Title: Waves token trade on exchanges
Post by: gregory51gosh on August 11, 2017, 04:13:20 PM
Which exchanges support waves tokens? I mean, for the planned ICO, when the token will be a waves token, I wuold like to make support of exchanges as fast as possible. Which exchanges would you recommend for initial talks as those "noble"?

Waves tokens and exchange support? I only know of wavesdex.io (http://wavesdex.io) which deals with anything concerning the waves platform and I think it's also an exchange.

You can use Waves Decentralized Exchange. It's the official exchange for all of waves tokens.
The chrome version is available on http://www.wavesplatform.com/

It doesn't work like the way you like it OP, most of the exchanges belong to a large international corporation and they basically list their own scam

Coins more than random coins with random developer teams. but if your project is decent, legit and promising you could list it on a few services such

As Yobit)( C-cex.com)(Novaexchange. you should provide links to your thread and all the information about your token usually in a form on their own

Respective platforms. Waves isn't as famous as it should be, give it time to see exchanges listing it with it's tokens if verified by themselves. Dex though

Is not an exchange service with many visitors or users but it's a perfect place to freely trade whatever token created by Waves.

I also recommend Waves decentralized exchange (http://www.wavesplatform.com/), as was recommended by other nice person here.

Maybe it will become waves if it has an exchange already, because you cannot do some waves if it has no exchange from the ICO, if im not mistaken to it.

Sorry to give wrong URL . I meant the waves decentralized exchange found at waveswallet.io (http://waveswallet.io) and not the quoted site.
Hope it helps although there are not much trades but okay now.

This is not the best solution.
Did you see any trading volumes there?

I even had talks to 1 exchange, but they told me that "no multi-sig" is the problem. However, waves told me that multi-sig may be coded based on github resources. waves is forcing the decentralized model (whis is also good), but this limits usage to this, what we, as community, got presently on exchanges. I really would like to use waves in my project but I have to be sure people will have ability to trade it without any problems, on reliable exchanges.. Any help?

Answer from waves:

If the exchange wants to add Waves and/or Assets, they can do it because Waves is the open-source project. They can find a source code here - https://github.com/wavesplatform
But anyway, here you can find all supported markets - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/waves
If you need a multi-sig version of the Lite client, you can create using the wallet source code - https://github.com/wavesplatform/WavesGUI But keep in mind that with each update, you will also need to update the code.
After creating, your token will be automatically available on the DEX platform with any possible pairs.

p.s. using ethereum network would be problematic due to gas limits and high commissions. it must be faster, with practically very low fees.

That's correct it does have an exchange on there but it's pretty spotty imo. Too easy for entry so there's alot of dead coins on it.

So you want to create an ico project by using a waves based tokens, like the person above says waves dex is the right choice to do ico. If your ico are successful and want to be traded in other exchanges, I think cryptopia is the right choice because cryptopia is very familiar with tokens based waves

thank you, we made a pre-ann and ico will be on dex. thanks for your information all, they helped in decision (waves vs. eth).

a tip - most of the exchanges do listing for 2-4 btc/month!

The waves own exchange has still low volumen. You should also try to place your token to others like yobit. Maybe also place your token to investbox there.

Yes, in future yes, we are speaking with english and polish exchange. but because exchanges will act like a gateway in the app, we want to connect it with business model, not just simple trade.

Tidex.com
Thanks for info. It looks good, but that too looks like based on waves. I have been looking into this lately, and I can't really find any waves token/asset on exchanges other than the ones who use the waves platform.
I'd love if someone could give me an example of a waves token trading on an 'external' exchange, other than waves itself.
I think a vital part of code(with all that may imply) that makes it easy to add tokens to external exchanges is what is missing.

Thanks OP for bringing this up :)

It is only a matter of implementation of the node + maintenance costs. Most of the exchanges just base on ERC20 tokens, because it is easy for them - you easily put the token into trade, cashing owners with BTC for being listed.
DEX has a good volume, just sometimes people are willing to hold their assets rather then sell, so there is not so much speculation factor.

If an ICO project is created using the Waves network, then it is already expected that their token will be added on the Waves DEX. Nonetheless, it is still up to the developers of the ICO if they wish to list it on other exchanges or not. But most of them, based on what I noticed, just stick to Waves DEX while the small portion of them tries to register their tokens on low volume crypto exchanges like Tidex, for example.

Mate please tell me that you're joking, I don't know anything about your own project and ICO but most of them are looking to collect that much for

Themselves, I know they raise much more but their development team usually wants to keep something between 4-6 Bitcoins as their own dev fee.

Exchanges not only charge people with trading fees, they also want a crazy amount like 2-4 Btc each month?
