Could be true....however....long term holder since 2013 ...at 100 btc (safety deposit boxes are dandy) ...so from a LONG TERM HOLDER point of view

There are other trolls of similar nature that always announce "the big crash that's coming", meanwhile the price has only gone up since then. He may be right 1 out of 10 times because statistically you end up being right if you always predict the same thing, but this is no different than Alex Jones predicting the fall of the dollar for the past 30 years.

We can't have a assured statement on the same. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency grows with accordance to the circulation on the exchanges and the other markets. Now more acceptance is established over the past few months. This is based on the increasing trust over the digital currency market. So crash might happen as historic price hike is taking place.

Nothing else could be expected from Mr.kwuckduck.He has been trying to spread FUD since past few years.But despite such people's efforts,bitcoin has successfully reached these peaks.It would be better to turn a deaf ear to such people's talks.Its true that bitcoin's price has fallen a little after a huge price rise,but definitely it would settle in a price greater than its previous price.

It doesn't scare me at all. Actually, nothing to be fear about the crashed because I strongly believe that it will goes up again simply because that's how it works. Just think of it as an opportunity to buy more so that if it goes up again you've made a bigger profit.

Believe in any delusion of your choice. Facts are facts. Bitcoin will not be able to survive anywhere near this price level with the upcoming hard fork. Now this is still some time away but before that the whales will take their profits more than ever before because this split can be and probably will be a great disaster. I don't believe bitcoin will really crash down it may go down but not that low that it used to way back in 2009...but then I make some assurance for myself tgat's why I sold all my bitcoin a while ago...so if it will crash anytime I have nothing to fear or regret...I am happy in the earnings I have now

On what are you basing your opinion? It may be possible but you can't claim the biggest bitcoin crash started without telling us why and give us an argument. Otherwise, anyone can say the same each time the price is losing 10 bucks. The price just lost 200$, have you forgot that in July it lost 800$ in the same amount of time?

If I remember correctly the crash of 2013 was something along the lines of 80% right? So losing 50% will in fact not be as bad as that crash, however if you look at it in terms of fiat then losing 50% now is losing 2000 dollars but as you point out I do not really care, I’m profit even at those prices.

I can remember lots of similar topics about bitcoin crash when the price had reached 1000, 2000, 3000 dollar. None of them happened. A little decrease in price is possible as fluctatuations in cryptocurrencies always exist.

Anyone shorting this market?   It might seem lime a good time to do so, but I don't have the brass testicubes to do it.  Nor do I even know where to.  One could stand to make a huge profit when the correction comes, which it's sure to do.  $4000 already.   Never would have thunk it!

It's actually good we small holders get a chance to buy more falling to 2000$ will be too much but the fall has surely begun it will end up from where it had started currently i see a nice hold at 3800$ it won't last long but as the price keeps getting higher the crash will also be huge all i care about is the altcoin market to develop if bitcoin drops it has been a long since when altcoins had high prices

I agree with our duckbear (;) ) that a correction is probably happening. Maybe even a (short-term or mid-term) trend reversal after an extremely bullish week.

But I don't think it will be an "epic crash". At most, we'll retest the old all time high on $3000, although I think for now it's unlikely. The reason is that I think the rise of Bitcoin has a reason - big investors incoming after Segwit is locked in and the uncertainties around August 1 have ceased. As at $4000 there wasn't really a resistance, my guess is that some of the investors will gamble for $5000. I'm skeptic that this mark will be reached or broken, but another bullish leg is possible.

Half a day later: We are back approaching the highs. I love the idea of a crash, actually, because I have some dirty fiat money sitting on GDAX just waiting to scoop them up cheap. But the last thing I'm going to do is predict a crash while each dip continues to get bought up.

There will come a time like the end of May when the dip won't be bought -- I plan to buy a few days into that crash. Hopefully we'll run some stops below a major support, because that's where my bids will be. Too early for any big predictions until we actually see a major correction setting in.

This time we will always see the interest to buy more and more bitcoin for the long-term investment, I remember the cnbc reporter already buy some bitcoin and altcoin to be the longterm investment. there is no maximum down. there will be only pump for the bitcoin price.

you will feel the crash if you start trading when the bitcoin is at its peak, you will always encounter the fear of crashing when you are on top. long time bitcoin investors and holders  when it was still @200 below circa 2015, 2102 are the lucky ones. so there's no need to fear for them when the bitcoin crash cause they were there long time ago.

After sun there comes a rain, yes, but maybe this could wait for a while. Bitcoin has positive trend in price so long, with some small corections meanwhile, so now mayn users expect for dump to come. This might happen but also not. The price will stay volatile and will get down in some period but that doesn't mean that the big dump is waiting for us. So, enjoy.

It didn't begin at all. But yeah there could be really hard dump waves in just days after all these aths I suppose. But I think bitcoin after Segwit will be very strong to hold before, there won't be huge crash anymore.

Same old story, the crash most times are correction that last a while. One of the factors that is believed to improve its value is gaining strenght, which is the increase in demand and more effecient use. The hard fork had been well reviewed and am sure alot of its effect had been anticipated. Bitcoin is getting older daily, so are the management and users. Now a better decision can be made with its growth.

I think this is not a sabotage, it's like a fuse. It is being lit, and it is burning. At some point, it will explode, everything will return to its original state, but the damage to everyone's fortune will be huge.

Even though i don't usually agree with the FUD that you spread about this forum i do think that we could see bitcoin price adjust in a major way within a few weeks. This pump has gone too fast and is not sustainable, at all.

I wouldn't say it's the biggest dump, though. Because back in 2013 the price basically dropped by more than half, and i remember i was okay with that. Even if it drops by 60% it's still going to be somewhere around $1600 per coin, and i bought in way before that.

70% would be $1200, again, i expect most people to still be in profit even if they only bought in bitcoin this January.

Well, we are not yet witnessing any crash at all... it is going strong up the 4100 $ right now. I also think it will crash shortly, but for now it is not the case and we really aren't witnessing it yet.

Everything that is happening now is whales preparing to walk out with their bags full of fiat cash before the Novemver fork.

Im suspecting the same thing too on which on this upcoming fork on November  would be the dumping and would somehow be the same on the situation like on August 1 event which the price have fallen back again on 1800 price and it will surely happen again on this upcoming November this is why we should really be wise on exiting or selling out our bitcoin on peak prices and buy again when it was still cheap back again.

Also think it will crash but im expecting it in late September and early October not before that. Every time in the past when certain point in price is eached bitcoin then fall down this is something that cannot be evaded only postponed nothing else. We will see crash but we will not see this now not this month at least.

As bitcoin price moves up and down, even the adoption also getting increase everyday. I don't price will surpass the 5000$ in this year. As said, we can expect the dump in future months and still that too will not be stable years wll recover some months again. It is like chain for me whenever I am seeing in the chart.

It definitely seems like this rally still has some legs to it. Elliott wavers seem to think we are in a Wave 5, which for Bitcoin, is usually a big blowoff top. It doesn't seem like we have seen the blowoff quite yet. In fact, we are now consolidating above the top that the OP referred to, indicating that the previous ceiling is now becoming support.

I think $5000 is possible on this run. Maybe more. :)

Falling bitcoin prices is not expected, but it can happen as long as we are in a world like this. The demand factor becomes one of the benchmarks to perform the analysis. I am optimistic bitcoin prices can be up to 5000USD, this will greatly enhance the competitiveness of bitcoin in world financial markets. Lets look at recent history, ETH contracts are inherently flawed, the ability to steal from them exists and it gets exploited by those who can. I don't see this as any different.

You cannot deny that a crash haven't happened. A crash took place in a small scale, and the same might happen once again as we are not sure about the next move. Also I would like to say that kwuckduck might have made a little varied prediction at present, but majority of his predictions were close to the real happenings.

When he started this thread saying "After the biggest pump in history of Bitcoin..."....... All of his almost inexistent credibility got lost forever. This has not been nowhere near the biggest pump in Bitcoin history. That is a fact, and the rest is bullshit too.

That $400+ dump is already a thing from ancient past, the crash will happen when we hit $5000 ore $10.000 i dont know.
