You can trade on the forums and set your own fees or try Paxful too, P2P trading is usually better because third party services take more fees. There are a lot of ATMs on the UK so you could check that too, the fees varies and sometimes there is a daily limit when you are not verified using ID and you can check Bitstamp as a last option.

Are you looking to pay using your card only? You pay usually higher using a card since you pay also for Visa/Mastercard fees. You can look at Paymium but the fees are 10% when using a card if I am not wrong. You can also check BitPanda, Cex.io, both accept Visa/Mastercard.
If you can make a deposit using your bank account it will be easier and less costly for you.

This is a good list. You're a bit stuffed in the UK compared to most other places.

Localbitcoins can be the same price as exchanges, but only when excitement is down. That's when the premiums drop.

If you plan to buy regularly the cheapest option is probably to open an account at Fidor UK and send EUR to Kraken.

There is nothing special for people living in UK regarding buying bitcoins. You can buy from any place accepting cards (since you say you want to use your card) but as it has been said by a member above you pay usually higher with a card so why not pay with another way, if you can of course.
