Title: Virtual PC for downloading altcoin wallets
Post by: figmentofmyass on August 12, 2017, 10:52:54 PM
hi all,

i wanted to download a few altcoin wallets to take advantage of some airdrops. but i wanted to use a virtual pc with networking disabled as an extra layer of protection in case one or more of these wallets turns out to be malicious.

my main issue: i have a windows 7 with working windows xp virtual machine. but dumb old me can't seem to figure out how to transfer files (e.g. from the host machine) to the virtual pc. it used to be drag and drop prior to windows 7. it seems they've disabled drag-and-drop functionality. i'm trying to avoid setting up file sharing/networking.

any pointers or advice on another route to take? i don't have too many coins exposed on this machine, but i'd rather be safe than sorry.
