Hi guys,

Coin Ticker is a cryptocurrency ticker for your iPhone. It monitors the exchange rate of Bitcoin and altcoins. Prices are fetched every minute from the APIs of several websites (Poloniex, Bittrex, Bitstamp...). It will display the altcoin prices both in Bitcoin and your local currency (Support USD, EUR, GBP, CNY.... and so much more)
Your can also use it to manage the portfolio of all of your cryptocoins.

Hi! Great app, I bought the full version ;). It would be nice to have Kraken prices (here their API: https://www.kraken.com/help/api).

Love the app, I'll upgrade to the full version if you add Quark.  It is the last of my coins that are not covered in the app.

Future to think about, can you use BlockChain.info's api to pull a balance from a public key?    Would love a solution to get the wallet that I mine to on here,  I have to check my wallet and update the coin count every few days.

Nice App :)  very handy for checking prices when I'm out & about. 
Just wanted to say thanks for adding LOT today!

Please also consider adding Digibyte, the community is becoming well established & has been handled very professionally since launch. There is already an Android wallet, but because of apple's crypto policy the only thing available for those on iOS is a ticker like your app. It would greatly increase functionality for people like me & I would recommend your app on our thread :)

Please go to settings menu - coin request,  then click the request button next to the coin you want to add. I will add those coins most people requested.

Hey, thanks for the update, i've been really enjoying the app the last few weeks!

However, the update seems to have broken my app! I can't access the portfolio tab, it crashes my app.

Didn't want to leave negative feedback on the itunes store, becuase i think it's a useful app, but not cool that it's broken :(

Please delete and reinstall the app, that will fix the crash.

Only TagCoin (and MicroCoin) are the coins which I'm missing. It would be great if you can add atleast TagCoin :).

Love the app,  upgraded to the full version long time ago and have been very happy with all the updates.   I use it daily!

The other item I would like to bring up is the Cost Currency.   Many coins are purchased with BTC,  would be nice to add this as a cost to see how much BTC you've earned by investing in a specific coin.   For many alt coins,  I invest in them to earn more BTC so allowing me to enter cost basis in BTC rather than fiat would be great.

I don't understand the cost field in the portfolio view.  Am I missing something?

By hitting 'edit' you can also fill in "costs" (together with the amount of the particular coin you have chosen etc).

When you've filled in an amount, it will be showed in that portfolio view.

Yes, but what does "cost" represent?  I've hooked up my wallet, and the amount in the wallet should be shown.  If there's no cost value, the amount is not shown.  But the coins in my wallet don't necessarily have an associated cost.  They just are.  And I want to see the amount, and possibly the exchange rate in another currency.

So I don't understand where "cost" factors in.  Again, sorry if I'm sounding daft, but the concept doesn't click with me.

About adding new coins:
Please go to Settings - Voting, and vote for the coins you want to add(If the coin is not on the list, tap the "Add Coin" button on the upper right corner to submit it). You can also ask more people to vote. I will add coins on top of that list constantly.

In your case, just ignore the cost field, the value will still show. You can tap the "total value area" to switch between counting in BTC or counting in fiat.

That's just the thing, though.  It doesn't show anything. 

I added my DOGE wallet and it shows absolutely no values in the portfolio.  So... I'm doing something wrong?  But there doesn't seem to be anything else I can do aside from add a cost.  I dunno, I guess I'm missing something, but I'm going searching for another app that shows my wallet value.

Hit portfolio, edit, add, manual, 'add coins or funds', hit DogeCoin, fill in the amount of Doge you've got and than hit done.

This should work for sure ;). Allthough you've to edit your amount of (Doge)coins manually. I don't mind, as the amounts in my wallets are quite static (as I own dynamic amounts at exchanges like Cryptsy).

Needs work:

Missing monero and some coins
Cannot add stocks to portfolio (not on alpha list)
Does not have exchanges outside havelock

I think you should take a look at the app again. It does support BTC-e and Cryptsy too, besides Havelock.   It's a "drop-down menu" (I think it's the right word for it), you might have to scroll upwards or downwards.

I think this app attracts even more people if they devide to add more exchanges, but I'm not sure how much efforts this takes.

@ don those are not bitcoin stock exchanges.

I love this app- it's my main go-to portfolio manager for crypto.
Although I like the coin voting I wonder if entire exchanges shouldn't just be listed? There are some obvious coins such as Monero and Bytecoin (BCN- not to be confused with it's namesake BTE) missing- and many new coins on Poloniex that are getting popular- why not just add the entire exchange?
Additionally, you should absolutely add the coins on masterxchange.com- it's a main trading exchange for mastercoin and maidsafe (if not the only exchange?).
Anyway, great with developing and updating the app!

I think it's quite a hard job to add all these coins and exchanges. If it's not, the dev definately should add more coins and exchanges, which makes this app even better!  However, if many coins are added, we should have an option to select coins we want to see on the first page ~ the current value, as I don't want to scroll 5 minutes ^^.

Just my 2 cents, I still use this app a couple of times a day!

May I offer a suggestion? It would be really handy if we could tap the column header and sort the list up or down. Also, a small arrow next to the price indicating up or down trend would be great. Love the App, keep up the great work!

I was just wondering if it would be possible in the future to input my 'cost' in BTC.

I trade Alts in order to make more BTC, so I'm not really tracking USD cost in the app per trade.

I realize this may be difficult to implement or something, but I'd really love to turn the 'unknown cost' message into something useful for me.

Hi, I just took a chance and bought the full version of your app, but i'm really disappointed. The main perk of the full version was the graphs, but there is little data on the them. The axises aren't labeled, and the only view is the daily. Please add more in-depth graphs. Perhaps when you press a graph, it enlarges and gives you all of the info you need, such as daily, monthly, semi-annual, annual, and max time frames, volume, and other things.

It would be great if GuldenCoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=554412.0) is added to the app. This coin gets better and better, everyday new Merchants (both online and offline) are added and the active community gets bigger and bigger.  In my opinion it's better than many of the other coins in the "voting list".  Thanks in advance!

Im experiencing the same, In my vote list, it shows I have voted for Joulecoin and Diamond coin. It will not let me vote for them again, but I can vote other coins or add one. I added Icebergcoin. Has been like this for about 2 weeks now. Also, Im guessing my Add Iceberg didnt go through to be checked as it hasnt shown in the list at all in the 2 weeks.

I think this app is no longer supported by the dev.    I did purchase the additional features and I'm pretty disappointed as this was an app I used every day.   Things are slowly breaking and soon I'll just have to delete it.

Be aware before buying any in-app purchases in this application.

I think it depends on what coin you are looking for. Do an app search in the store for the coin you're looking for & you may find something. I haven't found any alternatve which has the coins I follow though

Was looking to follow Ethereum. Can't find anything so far.

The Kraken app includes a ticker for ETH but I think their market is very small, might be a market "follower" as opposed to a leader

Used to be a fan of this app,  but with no dev had to move on.   Thankfully a better app got released a few weeks ago!

Great app! Unfortunately the database is always lagging a bit behind, meaning that you cannot track a lot of the newer coins.

Loving the app, especially being able to have several portfolios.
