Title: Ledger Nano S signing problem
Post by: Cart on August 12, 2017, 02:30:50 PM
Hey guys,
I have some BTC on my Ledger Nano S and I want to link them for the Airdrop of Stellar Lumen.
However when I try to sign the message I get this response:
"Failed to Sign Message: Invalid index offset"
I have researched a bit and it seems to be an issue with Ledger Nano S right now.
Is there a reliable OFFLINE tool, which I can download, to sign messages from Bitcoin in general since I have the private keys, but don't want to insert my details into a website form?

Best regards
Cart

Yes, I checked it but it still doesn't work. Could it be because I use a macbook?

Have you tried linking it to a wallet such as electrum and using electrum to sign the message?

But that is also a problem, for that I would have to get the private key out of my Ledger Nano S which kind of defeats cold storage.
I tried it on windows again now and also the same error code. Is it currently not working for anyone to sign messages in Ledger nano S?
