Such news creates hype around bitcoin. This creates an uncontrollable rise in prices and I would not be surprised if this year we will see even $ 5,000, but what will happen then. The higher the price the less will be willing to buy bitcoins. Nobody thinks of it?

It looks like it stays not so much time between 4000 and 5000$ and if we will continue the moon is going to be few hours after  :D

Price has been growing good and now I believe a correction is taking place. This is all because of stability gain and soon this might get bitcoin a stable price above $4000 though the price is currently decreasing below $3800.

I think it won't grow in straight line pattern 1-2-3-4 etc because now investors are looking to book their profits so I am expecting volatility on the price chart so it will take some more days along with the ups and downs. This price rally is backed by investors and traders and so the growth. I am expecting organic $5K level within a year and with trader's and investor's support, it might cross $7K in that period.

I think we've hit the top of the bull run that followed the bitcoin fork. Right now people are happy to cash out so we will be seeing a correction I believe.

Your calculations are good but at the time time you must know that times have changed when the bitcoin was started and today when its price is 4K. I think 5000$ can be within a month or two, if there is no bad news of bitcoins heard.

Not exactly, i would tell you how many days exact, but i am sure in this year bitcoin definitely cross $5000.
Before month i didn't believe that bitcoin could be hit $4000, but within month, it has been happened, and i am surprised even i have no words, that's why i am very hopefully that in this year of 2017 bitcoin sure hit $5000 to $5500.

We can expect the 5k in Sept as the price is surging and reaching new heights daily . So anyone who had invested couple of months back would have got good returns till now and in future as well it will give greats returns .

He is not talking about the American dollar instead the Canadian dollar and so it took a couple of months to cross $4000 CAD ,with the price of bitcoin already crossed $4000 USD which is over $5000 CAD and i am still amazed by the way the price is soaring and we saw a price rise of above $1500 in a small amount of time and with the way things are going we could cross $5000 very soon.

I think in September the bitcoin price will be up to $ 6000, and the price for each year will always go up, I predict the next 4-5 years bitcoin prices will stabilize at $ 100,000

i think it will stay longer since now many more believe and buy bitcoin. will keep the price around 2 weeks n will be higher again

It will crash, and burn (i mean start engines up again), rise and rise, and crash, and rise, and...you get the picture.  I fully expect at some point for reason and moderation to be out the window and for the price to reach completely stupid levels.  the ultimate bubble will be upon us, not too soon I hope.  i need more coins to prepare.

Bitcoin hitting $5000 CAD is great.

But for me, talking about the next price level is spectator shit, if we want to hit the next milestone number we should all devote more time to normalizing the idea of bitcoin with our family, friends, neighbors, coworkers. Let's help them realize that Bitcoin isn't just a news headline about "the bubble" or "a ransom attack" or "bitcoin split!"

We need to teach people what we believe Bitcoin is. A currency. A store of value. An investment. A better way to build wealth. A way to bring the poor out of poverty. The first example of what's possible with this great new technology called "blockchain".

There will be a big dump when the price hits $5k. Holders will sell part of their Bitcoins as most of them are making double profit off their investment. By the end of the year it'll hit $5k but think about the time correction will take.

It's possible for bitcoin to hit $5000 and it's possible also for it to crashed up to $1000. That is something no one can really tell, bitcoin is unpredictable we all know that for a fact but like every one here I am also hoping it would not fall rather continue to appreciate. Let's just wait and pray
