I am accessing this forum for a while now but I can't. I've been welcomed by a lot of bad gateway, I look at a site to know if this forum is down and it is. Is there any problem about the site? Or maybe an upgrade like the badges last time?

I also experienced the same problem from the past 4 hours... finally able to get in just now...

It happens from time to time. Could just be a lot of traffic or a ddos attack. I'm sure a lot of people are trying to access the forum with the current price climbs as well so that could have something to do with it.

This has happened before, and theymos has solved it. Probably about bandwitch issues and matters relating to the number of online users of this forum. Hopefully can be smooth again because this is quite disturbing, we are quite difficult though to access a post. I believe in existing team doing bitcointalk development forum. It may take some time to fix it.

After scaling bitcoin,I think its time for theymos to make the forum scalable as well.Takes time to open pages,post replies and viewing larger threads.Being facing the issue since a long time now.Don't remember this happening a year back.It's definitely the rise in traffic in the last few months.

I've also been seeing this 504 more and more lately, the forum for me has been loading very slowly for the past week with occasionally sending that overload message. Today I couldn't access forum for at least an hour.

I remember that when someone is attacking this forum and I am so pissed in my ISP because I thought that is just my internet connection.

I think I know why we can't access the forum, they added a captcha when you are logging in here in the forum. It is my first time seeing that here in the forum. I don't know why though, I think it is not that big deal, luckily it is not a DDos attack now.

Ohh wow, so someone really did an attack to this forum?? That's pretty scary and a tough job to pull. I gotta say that who ever dis that had a lot of balls or is just dumb i think, but whatever it is, i'm glad we're not getting attacked. Because i was also getting a little bit worried when the page couldn't load. I thought it was my carrier's fault. But turns out it's not so good thing i found this topic being discussed.

I think you misunderstood, I told something that happened in the past and that isn't happening now. They added a feature in this forum and I think you can see that everytime you log in your account.
There is no attack.

I encountered the same problem about a week ago or maybe a little earlier than that but for the last two days or so I've been facing a very strange problem and that is most of the times I try to access bitcointalk I get error like bitcointalk took too long to respond and the website won't load or open and as a result I quit attempting to access it and try another different browser to access bitcointalk and I can access it and even after having accessed it if I stay inactive as I read various different threads and the replies in them and that takes time for sure and after having read them when I myself hit the reply button to make a reply I get the same error "bitcointalk.org took too long to respond....." etc I wonder and even worried about the security of my account. I changed my password only two days ago but that too didn't solve my problem. I would like admin or mods' help and guidance in this regard.
