo just made a big run up so I'm a little weary of buying much, but I really like what I've seen from Waves, and it's pretty stable right now, so maybe I'll go 80/20 or just put all into waves.

*To hell with day trading large amounts (comparative to what I have of course). I may still keep $100 in the exchanges to play around with though*

I briefly looked at Waves and it just looks like a lot of hype. Definitely going to have rise though, so yeah, go waves, and don't go Neo if just had a run.

This is basically 90% of trading. Other 5% is real information, and 5% bloody luck.

if OP is looking for 6 months holdings i think and i'm positive to say that waves are good pick then look at any ico coins like what i'm wearing right now
ico is also good option in terms of long hold because every development can happen with that period of time 6 months - 1 year and result will be much
bigger.

The EMC2 is a simulated hearing of the WTO dispute settlement system. The teams prepare and analyze a fictive case and present their arguments both for the Complainant and the Respondent in front of a Panel which consists of WTO and trade law experts.

Study the development of the coin you're looking to buy into; features, roadmap, community support, and development. You may have to hold a coin for a week, a month, or 3 before you start gaining - depending on market entry. Most importantly, don't buy on at peak like you did with EMC2
